has any one tried this split?
i looked around and can't find anyone posting a split like this
width - chins, flys, side laterals, biceps
legs- the norm
thickness- bench, bent rows, tris, shoulder presses
obviously not a full list of excercises but im sure you get the idea
im 5'7" and an "empty" 170 usualy around 175 been working out semi serious for 3 years using a 3 day push, legs, pull split and went for 135-140 to 170-175. i just finished doin a strength phase and now want to switch it up to give my joints a rest. so my Q is has anyone tried this or something like it, if so how did you like it? im not looking for alternate routines or any major changes just past experience and maybe some minor changes based on experience with this split, not broscience, haha.
thanks alot for any insight

dude,
I have never seen a split like this based off of those 3 things. How many sets do you do in a day? How long are you in the gym? And have you been on this split for how long...?

Instead of changing up your entire routine. Possibly, try instead changing the intensity by lifting lower weights at higher reps for a couple weeks. It will take the heavy load off your joints and allow them to recover but you will still get a great pump by hitting your muscles at a different angle and you will probably see some improvements as well. Give it a shot for about 3 weeks and see what that does for you.

i try and keep the big body parts to 16 working sets, and small to 8 but on this split i would work big for 8-10 and small 6, but everything would be hit tice as often just not directly in some cases.
i have tried going lighter before and i really dont have any fun in my workout if i use a weight i can possibly get mor then 12 with, i do throw in rest pauses up to 50 reps sometimes, but it takes me 6-7 rests to get their.
i have only gone through this split once so i really cant say much about its effectiveness but it feels good, and i can lift heavier so its actually alot of fun, but i just have to get used to doin less sets
thanks for the help^^^^^^^

well you certainly have the right idea man, it's really all about what works for you. As long as your in there pushing yourself and making it burn then your doing the right thing in my mind. Don't get yourself too concerned with all the technical jargon, it will only take away from your focus and drive. Keep up the good work.

thanks for the encouragement^^^^
i agree with you that intensity is the most important part of every workout. i keep a preety good workout log so i can guess the weights i need to fail on the reps i want preety closely but i def go for more if i guess wrong.
started back through my split agiain last night, my workout was
weighted dips ss with skulls for 3 sets each
BB bent rows for 4 sets
inc CG bench press for 3
T bar rows for 5
inc DB press for 5
Haney's (BTB row) for 4
DB shrugs for 3
that was it after warm ups, about 90 min total.
hope that helps my clear up my bad description from above.
