Can eggs be frozen?
Hi everyone, I just wanted to know if eggs can be frozen? I have been seeing some recipes that include frozen eggs. How are they frozen and how are they once thawed and cooked. This inquiring mind wants to know.

recipes with frozen eggs? i have never heard that.
eggs last for an extremely long time though so i dont know why they would need to be frozen. many say that are good for over two weeks after their expiration date which is already a long time.

yes they can but only the whits..... separate the eggs, one at a time, making sure that no yolk gets in the whites. Pour them into freezer containers, seal tightly. i dont know of any recipes involving frozen eggs. hope this helps.

oh and i woudent recomand cooking them from frozen unless its poaching them. for the same reason you dont cook a roast from frozen the out sise will be overdone/burnt and the inside will still be frozen. so make sure you let them thaw out. and for ease of cooking you could freeze the whits in a ice cub try one med sized egg whits should fit in to a ice cub tray.
