Not all vitamins are water soluble. Some are fat soluble. You do have to be more carefull with the fat soluble vits.

How can I tell if a certain vitamin is water or fat soluble?

Most of the ones in Animal Pak are, but some aren't. You should be good. BCAA's aren't proven. In fact they are generally disproven. But PW is mainly an EAA source. I actually use two scoops and get a full serving of Beta Alanine and Citrulline Malate. I really don't care about the EAA/BCAA.

All the B vitamins are but you should be careful about too much niacin. Retinal Palmitate (vitamin a) can be very dangerous in higher than normal dosages, but Animal Pak has Beta Carotene which is a precursor to Vitamin A and is water soluble, so an excess is just flushed from your system. Do some research on it if you want more.

Animal pak says to take the pills 30 minutes after the meal prior to your workout. What if I work out right when I wake up after eating only an orange or apple? What should I do?

I think you would get a stomach ache from taking the vitamins on a near empty stomach.
I would take them with a full meal. That's what I'm going to be doing, anyway.

The two most popular/most heavily pimped are Animal Pak and Orange Triad.
That's the recurring theme I have seen.

Second that. The Pak has been sold for over 25 years if I'm not mistaken, so it's a solid and proven choice.
I've heard good things about Orange Triad, but don't know much about it.

Truly amazes me it's been around that long, not going away like almost every other supplement in the bodybuilding world.

You do not have to take the Pak immediately pre workout. You should take it with a substantial whole food meal. In your case I would take them with your first solid, whole food meal of the day even if it's after lifting.

Correct 25 years. That is a true testament to the product, there's been some formula changes and some label changes over the years but more bodybuilders/athletes have cut their teeth on Animal Pak than any other multi in our industry. And it continues to the top selling multivitamin 25 years later.

I have a custom stak of animal pak as basis and carnitine, arginine, Vitamin C, Fish oil, BCAA's, Whey Protein, etc, does that sound like a dangerous stak and does animal stak work with MRP's or only actual digestible meals.

Best by far...
Once again, after years of playing around with different products trying to find something that I experienced a notable difference with I am coming back to a product that I have used with good effect in the past. That multi is Activite by MHP. I tried it after reading about the importance of a good multi vitamin in an Ironman column a few couple of years ago...I think maybe Charles Poliquin's column. In any case, Activite is every bit as good as it was reviewed and I tossed my Mega men in the trash. Furthermore, this multi has some hard research backing its efficacy so I'm a little less skeptical of the claims than some other products.

I agree. I've tried it for 3 months and really liked it. One of the best multi ever imo but now i'm back to my good old UN Super complete formula because it's also a good ones and it's cheaper (at least here in Paris).

For these vitamins...
NOW Adams
ON Opti-Men
GNC Mega-men
CL Orange Triad
Animal Pak
Dumb question... Are they made in the USA? And should that be a concern to begin with?

Either Orange Triad or Animal Pak. I go with Orange Triad because it covers about every need possible in terms of joint support, immunue support, and digestive support, so you are definitely getting your moneys worth. Has worked amazingly for me!!

yup, orange triad has you covered from every angle at a great value. it also allows you to time release the ingredients by taking 2 tabs with each meal instead of the whole dose at one time, which should lead to better absorbtion.

Orange Triad definitely. Not only a multi but a joint, digestive, and immune support supplement all in one and you don't have to take more than 6 pills a day. You won't have to buy a joint support or digestive enzyme supplement separate because you get them all in one with this product.
Very convenient and cost-effective. Controlled Labs Orange Triad gets the vote in my department for Best Overrall Multi-Vitamin. Five stars!!
