Question Cardio after leg day?

I was just wondering when you guys think it's safe to hit cardio after a leg day. How many days, or hours, should you wait after leg day to hit like an eliptical machine, or a treadmill.

You should be OK to do some low intensity cardio the very next day. You will probably be sore but you should still be able to walk on a treadmill.

I try to time my days off for immediately following my leg workouts, just for the cardio reason. Even the second day after a leg workout my legs are sore, but I can generally get through a cardio routine despite that.

It's probably ok to do it as long as you can put up with the aches and pain. It shouldn't impede your muscle recovery really since you're not overloading your quads or anything.

Yes it's alright. If it's low intensity too the increased bloodflow can help recovery.

Your body will never adapt to the stress if you keep skipping workouts.

Yeah I ended up doing some low intensity stuff on the eliptical machine. It made the soreness in my legs go away for a little bit, but it's actually a little worse today. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the cardio though, since more times my legs are more sore the second day after 'leg day'.

I play ball the day after legs, but I make sure I do protein after the workout, and the next a.m. as well...
