A skinny guy needs your help!
As some of you may know if you?ve been following me for any amount of time, I?ve been working on getting and maintaining my motivation. I have all the things I need to be a sucessful bodybuilder (food, supps, gym, workout plan), but I?ve just can?t seem to maintain motivation from week to week.
I?ve tried many different approaches. I took pictures to see my development, kept my measurements, have inspiring pictures, and have a great mental picture of what I want to look like. Despite all of these things, I just can?t stay with it for more than a couple of weeks.
So my question to all of you is, WHAT THE HELL AM I MISSING! I?m open to any and all suggestions and advice that you all have.

i think the bottom line is you have to want to do it.
for me, its as easy as getting into a routine. it was tough to get into the routine of going to the gym but after about 2 weeks, i couldnt stop going. whenever i miss a day i get depressed. well not depressed but i feel ****ty. i feel like a deflated balloon.
try setting a routine for yourself and try to stick to it. schedule a months plan for going to the gym IE what time, what day, what youll be working out on said day...and just try to stick to it.
i had the same problem starting out. i would take pictures of myself and look at them, come here and look at peoples' success stories...but none of it worked until i got myself into a routine. give it a go.
btw im a skinny guy too..6'5" 189. thing is, its tougher for me to gain weight. your shorter and should see results quicker which should give you even more motivation once you get going.

The biggest thing in my opinion is that you have to keep it enjoyable to yourself. If you make it seem like work it's gonna be hard to stay with it. It just has to be something you love doing with that being said it's just not for everyone because there is quite a bit of a time commitment depending on how serious and how far you want to go. If you don't have a training partner now maybe get one that's always great motivation for most people. Anyway stick with it bro.

yeah like getfit said, a partner helps out a bunch. i started going with my buddy who has been going to the gym for a long time. on days i was too tired or just didnt want to go, i felt like i had to because a) i didnt want to let him down and not be there to help him out if he needed a spot and b) i didnt wanna seem like a pussy.

Only way I can stay on track is:
(1) Have to have a workout partner.
(2) Make your workout like it's an appointment you can't miss. Harder to make excuses.
