I have met this guy that I like and he is 4inches shorter than me, but he has no other issues that I am aware of that I can see for now. So I'm asking "would you date a guy shorter than you?"

I'd date (and have dated) someone 4 inches shorter than YOU (5'3"), but I'm not sure I'd be attracted to someone 4 inches shorter than ME (5'0"). It's not a thing where I worry about other people's perception of my short boyfriend, but a matter of what I'm attracted to.

So, if the guy you're speaking of great in every other way and you're attracted to him regardless of his height, base your decision on that. But don't feel bad because you simply can't make yourself feel attracted to an otherwise great guy, either.

Absolutely! Height means nothing, and I have never (since I've been an adult) let it deter me from dating anyone. Maybe when I was super young I cared... but definitely not anymore. Personality means EVERYTHING!!!

I don't know. 4 inches shorter than me is officially a little person...I guess I'd have to see if I was attracted to him. The one on jackass is good looking though.

Well 4 inches shorter than you is just a short guy. I've known a couple great martial artists that were that short. If I were taller, I wouldn't mind a shorter guy

I've found that those guys who are shorter know that they've got to have a lot more going on to get a girl's attention. Meaning they're smarter, funnier, more attentive, and sweeter than most out there.

Would I initially be attracted to someone 4 inches shorter than me? Probably not - that would make him 4'7". (Although I did think "midget mack" on i love new york 2 was kinda cute hehe). That's not to say that if I got to know him I wouldn't be attracted to him. And that is the most important thing - getting to know someone. So initially no, but I wouldn't hold back in getting to know someone and going from there.

Katie Brumbach (Later Heymann) with the stage name of Sandwina went 200 lbs stood 6' tall was able to lift her 160 lb husband over her head with one hand. At 160 lbs I doubt he came close to 6 ft tall. She was also known for lifting a 600 lb cannon onto her shoulder to and walking around the ring with it! Just a little bit of history with a little relation to the topic, but I thought it might be interesting to know!

Well i dated a girl who was 6'1 and she never had a problem with my height. Although she did get a kick out of calling me her hobbit.

I was simply agreeing with the other poster. I personally would find something more mature to "make conversation" with than to nitpick a man's height, something he would have absolutely no control over...unless he borrowed Gene Simmon's shoes. But to each their own, i guess.
