how in the world can you tell he did a good job. im not saying he didnt but the production was just crap. they were in the new orleans areana and look at how poor joe weider was put ut there. they should call vince mcmahon or something.

Hey Shawn i have always been a big fan of yours and i glad to see your giving back to the sport and most of all your a fellow Christian. My old boss Jimmy said he use to train with back in the day. i think at one time he was Mr. California, i was wondering if you remember him. anyways i 'm looking to compete in my first show next may. i am hoping to come in at 235. I'm 273 right now and about 13-16% bf. do think this is a reasonable goal or not?also what was the biggest thing you learned from your first show. If you have any advice for me i would love to hear it.

Shawn, first of all I would love to just say that I've always been a huge fan of yours. I thought that you and Bob did an outstanding job at the Olympia this year. I was going through some of your old videos and the one where you taliking about not understanding why judges were picking guys with just size and not the total package. Being at the Olympia this year and after Jay was crowned, you were the 1st person who entered my mind. I was so taken back to what you said and it's so true. The judges are still judging the same like they did back when you were competing. Do you think that a guy with the total package will ever be able to beat someone that's just got size? We have to have different weight classes in order to make this fair. What's your take on all this?

I do have a question is you might be able to answer it. I know I am small but I love this sport and would do anything to achieve at this....
I am 16 in High School, Junior. I admire you and your training style.Here is a little bit about me.
I was over weight in 7th grade lost a whole bunch of weight and in 8th grade I became aniroxec. I was under 100 pounds. I meet a Body Builder and he got my life straight. Body Building saved my life. I fell in love with the sport. I have been lifting for 3 years and love pushing my body. I always train hard but I have been 113 lbs for the last year and a half. I finally decided that if I ever want to compete as a body builder I gotta eat like one. A month ago I uped my cals by 300 and I have gained 13 lbs. I eat very clean. I havent had fast food or sugar in 3 years. I eat every 3 hours 6 times a day. I stive to someday compete. I know I am small but my work ethic is insaine. I am an extremest and push my body to the limits... My question is how did you get discoverd??? what does it take for someone to get a guy to personalize a diet plan, and get someone to get a training plan down??? i am so conumed with one day bieng a Body Builder I will do what ever it takes...

Hows it going.First off I want to say I am a huge fan.I just started competing in November of 2007, it was fun but as I look at the sport I have to say, the politics are a bunch of bull ****,it should just be,may the best man win.Take this years olympia.Anyone with eyes and a knowlege of bodybuilding knows that Victor Martinez should have won.As for myself,competing for the first time really showed me what it takes to stand on stage.The mental aspect of it, the physical aspect of it and the financial aspect of it.I just think it was wrong what happened to Victor.That would crush me if somthing like that ever happened to me. Do you thing it will ever change?

Next to Arnold, you are the most successful bodybuilder alive. I hope one day I'll be as successful as you are in the sport I love. But first things first, I must fight to earn my pro card against 100s of great bodybuilders.

I think it's amazing how you got your pro card at a young age.
18 or 19? wow!! I want to get mine before I turn 25. I know I can do it, so I press on.

ewww. why would you want to be a bb in this day and age? get ready to pump yourself full of GH (all the T in the word will not make you as big and cut as a modern bb), have a huge gut, and be plain ugly looking. if you are going for the shawn ray look you dont even stand a chance because you will be too small to compete. its very sad actually. i remember when mr. O was televised. then ronnie and his kind ruined it with their elephant builds.
