That's great Steve. I'm going to take some more without the paper this weekend so I can properly flex.

Jan 9 2008
Walked alot yesterday didnt do any lifting things are kind of a blur for me right now I have so much going on but I know that if i can conquer these things my life is going to be great. I got a new job and have to get ready to move and all that jazz. I am going to take it easy the next couple days gym wize but believe me I will still be getting a workout in. Next week the gym is going to become my second home. Jan 9th I had oatmeal for breakfast, yellowfin tuna with brocolli and potatoes for lunch and for dinner I had brocolli and beef with my own homeade sauce. I know I need to eat more which sounds odd when your trying to loose weight but thats the case. I am not going to fail at this. I am going to loose fat and gain muscle. I will be a success.

I just blogged on my page but I will share here as well.
Yesterday was a quiet day also for me as far as weights are concerned. JUst some walking nothing special. Eating was clean. My nose is still acting up a bit but it has gotten better.
However, tnoight will truly begin the next step for me. I don't want to say too much until it actually happens but it is going to mean an even faster transformation than I had thought previously. I will fill you all in tomorrow! ;-)

Alright!!! I'm ready to rock now!
Here in the city, I have found a club run out of a guy's garage for powerlifting. I went last night to check it out. Man, what an inspiration. Some of these guys are Canadian champions. I couldn't believe the amount of weight they were pushing. And the best part is, they were very support of me starting out and taking the time to show me proper form and such. I believe this will be a great supplement to my normal gym work. I am going to build so much strength this way and then I can worry about cardio and non-powerlifting muscles at the gym. For the record, my lifts last night was...
BENCH PRESS
5 x 90
5 x 110
3, 2 (FAILED ON 3RD), 2 x 135 (1 plate on each side)
Normally they do one "lift" per session as it's a small place but they wanted to show me how to do a proper deadlift... and I pulled 135 pounds 10 times.

It was great Krista! I don't think I will do ti exclusively as it on;y works certain body parts but it will be a great supplement to an overall strength building regime. At least I kno what my benches and deadlifts are now. Now I can set goals with them.

Yesterday was a quiet day. Feeling the DOMS from the benches.
Today I did some back work on the bowflex and my dumbells.
Diet is still clean. Feeling pretty good. Going to take progress pictures tomorrow!
Wonder where Steve is, haven't heard from him in a couple of days. ???

hey there
bad weekend for me but im focused again, part of this challenge is learning how to deal with the struggled and tribulations of everyday life and how to have enough discipline to do the things you need to do. I had some time to think this weekend and just reflect what this means to me. Hope everyone is doing great and I will post pics again next week. All my stuff is packed up this week so not going to dig it out to take a pic sorry.

I should be happy, I'm not. Something is screwing with my head. I have not gone off my diet or exercise regime but something in my head is trying to sabotage me. I have yet to give in but I am feeling very depressed. I don't know what it is. I don't want to feel this way. I should be ahppy with the changes going on with my body, and all I want to do is curl up in a ball. HELP!

Thanks Steve... and to make things worse something happened at work that made me feel even more like crap.
So to be honest...no workouts today. But still eating healthy. No cheating. I had a Lindt chocolate in my hand and put it down before I unwrapped it. one small victory I suppose.
