hello!
last week we worked out sun, mon, wed, and thur so we could have a belated date night for valentine's on friday
we went to the dallas stars hockey game and a bar after that, it was a good time and lots of calories
saturday, we had dinner plans with some friends we hadn't seen in a while so that ended up being extra calories and fun stuff
sunday i decided i'd get back on track and i did well, however i pulled my back out while working in the yard (WAAAAAAAA i was so mad i had to stop working but it still hurts today) ty got all the roses pruned though yippee!
so... that means we didn't work out last night and i'm not sure about tonight
with my bday weekend coming up and our diet having been so good this long, we're having a hard time wanting to stick to the routine the next couple weeks, but we'll just see! i still don't want to be fat or ruin all my hard work
hope y'all are doing GREAT!

Cari went and hurt her back and I lost a spotter. Ok, losing the spotter is just an excuse for me. We're taking the week off. We've both been on this cal deficit for suuuuuch a long time, time for a 1 week metabolism adjustment/break. Back on next week. This week seemed to make the most since for our break rather than waiting until next week. I'm aching, pouting about never getting to eat the bad for me stuff, and I have work functions scheduled this week that will prevent me from working out and make eating good very difficult. Plus, this weekend we're going down to Gruene, TX (where we got married) for her birthday. I'll probably do a couple of full body workouts this week if I can find time, though.
BTW - The good news (maybe) - I've started a conversation with Layne about acquiring his services for Cari and I. Going for the couples discount . Not sure it will work out, but definitely exploring it!

I hope you heal quickly, Cari. Yardio can be dangerious sometimes
That is one thing (KNOCK ON WOOD!) that I have never injured. My knees give me enough pain, I think, for the rest of my body!
Congrats on enlisting Layne Norton's help. I really enjoy reading his articles here on bb.com

one of y'all prayed for me, or maybe it's the magic of journaling but my back is 90% better today! i can't believe it, i feel it still - but i'm able to reach the radio knob in the car without having to use a magazine or something to reach out and change it, i was able to lift my legs and put lotion on and i just am so happy it's already this much better - i did not want to be hurting for the 4hr drive this weekend and on my birthday! so i'll try not to take it for granted and still be easy on it and see what happens
the only thing i did different last night was sit with a heat pack on my back for a bit and then go to sleep with it under me with 2 tylenol (i'd been taking 2 ibuprofen once a day) so i don't know what did it but i'm relieved
thx for thinking of me!

Keep us updated.
BTW, dishing out a couple of g's for advice will get ur lazy a$$ into the gym.

Haven't done it yet, timing the funding is kind of important right now for us, but most likely will soon.

My range of movement without pain has greatly improved, so I'm happy! For instance, I could lean over a little to put my hair in the towel and I got in and out of the Durango this morning pretty normal and stood up straight after the drive. You know little things like that! LOL
Back pain always freaks me out, and this I know was just a muscle issue, but still the pain is the kind that freezes me with fear (from living wholly). So that's what I mean by being happy now, I'm not afraid anymore so it's a relief. (well i'll be extra careful geting a shoe from the floor of my closet well into next week, but you know what i mean )
To heck with paying for training, I need to pay for people to do my yard! !%^&#$ hedges, i work out for goodness sake! HAHAHAHAHA (must have been dehydrated)
Here's where we got married (in the beer garden outside) and where we're going this weekend - the oldest still running dance hall in Texas - http://www.gruenehall.com and tiny bit of info on this new website for where we're going. it's an historic district in New Braunfels called Gruene ('green') (there were lots of german settlers in central TX) - http://www.gruenetexas.com with the best B&B ever. it's south of Austin but north of San Antonio. I could talk about it for a long time, but I'll shut up and say it'll be a good birthday (3/3)! And perfect place to drink beer for Texas Independence Day (3/2). yeehaw! (lol)
Have a great weekend!
