Yea, but he had already done it, awhile ago..so I think he`s strapped in giving me anymore, for awhile. Oh, well..I guess it`ll happen, when it happens!

Body Pump Class
Well I have made a deal with my cousin in-law that I would take classes with him, if he starts lifting weights with me. His stats are roughly 6'3 320lbs+. He does not lift weights at all, and honestly could probably not do a full set of 10 on bench with 85lbs. He does cardio a couple days a week, but has always refused to lift weights, even though I have tried to get him to many of times. I have really been trying to get him to start lifting because honestly he has very little LBM. He finally agreed to lift weights with me, if I do classes with him...so I agreed. I am up for anything....as long as it helps eachother out.
Well today we did a 1hr long class called "BODY PUMP". I will admit that it beats the hell out of my ordinary treadmill cardio. There was a huge puddle of sweat on the floor in front of me when we were done. You are steadily lifting weights while doing full body exercises....lungs, squats, clean & presses, flys, bench, dead lifts, military presses, sit ups, crunches, bench press, skull crushers, etc. etc. etc.
I really enjoyed it though...
I did try to be more manly by putting more weight on the bar (by far) than everyone else...Lets just say I regretted it afterwards.
So from now on I will be incorporating the following classes into my workouts:
Body Pump
kick Boxing
Power Pedal
Should be interesting....and it should help burn away the fat.
Tim

Good morning, Team!
Bet most of you will be off playing, for the weekend. Have fun!
I`ve been working on my macro numbers and trying to get my calories up. Noticed, after last night, that with my carbs at 30%, my energy level dropped, and I`m working on fixing that. So, I re-worked my numbers, this morning, and am going to try out 35C/25F/40P, and see how that goes. Already, after just eating breakfast with a bit more complex carbs, I feel more satisfied.
So far, with todays menu, anyway, my calorie count will be very close to 1500 (just a few cals under), and I think that is going to be much better for me, than the 1200 range I was 'struggling' to get to. Sure is easier to build up a higher calorie menu, with more food quantity, working with just a bit more carbohydrates.
Hope this works, as I sure can notice a reduction in my tummy puffiness, since eating the lower carbs. Really don`t want to go any higher than 35%, for this simple fact, but I know 30% was just not enough for my body, and I could feel it.

Sounds like a great workout plan, Tim! Think you`re gonna try to be a little less "manly", at your next session, though? LOL Sure hope your cousin-in law sticks it out.

Defenitely...
The class by itself was a little embarassing. Me, right at 300lbs in there with a bunch of in shape cute girls.

Hey, I think it`s awesome you`re doing the class, in spite of a bit of embarrassment. Certainly more than I could bring myself to do! I`m more of a loner, when it comes to exercising, so I give lots of credit to people who enjoy the class scene!

Oh, I know! I just felt bad with my mess up and would never, intentionally, leave out all the great guys in this group.

Deanna, I use the Nutrition Tracker on Spark People. But I`ve been reading a lot of people on BB use Fit Day. Never checked that one out, cause I`m perfectly happy with what I`ve been using for almost a year, but you may want to give it a try.
Clean eating takes a lot of planning. You almost have to set aside 'studying' time, just to get used to reading all labels! LOL I`m about 1.5 months into it, myself, and it took me a good while to get it right. Now, I eat pretty darn close to 90 & 98% clean, everyday.
Getting your 'diet' as clean as possible, will take care of 80% of your weight loss battles. It wasn`t until I started the clean eating, that my ab`s finally came to the surface. Before that, I was just going through all the motions and not seeing any progress with my tummy.
You`ve definitely got the workout side of it down..no question there!!

Hello Everyone!!
Got to the gym late tonight---forgot it was Sunday and got a short one in but I guess that is better than nothing. I need a full two hours in the moring for cardio and lifting then I can do a little here and there at work. The trouble is getting to the gym with enough time. Child watch is only open untill 12:00 and I need the full two hours. I want to make it a goal this week to put in a min of two hours a day. It is chruch time and I need to step up my game. I was watching The Biggest Loser the other day and they work like dogs--I have no excuse. I need to push my self more. I am strong and healthy and could push harder. That will be my focus for the week. Have a great day tomorrow! Remember you are strong too!

A new week is starting. Are you ready? I am on day 27 of my 92 day challenge. I will have to start cutting more calories and carbs from my diet soon. Icould get crabby. Just a little warning. LOL
This morninging I got some HIIT cardio in before I logged on. This afternoon I will be doing back and legs. Its the first day of the new plan so I am anxious to see how it feels.
Stay strong.

I have been writing down food since I started here. I went off the books this weekend but ate clean anyway. I am getting back on it today though. It definitely helps alot. I would reccomend it.

This is helping me alot and I agree that the diet is most of the battle.

Remember you are strong too!

try mixing it up what I try to do is on cardio I plan on burning a certian amount of calories. If I am running late, I just have to bump up the intensity to burn the calories in less time.

This morninging I got some HIIT cardio in before I logged on. This afternoon I will be doing back and legs. Its the first day of the new plan so I am anxious to see how it feels.
Stay strong.

My Numbers and other excitement for the day!
I weighed in today and my hardwork is showing. I dropped another 4.4lbs (down to 225.4) this week. If I can keep these numbers up I will be psyched, but I know they are gonna have to slow down soon.
The other exciting news is that today at 2pm we get our first ultrasound, which means we may be able to tell the baby's gender. I am pretty psyched about that too.

Congratulations on both the loss and the baby. This is an exciting time for you. My husband was thrilled when he found out the sex of ours. I didnt care. I just wanted them healthy.

I am really only concerned with the healthy too. But I think when we see the lil guy/girl my wife will finally let me move the baby furniture out of my garage and into the baby room.
