I feel as if I've hit a plateau...
so, here's the scoop. i've been serious about lifting for just over two years now, and for the past 3 1/2 to 4 months, my gains have been absolutely stagnant. i eat good, often, and big, i've made changes in my routine, and started taking creatine, yet my lifts have remained the same for a while now. this is the longest i've gone without making progress.
so, i've decided i'd like to try a cycle of something. not a pro-hormone or steroid, just something mild to get me over this plateau. i've never tried anything more than creatine, so i'm open to suggestions. i've seen people talk about 11-oxo as a good muscle builder, and also as something that helps you lean out. i'd like to drop a little bodyfat as well, but it's so hard for me to add muscle in the first place, that i don't want to risk losing any through calorie-deficit dieting. what about something like novedex or 6-oxo as a standalone? any suggestions?

how would you run that, simply follow the directions on the bottle for both? run them together, or one then the other?

what category of supps does hyperdrol fit into? i was just looking at it on BB.com's store, and i can't seem to figure it out? looks interesting though, claims to increase the burning of fat. with the hyperdrol, mass fx, and retain stack, what would the timeline of the cycle look like?

well it depends im about to start a 12 week cycle a little expensive but have heard its very promising a lot of ppl do a 8 week cycle though....with the 12 week cycle you take a break from the mass fx on weeks 6 and 7 and then start it back up on week 8 i believe there is a chart on the anabolic xtreme website you could check out if you want

since i only weigh 155, do you think i could get away with only 3 caps a day of each Mass FX and Hyperdrol? that way, i could do a nearly 6-week cycle with just a bottle of each...

i think its more or less up to you, you could get away with 3 a day prob but you might feel it more and see some better results with 4 a day, i would shoot for 8 weeks but if money is an issue roll with it and see how you like it you can always order another bottle of them later if you get a little extra cash if an ax rep can chime in they could prob answer a little better then i but that would be my opinoin

I mean besides the supps you could just change the way train to try to get over your plateau. Try lifting heavier at a lower rep amount try new workouts to confuse the muscles.

i've really tried that... i switched up my rep range, the exercises i do, the order in which i do my split. i've tried pre-exhausting, hitting some muscle groups twice in a week, etc. i think the mental aspect of being on a supplement could help me to break this plateau, ya know?

I've taken about two weeks off from lifting during the year..that has helped me with my gains..maybe you just need a break

I don't know if you've ever heard anything like this, but I've read a few articles on overtraining a certain muscle group (Usually Legs or Upper Body; I found one of the articles in a Men's Fitness Mag from a couple years ago). If your legs or arms are significantly stronger than the rest of your body, your body might be trying to tell you to spread things out. I know a few people who have plateaued because of over training their arms and ignoring leg excercises. One, my roommate, recently switched his routine up to my suggestion and now his legs, chest, arms, and back are all pretty even in his 1 rep max, but it has taken him the better part of 6 months. Just a bit of muscle philosophy.
Supplements? Maybe try x-factor with a quality creatine mono product. I'd also suggest researching on when you need carbs/protein based on your body type and when you train. Just a few suggestions.

that makes sense, but i think my body is pretty proportionate, upper to lower. there's no muscle group i really neglect. maybe rear delts... maybe my whole body is trying to tell me to just chill and do some reverse peck decks and bent over lateral raises?
