New Grip
I ordered my second pair today (lost first set) and had a chance to speak to Alan (Owner/Product Designer) and we spoke about about deadlifting with New Grips. He asked me if I'd write a lil comment for his website on Deadlifting with New Grips vs. Straps.
Here's My Comment
"Considering my favorite excerise is the deadlift, I was very excited to try the New Grips and see if I could make an increase on my 1RM. My 1RM was 295 with traditional gloves, it was 2 days later I attempted my New Grip 1RM in which I pulled a 315. New Grips are superior compared to Straps in my opinion because they do not put as much stress on the wrists as the straps do. I love my New Grips....Thanks to everyone at BodyBuilding.com for all the recommendations."

Thanks for the review and link providing deadlift tips. I've had new grips for a while now and it's a great product.

I have a pair of NewGrips and am very impressed with the design and workmanship. That said, I have stopped using them in favor of going commando with just chalk. I'm trying to simplify my whole routine (15 exercises every other day down to Rippetoe's program), and using bare hands with chalk seems to fit that whole scheme.
Honestly, too, I am simply not yet capable of lifting enough weight to justify gloves or NewGrips. I may find them more useful when I can lift more.

Bump.
I love mine too.
IMHO, You don't have to lift a ton of weight to appreciate them.

I have had my New Grips for years now. I just wash the straps every-now-and-then and other than a small tear, they are still holding up well.
