Introduce your occupation :)
Hi people,
Given that many of us have congregated online to argue or debate one another about religion or politics. Why not take abit of time to introduce your occupation . You never know, I might just be making some online buddies who are lawyers (yup...free legal advice) or doctors/engineers/etc. I'll start first...I am currently pursuing my PhD in experimental neuropsychology and will be commencing a Masters in clinical neuropsychology next year. How about the rest? Jagerboy? Ruhanv? AKR? ...etc

wow. i feel like an idiot don't even know what neuropsychology is...
i'm an expat in china starting operations for an american supply chain management company. we create replenishment and supply chain programs for the automotive, truck and heavy industries. i do sourcing, sales, accounting, warehouse management, order fulfillment, process engineering, and drive a forklift.
i'm also working on starting my own business development company, as well as some commodity deals. i've applied to a masters program in international relations at UCSD, hopefully i'll get in in the fall. i'd like to shoot for a phd after that, and possibly an MBA. yes, i hope to still be in school at age 40.

We did this a while back.
I work for a non-profit, government funded counseling agency. I am a case manager for severely emotionally disturbed adolescents in a middle school... but my favorite work with this agency was when I provided behavior modification in the homes of our most needy clients, and took them out into the community to develop social/coping/life skills.
After completing my psych degree, I am looking into PhD programs in ethology (animal behavior,) particularly at UC Davis. I plan on studying cognition/intelligence in animals in order to provide them with more humane treatment. Think Drs. Irene Pepperberg (with the late Alex,) Penny Patterson (with Koko and the late Michael,) Jane Goodall and the late Dr. Dian Fossey.

I'm a commerce student. Currently in 2nd year of my 3 year Bachelor's degree. Going to major in accounting, finance and thinking maybe economics also. Will stay on for an extra 18 to 24 months to complete a Masters of Commerce or Masters of Business when I am done with my Bachelors. Going to focus on either commercial law or economics for my masters, maybe even pick up some subjects in eBusiness or management.
EDIT: w00t first post =P

I am an IT Service Management consultant (ITIL) where I manage the service provided to large corporates by IT suppliers. Outsourcing has meant that everyone wants to ensure that these companies deliver what they are supposed to. Hence you act as a middle man of sorts.
ps. I would rather be a wrestler. That's SO cool!

Wow! Nice to see the diversity in occupation. Regardless of whatever one is doing, the most important thing is that one enjoys the process. Alright...just a bit more information on my research focus. My PhD is mostly focused on investigating error processing in the human cognitive system via EEG/ERPs (e.g., measuring the electrical activity in the brain in response to a stimulus or motor activity). For example, I am interested in finding out what particular brain activity (e.g., error-related negativity; error positivity) is observed what someone commits an error (e.g., pressing a wrong button). I am also interested in the electrophysiological processes that take place after an error has committed (e.g., whether corrective activity is observed after error commission). Simply put, my research is on measuring brain activity when an error in the motor domain has been committed. Has anyone fallen asleep yet...? In your various occupations, please share some of the interesting things that you face...

Academic skills mean nothing when your in the ring one-on-one with Aphrodite! Heehee...are you a professional wrestler in the sporting sense or in the entertainment (e.g., WWE) sense. What is your trademark move? I know I use to perform the sharp-shooter on my younger brother when we were kids...

Im a human bio major with a minor in both chemistry in pyschology. My main interest is orthopedics, and i plan on applying to both med school and pa school (physician assistant) upon graduating. I was set on med school my whole life but pa school is becoming increasingly attractive to me so i cant rule it out yet.
I also work at a hospital in radiology. (MRI, CT, x-ray, ect.) I do patient histories, help with the scans, nothing too exciting but its good experience.

In the entertainment sense; I do shows up and down the UK for various different promotions. I usually work inter-gender, and I am probably the only UK female to consistently do so.
My finisher is a front flip from the top rope into a stunner, which I call the Divine Retribution (aka Diamond Dust, but I changed it to suit my gimmick).
There is nothing I would rather do than this.

I work in software development.
We design anti-plagarism software and dining/academic suite software for Higher Education.
I don't have to dress up, and come to work in flipflops and shorts every day. It's awesome.

Too bad I can't spell it right I typed that up right before falling asleep, and was wondering how it turned out...
I've heard really good things about Davis, including their postdoctoral program.

I'm probably going to get my masters in medical physics because it pays enough where I can do whatever I want.
Going to get a PhD in something more interesting, like quantum or nuclear physics.
I kind of want to sing for a metal band again though too, so how that fits in I have no idea.
Right now I work as a mindless minion on a psychiatric ward for chronically psychotic adults. This job rocks.

I'm a writer and artist, so I'm usually happy when I'm creating something. I can't make a living on this yet so my day job is working in IT for the fabulous French company that owns Motel 6.

Systems Engineer for a DoD contractor. Can't really go into specifics, you know that whole non-disclosure thing. Anyways, I am thinking about following my passion and am looking into SLU's MS in Geophysics.

I work construction and deal with the Senior Superintendent and Safety Engineers to process all safety audits, safety walks, and safety safety. I make sure no one gets hurt and help with little things (tours of the job site, maintainence on the vehicles, etc).
I am also two years away from acquiring two degree's from UTA (University of Texas in Arlington). A bachelor's in Biochemistry and a masters in Biomedical Engineering. B.S. and M.S. respectively. Afterwards I plan on going to UTMB (University of Texas Medical Branch) in Galveston and getting an M.D./Ph.D. and then start teaching to all these youngunz.
I also speak three languages (not counting english) and plan on learning a couple more. Maybe a minor in Political Science or Philosophy.

I work at Popeye's chicken. I've been working the register there for about 5 years now. I'm hoping to build enough experience to switch to an even bigger company like Burger King...or maybe...just maybe...McDonald's! Either way I enjoy my work..it puts a smile on people's faces.
