I just did a head count and out of 34 starting Glamazons, we are now down to 12 still in the game. That`s 22 drop outs. Looks like Msfatbootie didn`t update, either.

At least us final 12 Glamazons seem to be going strong. So that`s good!

Yes ma'am, you have to type the [ & /`s every time, as that is the code to make it do what you want. I dont know of a color chart, lol, I just picked a couple from my imagination to give you an example. LOL.

And who can tell us "how to" use a color AND a bold print?
Thats what I dont know how to do.

Thanks IronIc - yes he needs a good kick in the bootie - maybe I will just have to Glamazon dozen come here and do that

Your job sounds great - can't beat those 3 day weekends!!

we married as teens and in Thanksgiving 1999, about ages 27, he split with his 16 yr old waitress, lol. But get this... besides the fact that he is a druggie and a drunk and has a temper to run from! He has grown old and feeble at his young 36 yrs and has moved from Colorado, where we split up at, to my state here in Florida, about 2 months ago- in fact he lived with me again for 6 weeks, then moved into my daughters house around the corner from me.

When they leave, aren't they suppose to go away too?

Also, my niece just moved to Florida as well and is pregnant ( after being told she cant have kids ) and has left behind the daddy, who also is a jerk. She is only 23 years old, bless her heart.

But you are not alone Jadesky. Put on your Armour and do what ya gotta do. If you think it will hurt to do the right thing, take an aspirin first and hit the gym real hard. Hehe.

Surprisingly, it only took me eight months to get over him leaving me. Now... I wish he had done it sooner, like way sooner.

Blessings.

I DID throw mine out, but my sister brought home a new one, . I weigh every morning. Speaking of which- I have lost one pound.
Wow - thanks for sharing your story YMCA - sounds like he can't keep away from you - despite 16 year old waitresses! But I know the right guy is out there for some one as kind hearted as you. And yes, the armour is definitely on me now. I really wish I had a punch bag here, LOL!

And congratulations on the 1lb loss - woohoo!!

Thanks for your sympathy. And congratulations for your 25 years - that's awesome!! We've been married for 2 years (in May), so I think we're still adjusting to each other - its really a case of opposites attract - I'm very conservative with money (except for gifts - I figure I work really hard so for special occasions I can make an effort for family and friends) and he's totally opposite - would spend the last dime he had - and its been one thing after another recently - costing money, Friday was really such a bad day, and we'll have to hire an attorney etc to deal with this mess. So more money out of the door, that should have been saved Oh well, like you said if it's meant to be, it will be.

Anyway, I'm sorry to burden you all with my problems... it's probably all TMI!! But on a better note, I didn't get my exercise in on Friday due to all this running around and having to get up unexpectedly at 3.30am, but I didn't eat off plan. Which for me is a big achievement. Because with this high level of stress, I was surprised with myself that I didn't give into a chocolate milkshake etc etc. I didn't get all my calories in yesterday because I was running around all day, but I didn't eat anything bad, and for me that's a miracle.

Burden away...it`s good to talk it out. In spite of all your stress, you did great with your foods! Who knows..you may even drop a few pounds!! And I know all about that lawyer fee stuff. We had to put up the money for my Son to fight for his custody rights with Son`s mother. Thank goodness the kids were able to agree on 50-50 custody and they get along really good, now. My little grandson is in our home 3.5 days out of the week and he is perfectly happy with the arrangements. His parents separated when he was 9 months old..they shared even custody (without court order) until he was 2..then it became legal when he was 2.5. So this back and forth, two households, is all he has ever known and he loves it. He will be 5 in July.

Sure hope your legal issues can get resolved, quickly. Your marriage is still very brand new..so these kind of bumps in the road are about the norm. Plus, you have ONLY had 2 years to train him...this is the baby stage! There IS hope..trust me!! LOL As times goes by, you two will become more alike and things start to get easier.

Good luck w/the Keto, Juliette! If you stick to it, you'll drop the weight, have good eliminations and the food is yummy. Watch for a drop in energy, though, when you are depleted.

