Is your point that you won't go to complete **** if you drink occassionally? If so, I agree. The more intense your physical goals become though, the less drinking you'll PROBABLY be able to get away with and still remain competitive.
Personally I love drinking! A little too much! But at my age, it catches up with you quick. Right now, I don't drink at all and wont until about july, which will be 6mnths with none (contst prep).
When I do drink, once every couple/few weeks is about all I can handle before my body says "F_YOU".

I'm guessing you posted this because you like to drink, but also like bodybuilding and you were wondering if the former would have a negative effect on the latter. You already know that drinking has a negative effect on bodybuilding, it lowers testosterone, makes it difficult to eat well, and is simply empty calories, but as long as you keep it to a minimum (just weekends or whatever) and not get overly smashed I'd say you should be able to stay in good shape while enjoying the occasional drink.
Now if your goal is to win a competition, set a record, or just make the most progress you possibly can then you shouldn't drink.
so it depends on your goals I guess

besides whether or not it has an effect on your physical appearance, you gotta remember it also has an effect on your liver

As with anything, Moderation is the key. You can also eat dessert while bodybuilding - the difference would be between once or twice a week, and an entire sheet cake every night
And as your goals become more intense (such as standing on a competition stage), the impact of even minor negatives on your training will become much more pronounced.

It also kills brain cells, I did drink younger, but now a little red wine 3-4 times a week.

Well, that is why i probably posted....lol..i enjoy drinking...but i haven't gotten smashed since i been working out seriously..i kept myself in control...but i feel so guilty even if i only drink one beer..its just social to drink..you guys know what i mean..
and i'm not out there to be a professional bodybuiler, just want to be in amazing shape...lean muscle with 8-9% body fat..i think i'm 11% now..those pics are about a month old...i'm making progress, i just hope the drinking doesn't hinder it.

yes and no
"that much" I would say no
but youre not gonna win an olympia while getting drunk because to be at your best, your body has to be building muscle 24/7
the avg college guy trying to get some biceps and who doesnt even have good nutrition anyway in the first place can get away with drinking

alot of my huge/tanked/ripped buds who go to clubs get ****faced every weekend. If you're diet is in check, and you workout regularly, I think you'll be fine. Of course, they don't compete.

Keep in mind. All you guys getting away with it are in your early 20's. As you get older this will likely change. The bad news, the habbit will get worse as your tollerance to withstand it gets less. Have a good time; just don't let yourself fall into the lifestyle where you need booze to have fun.
