Feb 11
Workout - Heavy upper 4x6-8
Order performed, highest weight
BB Bench: 75lbs
BB Rows: 85lbs
Military Press: 55lbs
Chin Ups: bw - assisted
Tricep Dips: bw - feet elevated
BB Bi Curls: 25lb ez bar
Diet
Breakfast: english muffin, pb, whey, milk
Snack: yogurt, soybeans
Lunch: chicken & pasta, soybeans
Preworkout: oats, whey, popcorn chicken
Postworkout: whey, banana
Dinner: chicken, brown rice, corn
Notes
I pushed myself by using the same weights as last week, but instead of doing 6 reps, I pushed out 8. I failed at the military press at 8 reps, so I had to lower my weight, but everything else seemed good. Next week I'll see if I can increase my weight, but go back down to 6 reps.
The only thing out of diet today was the popcorn chicken, but it wasn't much.

Actually, I think I'm stressing out about the present and future to much and that's what's causing this underlying stress that is affecting my entire life, including my workouts.
I'm sorry I haven't visited anyone today

this popcorn chicken was at the ready made section in the grocery store. Not as good as KFC.

Thanks Mary...I didn't really feel the pump after my workout though, but maybe I'm different....
Well, tonight I have to rush home and get my workout in. Then I'm off to a friends house for a presentation for a company that we are both trying to become directors for and make some side cash. Tonight is leg night. I think I've decided to change my leg days and not do heavy leg days but do 4 sets of 10 instead. I know that may slow down my muscle building but right now my legs are getting too big too fast because the fat isn't coming off at the same rate.
oh, and I'm so bloated right now. Had a huge chicken caesar salad for lunch, then a capachino (ok, how do you spell that? ), and a diet coke

checked out the videos, your form looks really good. You may want to try widening your stance maybe 1-2" on each side and getting a tad bit forward lean, but it's pretty good to be honest

wider stances tend to hurt my hip more, but I'm slowly working on that. I'll keep trying thanks for the feedback

That sounds like an interesting project. What kind of company is it?
Sorry to hear you're bloated Hope it goes away soon!
Good luck with the squats tonight. We'll both just have to keep telling ourselves that as long as we keep doing them, we'll eventually get them right and feel like we're doing them right.

yeah i also find that wider stances are a little more harsh on the hips. In my case it's mostly a matter of flexibility. I just don't like to be too narrow and have a nice stance, sort of inbetween a very narrow stance and much narrower than a powerlifting stance.

Well, I caused the bloating myself, so I can't really complain.
It's a company that sells environmentally safe products, wellness products, cleaning products, a whole variety of stuff, and if I get people to sign up, I make money Want me to send you the link?
Tonight I just might do front squats, but throw in a set of back squats so that I can practice, but not depend on them for this workout and get frustrated.

Workout - Moderate Lower 4x8-10
Order performed, highest weight
Front Squats: 45lbs
Back Squats: just working on form, 2 sets
RDL's: 95lbs
Bulgarian squats: 15lb DB's each hand (Only could get out one set)
Calf Raises: 25lb DB (15 reps)
Diet
Breakfast: english muffin, pb, whey, milk
Snack: yogurt, soybeans
Lunch: chicken caesar salad, cappuccino
Preworkout: oats, whey,
Postworkout: whey, banana
Dinner: chicken, brown rice,
Notes
ok, is my name Roni? Back issues tonight!!! Front squats were fine, got my normal hip pain but pushed through. Tried two sets of back squats, I widened my stance and pointed my toes out and that help me not lean forward as much, but the hip pain was greater then usual.
Then on to RDL's, where I got some tightness in my lower back. After my first (and only) set of Bulgarians, wow, sharp pain in my lower spine area. I tried stretching it by reaching for my toes and it hurt more! WTH? So no more bulgarians!
If the pain is still around come the weekend, I'm going to book an appointment with the chiro.

Muscle Cramps
Another thing I should mention is that I've been getting muscle cramps lately. In my feet, calves and traps. The other day I was reaching over the back of a desk to grab a pen and my right trap cramped right up, it hurt so bad! And then today I was looking back with my neck turned back, and my trap and neck cramped up. Things like this are happening quite frequently (well, going from none before to some is a lot to me). And if I curl my toes, my foot will cramp sometimes. I'm wondering if I'm lacking something. I switched multivitamins but my new kind I've been on for maybe a month now, so I don't know if it's that or what, but this isn't normal....

Yeah I agree, that does not sound normal! I hope you get to feeling better soon, but if you don't you may want to go talk to someone about it!

Doesn't cramping have something to do w/ sodium or dehydration or something? I know they give my brother plently of gatorade and water during football to stop cramping...I hope the back feels better!

I'm not sure, I thought it was potassium deficiency. But I have been slacking on my water consumption lately so I'll drink up and see if that helps.

And just pull that **** out of you and get motivation to not give up
And not be a quitter, no matter how bad you want to just fall flat on your face and collapse.

Mornin' April
Those cramps sound nasty. It could definitely be the water - my calves sometimes cramp up if I haven't been getting enough fluids (at least, that's what I thought was causing it ).
How's your back feeling today? Any better?

Hey girl!
back is ok. I put some myoflex on it last night. Though I haven't stretched it to see how it really feels, but so far so good. And on top of it all, I have hammie DOMS

Then on to RDL's, where I got some tightness in my lower back. After my first (and only) set of Bulgarians, wow, sharp pain in my lower spine area. I tried stretching it by reaching for my toes and it hurt more! WTH? So no more bulgarians!
If the pain is still around come the weekend, I'm going to book an appointment with the chiro.[/b]

If you're experiencing all this hip pain please please don't keep pushing through it...everyone is different and if certain things cause you pain I would be really cautious about continuing until you can find a way around it or a way to resolve it...
Just wouldn't want you to get hurt!!!
Good workout and diet! See, you're right back on track!