RDF- How did your day at the museum go? And the P word? *pizza*

And I always said that too: "tanned fat is more attractive than stark white fat!"

hi ladies

I'm sorry I havent been int his thread for the past couple of weeks. I've had some problems with my progress along with some wimmenz things which affected my diet and food intake as well as my motivation. It also made me realise that since this year, every month it gets harder and harder to stay away from carbs and sugar. chromium or l-glutamine don't help my cravings any more either

I have been keeping my training, as part of normal habit but I've realsied that I don't look forward to it anymore - I just do it. I changed my rep range to 20 reps so as to focus on endurance for a while. I get on with it (because my endurance sucks) but I'm just not into it. I'm going to speak to my trainer about it.

I should have posted about this stuff earleir but I'm really bad about talking about what's going on. it's a throwback from being an only child, lol!

anyway. I'm getting back on track. I have a colonic on Friday so I'm fruit-and-veg fasting from Tuesday.

Yeah missing the carbs is the problem lol! Even after a couple of weeks I've decided I have to eat more fruit and veg - partly for variety but mostly for evergy - I've figured that if I keep away from bread, rice, pasta and sugar, it's a good start, and that the carbs I eat will be coming from nutritious foods so I should be OK

I have also become bored in the gym, but I was spring cleaning my spare room at the weekend, and I came across all my boxes of magazines, dating from 2002-5. On top I found a workout card I typed up years ago (judging by the gym I went to, it's a good 6 years ago!)

It was the M&F Rock HArd Challenge, and I remember it hurt like hell, but I got results, so I'll be starting that, from today Hopefully it'll be the kick up the arse I need....

Wink

Miss Thing, You might look at going to the gym like going to church. You intend to go, but you wake up and fight getting there, but you do it anyway because that is where you are suppose to be.

I am a Christian, and though I do not go to church much, I remember the days I use to and I thought that might be a good comparison. Church=Gym.

In either case- church or gym, it's expected that you will backslide from priorities for whatever reason and it's normal.

Just have a revival and get filled up again. Just like Christians run out of spiritual fuel sometimes, we GLAMAZONS run out of motivational fuel too.

Blessings to you Miss Thing. Keep your chin up, keep your faith up.

Juliet! Sorry I haven't posted any responses lately! Life has been CRAZY!!! To answer your questions, I have been going to the tanning bed so I can get an all-over tan so that when I FINALLY get to do a competition, the paint-on tan stuff won't look orange!

The pizza place experience was fine...I had a huge artichoke chicken salad and it was super yummy, so I didn't feel left out at all. The museum was awesome, too. It was a touring science exhibit called The Body: The Universe Within. It uses real human bodies, so that was super interesting, but slightly creepy, too. :-)

And thanks for the rear-end comment!!! That's actually my biggest problem area, so that made my day!

Good job, gurl!

PS ~ Did you also get an all over tan? If so, is it real or fake...? Either way it looks good.

Good to see a post from you rdf.
STAY AWAY from the orange tanning oils! Our skin is the largest breathing organ and everything you put on it goes straight into our bloodstream. I have heard:

If you wouldn't eat it, don't wear it. ( Good advise )

Real Human Beings????? Wow, I wanna find one in my area. I love stuff like that. In fact, I have seriously considered purchasing a morgue. I know- sounds nutso, but it interests me, lol.

I try to not use any tanning lotion at all--I do use some occasionally, but just once a month or so. Probably doesn't do any good using it that rarely, but I hate feeling like my pores are all clogged up afterwards!

Good afternoon ladies! MissThing, it's good to see you posting!

CHEST:
Smith Flat Bench:
30x15(warmup), 2x40x10, 4x50x5
I am feeling much stronger now. I really like the Smith machine.

Smith Incline Bench: 20x15(warmup), 2x30x10, 4x40x5

BACK:
Assisted WG Chin:
140x15(warmup), 130x15, 120x12, 110x10, 2x100x5
It starts getting hard at the 120 lb assist. The 2 100 lb sets were pretty ugly!

T-Bar Row: 25x15(warmup), 4x45x10
It's pretty cool putting that 45 lb plate onto the T-bar. I hope to have a few of 'em on there someday!

CARDIO:
Elliptical:
25 minutes, levels up to 5
Burned about 212 calories

Hi Ladies - just checking in with you all

IronIc good job on your workout - you are doing fantastic!

