how bad is pork really ?
i keep having people around me tell me that i shouldnt eat pork often cuz its supposed to be really unhealthy.
now, whats the deal with that, whats so much better in beef/chicken that does not apply to pork ?
i cannot afford eating beef so often and pork is just so cheap, straighten me out on that please!

honestly lean pork is pretty much equal to lean chicken.
" 3 oz. of chicken (skinless breast, cooked and trimmed) *
140 calories; 25g protein; 3.1g fat (0.9g saturated, 0.7g polyunsaturated); 73g cholesterol
3 oz. of pork (tenderloin, cooked and trimmed) *
139 calories; 24g protein; 4.1g fat (1.4g saturated, 0.49 polyunsaturated); 67g cholesterol
DROP IN LDL
Chicken: 7.6%-8.0%
Pork: 6.8%-7.1%
* U.S. Department of Agriculture Handbook 8 series"

I prefer organic pastured pork....the fattiest cuts possible...the fat from a pig that ate what nature intended it to eat is very healthy. Toxins are stored in fat, so when eating beef or pork or any meat in general, eat it from a healthy animal, not a sick factory animal that is fed toxic crap. If you can't get organic or pastured by any means, then go for the leanest cuts of pork.

Pork gets a bad rap because of bacon and ribs. Tons of fat, saturated fat, etc... But like everyone else said, its a great alternative, just make sure to cut excess outer fat, and purchase loins or leaner cuts.

Sometimes instead of chicken I will buy boneless sirloin pork chops. I was told they are very lean. I was just checking to see if this is in fact true.

Other than the high-sodium content, which shouldn't be an issue unless you have a family predisposition and hate placebo weight gain, nothing.

Pork does suck compared to beef or lamb. I don't know why, but there's something about it, it just seems to contribute less to your strength and health

Stick to the loin family and watch your serving size.

Pigs eat and sleep in their own ****.
Besides that pork makes me break out. I like having a clear face so I stay away from that garbage.

I just had pork tenderloin with rice and veggies...love the stuff.
I try to cut off excess fat that might be on it, but it's not bad fat either way so I don't sweat it.
