Tribute To Trevor Smith
P.S This was written on after a year of Trevors death , but I he still is on my mind and said it would be nice to share it , cause his Memory still remains.
Trevor Memory Remains
It's been a year since the unfortunate death of Trevor Smith. And it still echoes through our minds .It seems no matter how strong and big you are, you can't defeat this life.
Life holds lots of surprises. Ups and downs .you can never be ready for them all .you can do your best, but your best is never enough.
We all are small weak parts of this huge universe system. Some lives their lives without knowing what it means. Other develop spiritually and know where they stand. And those in the end will be rewarded since spirit lasts while other things don't.
That's why I believe that Trevor is in a better place right now. Wherever he is.
Trevor memory remains clean with no black points in it .He was respectful to all whom deserve respect .he cared about those forgotten people .he helped many homeless people not only by material things but also sitting with them, listening to what they have to say, treating them as humans, showing them that someone cares.
Now that's true my friend ...one man can change the world
All of his actions reflect how pure his heart was. Like helping that cancerous girl with his nutritions, helping his aunts with everything he could, helping many in the sport community to achieve their goals .he was really a gentle giant. And one of the most intellectual people in the bodybuilding industry.
His theories were really helpful, so were his nutritions supplements .his B.F.T method is one of the best training techniques ever.
Trevor was my friend, my coach and my example .he agreed to help me with bodybuilding ..free of charges even though he is really a busy man.
If only we had more people like him ...the world wouldve been a better place.
His size, heart, kindness, mind .....all of his traits make him an ideal example for many of us and he is worth it.
Not only did we lose the biggest guy on earth, we also lost a great guy with unique personality, mentality and heart.
He wasn't a one of a million man, he was one of a kind.
All my respect goes to him and all my condolence to his family
Rest in peace big guy we all miss you ....... Shady Eid
What others have to say on such a great loss:
Well Trevor was one of the biggest nicest guys I ever met. I mean I had a lot of respect for the guy and enjoyed talking with him whenever we met up. He was a real genuine guy who will sorely missed.......
Ronnie Coleman ( IFBB PRO )
I am deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Trevor Smith. He was truly a gentle giant within our sport - and for the short period of time that I knew him, he was a good friend to me and one of the very few people I thought was "genuine" within the sport. Most people didn't know the kind and gentle side of Trevor - they just saw an intimidating, 400 pound giant walking around - but he was truly the kind of human being that most people could only dream of becoming one day.
Chad Nicholls(World's Most Renowned Nutritionist/Bodybuilding Coach)
Trevor was always very respectful and friendly.
I saw him in numerous shows throughout the years - and he always had
something nice to say.
We exchanged a lot of information and I respected him for his eagerness
to learn as much as possible about every aspect of bodybuilding.
He was open minded and had a courage to be different.
He would be missed..................Milos Sarcev ( IFBB PRO )
Trevor was a good man .an often quiet man, especially in the gym .he would enjoy himself and come out of his shell at dinner functions and the like.
This highly intelligent man's time in the gym was very sacred to him .He trained heavy and hard. What makes me smile about Trevor is that his focus and time in the gym was so precious to him that no matter how well he knew you, if he was training .and you managed to get a grunt out of him after saying hello .you could consider that a hearty heartfelt greeting. that's was just Trevor .
His training face was very intense internal and extreme.
Out of the gym he had a big heart and will be sorely missed by those who knew him ................Aaron Baker ( IFBB PRO )
I never new Trevor on a personal level but he would always speak to me and my wife when he would see us at the shows. My heart goes out to his family and close friends. He truly was a gentle soul that will be missed greatly. ...............Garrett Downing( IFBB PRO )
I have met Trevor a few times once at the Arnold and a few in Vegas. Trevor was a great man with great strength. But most of all he was an intelligent man with a big heart. My manager Marc Salvato had introduced us about five years ago at the Arnold Classic. We will miss him.................
Eddie Robinson ( IFBB PRO )
Trevor was a great friend and a great individual.
Trevor did two of my interviews and asked why I do not want to compete.
Trevor said he look up to be as the best genetically gifted Bodybuilder ever live and shared his plan with me to step on stage at 350lbs.
I pleaded with Trevor that competing does not worth the health risk and the financial return.
I was going to give this interview to getbig.com but he changed his mind because he is part of the establishment.
Im still mourning about Trevor.
We lost a great athlete and intelligent individual..................
Vic Richards( IFBB PRO )
Truth is, I still can not talk about Trevor because I am still in mourn and completely devastated. I think about Trevor and Nancy every day, which brings both smiles and tears (the sad ones). I can still hear his rough voice talking to me about life... I remember everything.
The smiths are family to me, and they will always remain that way.
I am doing exactly what Trevor told me to do: make my dreams and passions come true.
I can only thank what he and Nancy have given me... and for that, I have never disrespected the people who guided me to happiness... never.................Jen Cook ( IFBB PRO )

Personally, like Rev. Wright, I don't think Jones is all that radical. They are certainly colorful in their speech, but that doesn't make them wrong. The Jones affair was more partisan hackery IMO.

I said this in my rep to the. OP, but Trevor was a great man-not just in size or strength, but in spirit. I only knew him on his website, but he was one of the most supportive, honest, intellectually sound, and nicest people you'd ever want to meet. I don't totally want to lose the younger guys here, but my sons favorite teacher (and he hates school had doesn't like most teachers) just died this week after an operation that had been successful. The connection here? Another nice man, a great spirit who reached others&even the 'unreachable' I just don't take losing these klind of people well.

I still can't believe it.
I received a copy of NUCLEAR NUTRITION'S GEAR-UZR mag back in 2001 when I was filling my bag of free supplements at the Arnold Classic. I read each and every page several times. I used to log on to their forums and read about bodybuilding and training. I asked questions, and Trevor would answer me himself numerous times. I thought his approach to bodybuilding, training, and life in general was the most real and inspiring. Trevor practiced what he preached, and led by example. I never had a chance to try any of his products, but I really wanted to support him because he inspired and supported me with his advice and knowledge.
When I heard of his death, I was stunned. I searched the internet desperately for any info, or explanation of his untimely passing. I know almost nothing more than I did before. I can't believe a guy like that left this world and the industry and culture he lived in, and loved barely gave him a blip on the radar when he died. Thank you for starting this thread.
I WILL (and do) MISS TREVOR SMITH!!!!

Some of his theories were pretty out there, anyone that remebers a specific dieting drug stack article will know exactly what I am talking about, but his site was really thought stimulating and I miss it alot. Thank You Trevor, I wont forget.

Trevor's memory still remains and he contines to influence those of us who read his writings and have taken his words to heart. A remarkable man who left this world far too early. He is deeply missed but will never be forgotten.
