Over her in oztralia in queensland we have a beach town called Airlie Beach some people might know of it, as it has heaps of back packers and wat not. Anyway there are plenty of clubs and bars and when i was there recently for schoolies i saw at least 4 guys who were short as. Also one of them was chatting to us about our time at schoolies so far. He said he came to airlie for his schoolies 2 years ago. That made him 18 maybe 19 i figured, so i dont know bout the age thing. If your old enough to be at the club then there shouldnt be a problem.

its not even worth it man. its too much trouble and not enough pay. you could actually get killed. the other day these guys got kicked out of a strip club here in toronto. an hour later they came back with guns and shot into the crowd in front of the club trying to kill the bouncer.

My friend is a bouncer at 5'7" and 205lbs. He's one of the scariest motherf*ckers I know though. I don't know what the law is in canada, but I'm pretty sure you have to be at least 21 to bounce here.

what's the pay for a bouncer anyways? you probably can make better use of those muscles if the pay isn't great.

i see height playing into a factor. im 6'5" when i walk into a bar and the door guy is on the shorter side. strong or not when it come to sheer mass if theres a smaller guy tryin to break something up hes got a lil struggle on his hands. i am also an EMS we've been called out to a bar fight and arrived b4 the cops do, and have given the bouncers a hand calming things down, ive noticed it seems i have things alot easier than some of the shorter guys.

the point of being a bouncer is intimidation, not to try to get into a fight. you want to prevent problems. too many people want to be bouncers just because they want to fight.
honestly bouncers don't get paid much and you're better off spending time doing something else.

Sure you can. I know a guy that's seriously 5'8" and 160lbs. He's not the muscle, but is the brains. He's the head of security for Nikki Beach in Miami.

you have the size... I dont see why not. Most bouncers around here are weaksauce. One thing that might work against you is your height.

How's that funny? It's not hard to dodge them but it's something good to know as that's the punch most people use.

i read in the earlier pages to wear a tight shirt. for me, tight shorts dont work out too well, they make my arms look huge, and depending which one it is my chest, but most of em make me look really narrow. my favourite look big shirt -XL golf polo(all navy blue) with sleeves rolled up 3 times(just to show a bit of tricep insertion and emphasize width )

Just do it. Im 17 and I plan on doing it when I turn 18 to. Confidence and calm under pressure are the most important things. Besides these days beating the **** out of someone is not a good idea with all the law suits and trouble you can get in. Plus there will be a **** load of girls.

For sure - i rarely ever walk in to a bar and see a bouncer taller than me... but most are way bigger than me (be it fat or muscles)
It's just intimidation factor that works, more than anything.
My friend is about 5'4, 125lbs and I wouldn't ever dare pick a fight with HER. She's been fighting in muay thai tourneys for the last couple years, and her skin's as tough as nails and she has a personality that cuts through steel. She's knocked out girls way bigger than her and injured a good number of Krus in her training... but she'd make a ****ty effin' bouncer cuz she's cute as **** and really small.

Just join evry single martial art club in your area...
do them for a couple of months, your probly learn the basics of all of them and if your smart you should learn allot about fighting.
(depending on the level of fighting you are at now, and how smart you are)

lol why a bouncer? That's a truly **** job. There's nothing worse than having guys wanna fight you and having to be all up in other peoples business breaking up fights etc.
if it paid good i would totally understand, but it doesnt. it doesnt need to because there's always some big fat guy looking to go on a power trip.
