Can Your Legs Gain Mass without Squats and Deadlifts?
Greetings,
I wonder if one were to avoid using squats and deadlifts and use exercises on machines like hack squats or leg presses would that build mass OR is it REQUIRED to do the squats and/or deadlifts.
Thanks in advance.

You can gain mass from any exercise but why not use two of the best ones there are?

Sure. You don't have to squat to build huge legs but there isn't an exercise better than squats.
Here are some good exercises to put on mass :
Leg presses
Reverse lunges
Hack squats

You can easily gain mass on your legs without squats and deads, but probably not at the same pace you would with them...

IMO nothing hits all the diff muscles as balanced as doing Bulgarian split squats....i did tabata for these the other day and quads hams and glutes all are in pain! no inbalances here!
....then again my opinion might mean jack to you, seeing as i only front squat 110 and DL 135 lol...
but the point is: im REALLY weak at those exercises, yet i have 27" thighs at 6' 200lbs 13-15% bf... im not saying its impressive, but clearly im balanced enough...and i SUCK at squats/ DL....
one legged Romanian deadlifts + bulgarian split squats = big legs without squats and DL
