Gotta love the GNC Sales
Stuff is expiring April 08, so the new manager slashed prices.
I picked up 12 ABB Ripped Force Drinks, a case and a half of Xyience Xenergy (I've hated Xyience supplements, but these energy drinks are good), and 13 cases of protein bars for less than $50.
He was selling boxes of the big Detours and boxes of Nitro Tech Bars for $4 a piece. They are still good, go out in April like I said, but if they don't move them it's a total loss. I'm broke as can be so I'm staying outta there (the store was packed with discounted bars up front) till I get paid Friday. I mean, $4 boxes of Detour bars, I'ma buy all that is left.
GNC was also selling the 5 lb on jugs for $39 and the 2 pounders for $19.99. I'm not a fan of them either...but if you check them out every now and then, as has been stated on here before, you can sometimes find some really good clearance deals.

haha... once, i stopped into this local corner store in the hood to get some milk (it was funny, they only had 2% and whole), and i saw a box of myoplex deluxes that were going for 50 cents each. i asked the guy how many more he had, he said that was it, so i bought the rest of them. i seriously think they "fell off the truck" somewhere along the line.

whats even better, when i worked there and people would try a scoop of protein then return it, i had to "throw it away". Needless to say i have about 400 dollars worth of **** at my house that i got for free. Anything opened i could take, or some things that i wanted that werent opened i would just say they were and get those too...

Yeah...it's eating me up because they still have boxes and boxes of bars...but I guess how many can you eat. Still have some ABB Speed Shots in there for like 85 cents.
I'm serious man... I bet there are 20 or 30 boxes of Nitro Tech bars and Detour Bars in there for $4 right now. Like I said, I've got 13 boxes, but next Friday if they still have stuff left (this is a small town so they just might) I'm probably going to buy five or six more boxes. I mean, you gotta right?

Wow, so do they actually let you keep the products ppl return if you say youd like to keep it? or do you have to pretend to throw it away and just basically put it in your trunk? i have an interview there tomorrow

I've got a buddy that returns his products half-way through finishing it. It makes sense and im not really sure why GNC has the "refund policy"

I have to admit, even when the prices are higher most of the time, GNC has very good sales. I got 5lbs of ON Whey at 35 dlls with Gold Card last month.

Yeah that doesn't make sense, its not like you can return half eaten stuff at the supermarket. Don't you have to have a reason for returning it? Wouldn't they catch on if you returned everything you bought?

Back to GNC today...two boxes of Detour Oatmeal Bars... regularly marked $37 in there...went out end of Feb. and the manager was supposed to have them off the shelf. Told me if I didn't sue him he'd cut me a deal. Walked out with 24 Detour Oatmeal Bars for $2.14.
Still a lot left, and I'm not HUGE on protein bars, but I figured I may as well buy them at that price and eat the damn things till I'm sick. Right now, I have 17 boxes of bars at my house. Several boxes of Nitrotech, several boxes of Detours, several boxes of Xyience breakfast bars, a couple boxes of metrx and the oatmeal deals.

It depends on the manager. You're not allowed to keep anything people return and all the returns have to be accounted for by a regional manager or supervisor every so often. But some managers dont care and let you take whatever.
And to the guy with the return policy comment...
Not enough people abuse the return policy to make it unreasonable to have, but I've already had someone drink an entire cleanse drink and bring it back saying they didn't like the taste...lol. But if you bring stuff back too many times they can refuse your return.

Nice grab. I dig their products that close to expire date. They mark them very low.

eh screw GNC,the Vitamin shoppe sale was much better. Whey tech 24 protein (isolate and concentrate) 5lbs for 17 bucks!!!! Had to buy 20 pounds, half choco mint and half banana. So 73 bucks total delivered for 20 pounds of whey.
The sale is over, it was this last friday until Sunday.

I hate how people come on here and put down other people and try to belittle other people. Get a life.
Fact is, protein bars are not the absolute best source. But, they are not a bad source either. I'm not spending $30 on a box, but I will buy a bunch of boxes at $3 or $4, stock up, and use them to snack on...etc.
Thanks for adding nothing to this thread with your comment.

The protein source can be sub-par it depends on the brand. Most of them use soy, collagen and other low grade types of protein sources. I have seen very few bars of actual quality.
So the description of a snickers bar with some protein is accurate, the sad issue is it's a crappy protein as well.

Gnc
The workers at sell the supplements ate 1.75 times as much as they get them for. That means that the supplements only cost them 75% less than what they sell the supplements store. They make a huge profit off of these supplements. So what you bought the products for, they were still making commission, but I congratulate you on the deal!!
