I'm not old enough to remember the late40s to early 50s Cleveland Browns, but they must be included in any such discussions.
They won the first four All-America Football Conference titles, then (along with the Colts and Niners) were brought into the NFL, where they promptly defeated the defending champion Eagles 35-10 and played in the next 6 NFL Championship Games, winning three. That's 10 straight title games played in.
QB Otto Graham is the only NFL QB ever to play in a title game in each of his seasons in the league. Over his 10-year career, the Browns lost just 17 games.
But since the Poll didn't include them, I voted for the Steelers. The Niners would be my next choice, and I think the 1989 49ers would probably have beaten any team ever assembled. But the Steelers were a bit more dominant within a confined time frame.
Edited to note that I wrote the above comment before I read the second page of this thread, with some good comments as to why this team should be included and the justification by the thread author for not including them, which is fine too. I'm just glad they got some props!