MissThing Hang in there!! You can get through this!!

YMCA Did your books come yet for the Keto?

RDF Nice to hear from you - sounds like you had a great time at the museum - and mmm artichokes - I need to get some - I love artichokes

Beklet Glad you are doing well on the keto - any lbs coming off yet or is too early to tell? The Rock Hard challenge sounds intimidating Enjoy!!

MCG Thanks for your support - you are so sweet!

I can't believe its already March 10th - seems like we just did pics. Also I hate Daylight Saving Time - it always throws me off - that one hour requires re-programming myself to get out of bed earlier than my body thinks it needs to get up!!ha ha

Ok so I went to the gym tonight and did my daily double workout. And I even got a compliment. A personal Trainer stopped me and told me that he had been watching me for a few months and he said that I have gained strength in my arms, tightened my belly and shook off some bootie!! He said my consistency has been paying up and told me to keep up the good work! He sooo made my day.

All I have left for the night to do are my daily 10 situps.

No Jadesky they didn't come. lol. I will just have to be patient. But they need to hurry up! I am on a time frame to start my keto! lol.

Blessings.

Unhappy

ok ladies I know that I need to be here more often, although I dont post I do read them and they give me great inspiration. i must say that February started off on a great note, I was excited about my first couple of pounds. I then transfered to a new building, still bring my lunch and keeping on track. As I started to make new friends bring my 4 meals didn't seem as important because i was lunching(eating bad) with my new found friends. so the last week in Feb. for me was horrible. I vowed to start back on Monday bringing my meals. this is my routine lose a few pds start to slack off and end up bigger then I initially started. I found a 3month workout routine in muscle building and started a new workout today. So ladies, thanks for listening to my confession and YMCA for your monthly check ins.

Youre gonna be ok Phalance. Just stay on top of it best you can. Your dedication both to yourself and in this thread is going to make you more mentally aware of your habits and everything will workout. It takes time to create a habit. Especially when it comes to fitness because there are so many little things that need to be changed and tweaked. Thanks for sharing.

Hi girls,

I have been away for a week because I needed a break. I was just exhausted mentally and physically and everyday was such a long battle for me. I have been doing this journey for two years and I have moments like this when I just need a break. So I had about three free days. I did get back on track and am so much more happier. Having the three free days and eating crap and not working out made me realize how good I feel when I do eat healty and workout. And now I am ready to fight and have fun again.

IronIc, as someone mentioned above, I did lose a lot of weight. I did it by counting calories and logging my food at www.myfooddiary.com. By logging your food, you can see that even if you eat something you would consider "bad" like McDonalds, pizza or ice cream, that you did not ruin a day because it can fit into your daily totals. It teaches you about portion control rather than elimination. I can not imagine my life without the foods that I love. I just learned to balance them into my healthy lifestyle. The website also lists your macros and actually gives you a carb range of up to 65%. It has a database of 20,000 different foods so you do not have to put in the nutritional information on it. This might help with the weekends because if you force yourself to log everything you eat on the weekends, you can see what a difference it makes. I find that by logging my food, I am much more aware of everything I am eating.

As for carb reduction, I tried to keep my carbs under 40% but it was making me tired. I found that the 50% range is much more manageable.

rdf803 and Hot Rose, your progress pictures are great. I can see such a great difference.

Jadesky, I have made a lot of changes on my journey. Some of those changes will change you as a person. You might not be the same person that got married to your husband two years ago. All I can suggest is that you continue to workout and eat right and do this for yourself. You will figure out what is the best for YOU when you are ready. Feel free to come and vent because let me tell you, emotional eating and stress eating is what got many of us into obesity in the first place. If we do not discuss these things and work through them, we will never be able to heal them and reach our goals. So yes we are a fitness site and thread, but the issues that plague us daily and gives us stress affects our eating and workouts, so please feel free to discuss them. Besides this is a no male zone so we are open to male bashing at any time, lol (JK).

YMCA, your continued determination and support is greatly appreciated it because just when we want to give up, you give us encouragement. Thanks.

MCG, keep up the good work. Great t-shirt btw.

Going4Lean, thanks for you support and encouragement.

March is halfway here but Spring is still in the horizon so we can all get ready for summer and the bikinis, lol.
