Serratus anterior and DB Pullovers.

Hello,
i did a search on the forum before.I learnt that serratus is involved in some rowing and presses movements as well during Dumbells pullovers.

I got a problem tho,as im getting leaner i noticed that my Serratus anterior on the right side is most developped than the serratus anterior of the left side.
How to get my serratus(ii) even?

I heard that switching your hands position when doing db pullovers (right hand closest hand to the plates and vice versa) could help me to get my serratus even.I want the left side to grow faster to catch up the right side so how to place my hands?

serratus is a thin broad muscle and so i wouldnt worry about trying to "even it out". DB pullovers hit is somewhat but anything involving scapular protraction is going to hit it the hardest. holding dumbbells up in the "finish" position of an incline press and pushing your shoulder blades out and back will work well. weighted punches and pushups are good too. and of course having low BF.

IMO - I would NOT try to overcompensate one side to 'catch up' to the other side.

Chances are you have been doing something (your guess) your entire life to create such a disparity and you haven't noticed it until you became leaner.

My suggestion is to work both sides evenly (equally intense) and your left side will come in naturally because your body will try to achieve a state of balance. Additionally, if you keep losing body fat the left side will come in. Low BF is the key to 'seeing' the Serratus - IMO.

Thanks a lot i found some exercises especially made for serratii ill try to incorporate them in my routine. Although im doing pull overs 4times a week so ill keep looking for it, the right hand position to develop left side faster.

scroll down to the bottom of the page and look for "Serratus Anterior" with a CTRL+F on the web page.
Good luck!
