What are the best foods to gain massive calories on when trying to do a clean bulk?
It seems so freaking hard to eat a lot of calories when trying to do a clean bulk. A tuna sandwich is like 200 cal and id need to eat 15-20 of these a day to meet my daily requirement. Veggies and fruits contribute very little to overall calories. Its hard to clean bulk because not only is it hard to eat so much food (like 15 sammiches) but its also expensive and time consuming preparing the food
What are the foods you guys eat to gain a lot of (good) calories quickly?
I have been trying the last 3 days to eat clean and Ive found im eating like 1500 calories only . My wallet and my stomach cant take eating all this. I was used to a burger and fries with a coke that totalled 2500 calories lol.

agreed. Also, all the things listed will help you. Feel free to put mayo on that tuna and oil in stuff.
Side note: how do you only eat that much and have enough energy/feel satisfied? You must not be very active. I struggle to stay around 3200 but tend to hit the peanut butter a little hard...

If your really having trouble getting all the cals, find a high calorie cleancal shake recipe
for e.g
i have
1 cup oats
1-2 scoops whey
1 tbsp natty PB
500 ml skim milk
low-fat cottage cheese
hell, it doesn't taste the best, but it sure is a lot of clean calories. And I don't get too full from it.
So my next meal goes down easy and it doesn't seem like a chore!

For me it is.
Whole Eggs => Best bulk food IMO.
Oats => Great carb source.
Whole Wheat Bread/Pasta to get extra carbs throughout the day.
=)

the difference between a mass gain and fat loss diet for me is, more milk (maybe 16 oz more), more oats (1/2 cup dry more), an extra chicken breast, maybe an extra apple or banana, and i throw in some rice at dinner. I gain mass at 3500.

get your mind out of the gutter, if your thinkin of going to fast food to get calories your so wrong.
Eat another bowl of oats, throw in some peanut butter, and top it with some whey protein, give your body something nutritious, not a grease filled cheese burger.

Yes! And while you are at it, down a 32 oz McDonald's milkshake. It's only 1160 calories.

Add milk to this and that is my breakfast most mornings... I can't stand to eat solid food when I wake up.

may i ask why oats? arent oats mainly fibre - that is, undigestible non-usable calories? i dont understand why oats are so heavily touted as being great to gain mass - all you do is poop is out (and im not 60 where defecation is an issue)

agreed. oat = poop. But I have a bowl of it an hour preworkout, and a dump 10 minute pre-workout. It all works great!

You need to stop thinking about just calories. You NEED fiber. I used to be like the typical American.. no more than 15 grams of fiber a day. Now I get anywhere between 30 grams to 50 grams a day. My bowels never felt better.
Oats are full of carbs and very cheap. For $2 I have a week's supply of oatmeal.

I'm sure switching from junk food to the real thing is very daunting. You could use peanut butter instead of tuna, that way you only need to have 10 sandwiches a day.
