Isn't it awful that people have to judge and just can't be happy for others. My parents do not support my healthy habits. I think that is a shame that parents can not support thier own children when it comes to being healthy. My kids do support me a lot.
Hang in there and do what makes you happy. You can not live for others you have to do what is right for you.
Be healthy and keep going strong!

My mother was initially supportive( somewhat) of my bodybuilding lifestyle, but in the last year has made several disparaging remarks such as " You are getting too big and fat" ( which was obviously not true. I was putting on large amounts of muscle and thus looking much broader in clothes). I just let it flow off my shoulders now because I am doing this for me and not anyone else.

what i just love the most is people not getting that we eat every few hours, as most are only used to breakfast, lunch and dinner...see for us, when we eat, it's just another "meal".....for example i'll be preparing one of my meals in the kitchen at work and i'll get the "oh so you're having an early lunch," or "late breakfast", and i'll tell them, nope, i'm just having a meal....and they just look at me with this clueless look, like i've got two heads or something....haha...anyway it's super annoying too when people are constantly scrutinizing what i eat...i couldn't care less what others want to eat, why are they so concerned with what i eat?
there i've vented too!..lol

I am not actually trying to single you out....but I noticed that several people have also voiced this sentiment.
Maybe I am just a "bad person"..lol...but as people who eat well and take good care of ourselves do you all seriously NEVER judge what someone else is eating? I do it all the time. When I go out for dinner with my MIL (who is overweight btw) and she comments that I shouldn't worry about what I eat because I am thin but then orders herself a giant cheeseburger and fries with gravy I think "GROSS...you of all people should NOT be eating that".
I actually like when people comment on my food because it gives me the opportunity to educate someone...and to talk...which I always enjoy

No, i genuinely do not care/judge what others eat....everyone is responsible for what they put in their own bodies, as I mine. Of course if someone is genuinely interested/curious in what i eat, i have no problem discussing it with them.

Similar story. I eat in my cubicle at 8:30, 10:30 and noon. 3PM is a fish meal. My next door cube mate has outlawed the fish due to the smell, so I microwave and eat this in the lunch room. The people in my department know my routine, but others in the building when they see me sitting there chowing down will say "late lunch, huh?". Sometimes I let it slide and nod, but when I'm feeling frisky and say, " No, its meal number 5", I get that same clueless, jaw dropping to the floor, "what the heck is he talking about" look.

my advice is to stick with it and try to not let it affect you. Also over time some people (at least the people who really care) will except your lifestyle. what I find frustrating though, is when I talk weight loss with friends and family and they think the newest weight loss craze is the way to go instead of hard work and eatting right and they completely blow off my advice but continue to complain to me about not losing weight. when I first started working out and eatting right my husband tempted me daily with bad food and sometimes begged me not to workout. but two years later, he eats what I eat and has joined the gym with me. seeing my good results has made him want to change. it also helps that I'm the one who cooks dinner, so he eats what I cook. =]
