going into the marines
I am planning on going into the marines, then being a cop, and maybe eventually working in the private security field. I was wondering what kind of training i should start doing to better myself for combat, and situations that would require strength, agility, and speed.

Do a lot of cardio and sprints especially, that gear is heavy if u have to move around a lot.

When I was 13, I did a 2 week boot camp. Part of the requirnment for the Naval Sea Cadets.
Its all about endurance man; miles after miles, pushups after pushups.. Get your endurance up real good. Start jogging a mile 3-4 times a week. Then next week add another mile or something; etc..
They will push you to the limit in the boot camp.

Your first priority should be running (and lots of it) and your pullups. If you have a problem with situps, put an emphasis on that as well.
Try and go to Combatives school once you get to fleet too.

From what i know from my buddy who went over the summer, do alot of conditioning, short pylo workouts and such. As you need the long distance running but they also "kill you" during PT where they call you out and make you do all kinds of crazy sprints, pushups, etc. They really make a man out of you, I would die in bootcamp, as im the kind of guy that would laugh. Face the consequences of laughing, then do it all over again the next day.
Good Luck, Have Fun, GOD Bless.

not that hard, work on pullups, and be able to run 3 miles in about 23 minutes or udner, which isnt that hard.
Boot camp is a mental ****, if you have any legit questions send me a pm.
I've been over for about 2 years and 3 months
