I'm losing fat & not gaining weight back, which is good. My legs and tush are still squishy ... not so good! But they're leaner. They won't be firm 'till the weight is gone and the skin has time to tighten up some.
But the cardio does help with fat loss. It's doubly effective with heavy lifting - you can't have one without the other and have good results

I think you can handle 10-20 mins pwo. It's tough but it releases lactic acid. Have fun tonight!

Those are my favorite Penney! I bought a box last year and wrote on a post-it how many miles I'd have to run/walk IF I overindulged. That little trick made me think twice!

Tiff, I did do 23 minutes of very light steady-state cardio after my wo tonight. It was refreshing!

I bought 3 boxes from a friend at work. Oh, they're so good, especially when really fresh! I ate most of a half (you know, 1 of the 2 bags in the box) and shevled the remaining 2.5 boxes. My daughter's getting one box, Rick the other! I may eat the remaining bag in the first box, but I am gonna try to make it last!

I like to make that sort of thing into a game. Can I eat just one each day? I try to put it at a time I would really look forward to it, like on the way home from work. (Also good because I'd only have 1 with me in the car!)

Solid leg workout with cardio afterward! I could never do that!

If I lived 2.5 hrs from the Arnold, I'd be going every year!
Maybe not after I met all those bb.com people , but I'd find a way.
Awesome training session today Penney.

I didn't even know about the Arnold 'till this year I knew about the Olympia, though.
I live with someone who is not in the least interested in bodybuilding, and he freaks out if I go off for more than a day, without him. LOL! Going to the Arnold is something that I must plan for way ahead, because I'd definitely go by myself.

Friend in a bad car accident
I found out about 20 minutes ago that a girl who used to work with me has been in a serious auto accident yesterday. She was aircared out to University hospital in Cincinnati. I heard through the grapevine that they performed a cat scan on her which showed no brain activity
When she worked here she was extremely smart and got promoted a few times before she decided to leave to become a stay at home mom. Last time I saw here was last year at an employee baby shower. She was planning on getting back on here, or a similar company (she was a graphic designer/digital supervisor)
Please pray for her. She has a husband and 3 young children. You just never know what life throws at you Rick and I are so lucky that we were not serously hurt last year when we were hit by that semi tire.

Thank you all's for your prayers. I am still in shock.
Ed, the roads are for the most part not slippery. It did snow a little yesterday. It always pays to be careful.

Sorry about your friend Penny. I'm not religious as you know so I don't believe in prayer but I will definitely send healing thoughts your friend's way and strength to her family.

Thanks you guys! Healing thoughts work very well too
She's in a coma, but breathing on her own (even though she's on a respirator) and when the doctors pinched her, her body reacted, which is good.
This is from a conversation some one else in the office had w/her husband.

I hope your friend is ok, Penney. With 3 young kids this is truly a terrible accident.
