My family and I want to thank everyone for the well wishes, thoughts and prayers!! Keep em coming!!

Trey is eating well, which should help him start to maintain his glucose level better. His readings are starting to get a tad better although he had a tough night last night after having a good day yesterday. It looks like he will probably be in ICU till about Thursday or Friday (fingers crossed). The doctors don't like to give you a time table but that is sort of what they are saying without saying a time, I hope that makes sense.

My wife is doing pretty well, at least as well as could be expected. I am hanging tough and doing all I can to support her and the rest of my family.

Once again, thanks for the support from all of you, I knew I could count on you guys!!! I will keep you guys updated, it is therapeutic to get it out as well. Talk to you guys later!!

He has a full head of hair and a hell of a grip. That grip tells me he will be ready for lifting in not too long. Definitely a lady killer!!!

Update: Trey had a good night (1-20-07)as sugar level was a little more stable. Heart rate was elevated but trying to look at the positives!! At this point, that is what is getting me through, looking at the positives. It is hard to believe he has been in ICU for 5 days.

I am staying strong and Mom is doing well.

Thanks Pete!! I need all the prayers I can get!! It has been the most difficult thing in my life!! We need to get the blood sugar under control as well as the heart rate, which is a very tricky thing. He has been in ICU for 5 days and it seems you get one better and the other pops up. I am mentally and physically exhausted but gotta keep on pluggin away and gotta be strong!!

I sure hope so because this recent update I got from the doctor's is just starting to piss me off!!! I just hope he isn't giving me more than I can handle as my shoulders are really getting heavy again.

Update Time: Well, they are looking at trying to ween him off the medicine he has been on to see if he can now start to produce more insulin and take over the whole producing of blood sugar for himself and maintain his level.

He has been in the Intensive Care Unit now for 9 days and we are looking at 6 to 13 days more. It really depends on how he does througout the weening process. Most babies with this problem are able to take over within 2-4 days, so he is definitely having a much more difficult time with this.

It is hopeful that there won't be any longterm problems, that is the best casce scenario. So again, I ask for prayers that there won't be any long term ramifications.

My wife has been living at the hospital as they have given her a room and I have been taking car of my 4 year old, Brooke. It has been rough on her and I as we have lived in the car as we have been making the track to the hospital (45 minutes away).

I start back at work on Monday, so that will be difficult with Trey still in ICU. So, will see, but I am being tough and hanging in there as It is important I am strong for everyone.

Please just keep us in your prayers!! I want to thank everyone for their support, kind words, and thoughts! You guys are the best!!
