Steve, it is nice that you are getting a trainer, are you still at the Rec? If you ever get out to Key Largo, I'll be more than happy to push you around a little.

There was a time when that would have bothered me. But knowing where I came from, and knowing where I am headed, it doesn't. Besides if that is what you need to do in life to make you feel that much better, then all the power to you buddy.

Well we are 1/3 of the way there. 4 out of 12 weeks done. I would like to hear people's thoughts, queries, anecdotes whatever. Particularly from the judges, that could ramp up our transformations.

blsmith - its a bit difficult to compare your pics as they are slightly different shots, but the second pair of pics clearly shows you've lost weight round your neck. Good work fella.

Well last night, I took the free pass I was given at the new gym and went to work out legs. Getting there was a struggle becuase of the snow storm but I preservered! I didn't go as heavy as I know I can only because I havent done these exercises in awhile so I didn't want to get major DOMS today!
Leg Press
warmup 1 x 15 x 180
3 x 15 x 270
Hack Squat
4 x 15 x 180
Leg Extension and Curl
each 3 x 15 x 60
And then 20 minutes on the elliptical medium speed.
It felt so good to really start working the leg muscles properly. It's so hard to do them at home with dumbbells. Thus begins a new chapter in my life and a higher gear in the contest! Watch out Steve, hope you can keep up!!!
ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Well not much going on the past couple of days. Happy to finally have a gym to call home. Getting ready for the new job. Stuff like that. Today I had to go shopping, blech. It was about a mile walk there and another back, and most people have not shoveled their walks yet and some has melted so the street corners I full of water. Not very pleasant. But on the way home I was carrying some heavy bags and decided to get a workout in and did some shrugs with the bags...LOL. Anyway you can right?
I hope everybody is doing well with whatever goals they may have. Steve, you better be bringing it more than you are on this thread :P Just bugging you bro! Hope you're doing well!!!

haHA! Shrugs with grocery bags - awesome!
That's got to be some part of some old school workout. Curls with gallon jugs of water, shrugs with grocery bags, etc.

I have curled them before too but with the sidewalk conditions as they were I didn't want to take a chance of me wiping out.
