Puro's SciVation Xtend review ALL FLAVORS (Orange included)
SciVation Xtend
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/sv/xtend.html
First time I started Xtend was back in 07/2007. I noticed my recovery rate increased greatly from work-out to workout from the first time I used the product and was hooked ever since.
---
Here's my review:
Grape:
Taste: 7/10
I did not find out that grape has two different versions until later. Whichever one it was, the strength of the flavor was not very strong, but tasted great nonetheless.
Mixability: 8/10
I was quite happy with how quickly it mixes with water. Took about 4 bottle flips to completely dissolve everything.
Overall: 8/10
I was very happy with the product, hence the subsequent reviews.
---
Lemonade:
Taste: 10/10
I've always been fan of lemonade and Xtend is no exception. I just can't get enough of it.
Mixability: 9/10
I noticed this batch mixed better than grape. ~3 flips or so.
Overall: 9.5/10
Will buy again.
---
Apple:
Taste: 9/10
I was going to give this 10/10 had there not been lemonade flavor.
Mixability: 10/10
Holy $*** was my initial reaction when I mix it with water. The dissolving power was just crazy; a big plus for sure. ~1 flip to dissolve everything.
Overall: 9.5/10
I purchased this the first week it became available, and it lived up to its hype. Good stuff.
---
Watermelon:
Taste: 8/10
Great flavor, but I was not really 'turned-on' by it. (probably due to high expectation from all the reviews on here).
Mixability: 6/10
The batch I had can't mix worth crap. Just unlucky I guess.
Overall: 8/10
Will probably buy again.
---
Orange:
Taste: 8/10
I RARELY drink kool-aid or sport-flavored drinks, so I can't really use those to compare. But I will say that I'm pleased with this flavor. It has a hint of tangness to it, and I think it will grow on me in the long run.
Mixability: 9/10
I'm very happy with how fast it mixes. It's almost the same as lemonade if not better.
Overall: 9/10
Two thumbs up!
---
My Ranking:
1. Lemonade
2. Apple
3. Orange
4. Grape + Watermelon
---
Final thoughts:
Despite the ratings of each product, remember that it all comes down to personal preferences, especially for taste.
But if you're looking for an awesome and affordable BCAA/recovery-related product, I would highly recommend Xtend. It did wonders for me!

Good reply brotha. I just recently picked up a bottle of the Orange and man is it amazing. Taste really is subjective, cause I absolutely love the Watermelon and Orange.. the Watermelon taste like a Jolly Rancher and the Orange taste like Tang. Stuff's amazing.

I agree with you on the Xtend. Some of the flavors are so good they can easily be mistaken for a sugared drink. Plus the benefit of faster recovery in between workouts is one that everybody can agree with.

I've heard this is mainly a recovery supplement, but are there any pumps or anything associated because i read that it's a pre and postworkout supplement

it really mixes that easy? i've found that with most BCAA products, you have to give it 30-60 minutes to fully dissolve, and for the white froth to go away. this is not so with xtend?
