how to eat oatmeal in class
In the morning before school make about 3 cups of oatmeal up (one for mid-morning, one for lunch, and one about 3:00.)
Okay then carefully pour the poridge into 3 separate plastic screw top flasks.
These flasks look like your normal 1 litre drink bottles. So you can down the porridge during class as though your simply drinking your water.
I've been doing this for the past 2 weeks. What do you think?

You are blending the oatmeal with water or milk? then putting it in a water bottle?

i pour boiling water over the top of the 3cups with the stove on max setting. Then i stir it around for about 2mins and then in the same saucepan pour in enough milk till it is cool enough/dietary needs. Then i just carefully pour the mixture off into my plastic flasks.

Good job, would consider giving that a shot if I didn't hate oatmeal so much.

Yes, but when you COOK it that 1 cup only becomes half of that.
See here: http://www.calorie-count.com/calorie...id=8123&size=1
It's supposedly only 129 calories when cooked, and 276 calories when dry, according to that website.

That's probably because the oats expand when you cook them/heat them in water so 1 cup cooked isn't as many as 1 cup dry
