Its still a protein blend and would be nice to take before bed since it has casein in it. The "energy" comes from the Medium Chain Triglycerides in Muscle Milk. I still think it sits too heavy to take it pre-workout. I like it for breakfast if I dont have time to cook.,,,which is usually.

Id treat it like any other protein supplement. I take protein on off days sometimes, just to make sure I get enough in.

I'm in the same boat as this guy. I too end up working out (on average) around 7:30p so when i'm done my workout i'll take my isolate instead and I'll have the muscle milk in the AM for breakfast and just treat it as a meal replacement.
What do you guys think of that?

Like stated above
Muscle Milk is a great protein for morning, night, or anytime else you want to take it. The protein content isn't really high, but I always mix it with milk, so I get about 45 grams of protein per serving. Plus, it tastes freaking AWESOME!!
