Meester.Rip is on a distinguished road. (+10)
38 and looking to start lifting again

Is there any supplements I should check out to help with the gains seeing as at my age my hormone levels are on the decline.

If so which one and in what order of importance. I've started doing a full body routine with 1 set for each set of muscles 3 times a week M-W-F with the hope to get up to a routine of 3 sets per muscle group twice a week. IE Chest & Back on Monday and Thursday and then Legs, Arms and shoulders on Tuesday and Friday.

I am 190 and 5'9".

BMR is 1627.2 and BMI is 28.1 which puts me at the high end of the Overweight Category. I used to lift about 10 years ago so I know most of the movements. I am just having a hard time getting motivated as the excess weight has taken a lot of my energy. My play is to do the lifting in the morning while my children are sleeping and I can run in the evening when my wife is home to watch the kids.

keep doing the 1set thing its like a warm up cause ur kinda old do it for like 2 weeks then go up the sets. if you want a supplement:
protein- thats a MUST
multivitamin- needed
creatine-if you want, it could help
natural test booster- good for your age

and thats it

You could break it up to doing chest and back on one day then quads and hams the second day. Doing Shoulders Bi's and tri's on the third day. I would do 3 sets of 10 reps for each exercise. Super setting back and forth for each muscle group. IE, set of bench press then a set low cable rows. Do it for three sets then do Incline Bench press followed by wide grip lat pull downs three sets. Etc. Etc. Till each muscle group has completed 3 to 4 sets or 10 reps. this will serve as not only building your muscle but will also serve as a cardio routine. Since you will be going from one exercise to another with out rest.

As for a supplement to raise you test. I would suggest T-Bomb II. It is a natural testosterone builder and estrogen suppressor.
