Nice to see you bulking Carly Carl. Can't wait to see the results.
For the hamstring, use the foam roller to knead out the knots in the hamstring. Painful, but great!

My friend (distant cousin) Played for OSU back in 1989-1991. For years he wouldn't take a ring from a bowl game he played in, can't remember what it was. I have some friends that went to Ohio state as well. I have lived in Ohio for 90% of my life. My SEC team is Alabama. I have more Alanbama clothing than Ohio state though. Thats where I was born, Montgomery.
I fell asleep at half time. I am glad I did. Oh well. Maybe they will make it to the Championship again next year for the 3rd time in a row??? I don't think that has ever happend?

I really never had this happen while working out, always at night in bed or the next morning which is rare also. I think I will start stretching more and could be contributed from the "loose" diet.
I do feel like I have a slight fever and a runny nose. I am going to see how I feel after work b4 I decide if I take today off or not. I am leaning towards taking today off right now.
I think I will look into getting that roller this weekend. You are a good sport for helping out the competition (you know what I mean). lol

HEY JULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Always glad to see your shinning face.
Yes, as you know me it was sort of rough for me to not be competitive this year. But I do realize that I may have been holding myself back a little by strict dieting all the time.
Thanks for all your support. I appreciate it!!!

Sorry about the Buckeyes, but I have to admit I was rooting for my co SEC team. Also, my fav. NFL team is the Steelers lol. But, I also root for the Browns and Bengals.
Dang nice shoulder work. I don't even attempt to lift anything that will be hard on my shoulders anymore. I saw where you like poker. Do you play anymore? I use to play all the time, now only occasionally and some on the internet....anything for a challenge I guess.

Ok, so my mind was made up for me today by my bowling team.
I am suppose to bowl 2 times a month (every other week) on Tuesdays. One of the guys can't make it. I said I would fill in. It works out for me because I still don't feel 100%.

I am the same with poker I love to play hold em. I only played in 2 tournys in the past year. I am suppose to play in a 30 person tourny in two weeks with $100 buy in. I have to make up my mind by this weekend. It Blows that it is illegal on the internet now. I played all the time last year mostly on Paradise Poker. It was fun while it lasted.
They have charity and booster tournaments around here. Ususlly 150 - 200 people show up. A lot of good play and some fish that really get lucky which is one of the reasons that I don't play much anymore either.
Now with two kids in daycare I cant afford to go to any casinos now adays. I guess it is a good thing.
Oh yeah, I got your Terrible Towel right here buddy!

I usually play the free stuff on PokerStars.com It will get you use to the "fishy" play. That is why I never play in a tourney I can't afford. Also, why I hate "rebuys". You can't compete with a fish with a pocket full of bills.
Steeler fan since way back when I was a yungun'. Root for the Browns since they had Couch (sorry about that lol). Also, my best friend in HS moved from Huntsville to KY and was a Tide fan. We would really get into it over that lol.
Working out this evening and heading to the Lake to fish for a couple of days.

I feel great today thanx. Man that Pro Tan really is cold ain't it. Burrrr!
I tried to put it under warm water once but didn't work too well. I see that Dream tan has a product that is applied like Pro Tan. Next time I decide to get on stage i am going to give that a try.
I figure since I was really not motivated a few months ago this journal will help me stay motivated. So far so good. It is time consuming like you said though.

I can not play with the free stuff because people go all in all the time with nothing. Funny thing this morning, my wife e-mails me and asked me if I want to go to a casino in May. Makes me wounder if she is spying on me by reading this. lol
Romeo I still don't think is head coach material and i really don't like our QB. He is WAYYYY to inconsistant. Put in Quinn.
What are you fishing for? I don't know what bites this time a year.
I want these past 5 years camping with the wife and kids. I haven't caught a fish any of those times.
I have big plans to catch one and eat it for dinner and never do, GRRR! lol

Chest & Bi's
I decided to hit chest and bi's today then Legs tomorrow due to my last leg workout being so short. It may be out of my regular rotation but I think switching things up will be a real good thing.
Bench:

Incline Bench:
1 set 135lbs 12 reps
1 set 155lbs 9 reps
2 sets 165 6,6, reps
Hammer Strength wide chest:
1 set with 2 45's each side 90lbs 10 reps
3 sets with 3 45's each side 135lbs 7,6,6 reps
Dumbell curls:
2 sets 25's 15 reps each arm
3 sets 50's 8,8,7 reps
Hammer strength preacher curls:
1 set 45lb plate 12 reps
2 sets 75lbs 9,8 reps
2 sets 90lbs 7,7 reps
Abs:
crunches 40
leg lifts: 25,30,25 Total 80
15 minutes on the stationary bike level 1

Thank you and yes it was a real good day.
Tomorrow is Friday one day closer to the weekend. One thing that sucks is that there are NO sports until Baseball for me anyway. I really can't get into basketball much. Oh well it will give me that much more time to spend with the kids, right?

Man those are the days that really get me upset, the ones with unexpected happenings that get in a way of a day from training. Just try to think of it as an extra day of rest to REALLY hit it tomorrow.
Just my thoughts.

I often swap body part days around, usually depending on how I feel and what I have been doing phsyically. It helps keep me motivated when I start to get tired (or its leg day).
Nice squat weights.

Hi ntrllftr!
Last time I was in a bowling arena I got thrown out because I threw the ball up and it came crashing down on the lane....... ooooops!! I was only 13. I haven't been brave enough to enter those places since.

Thanks, the weight is slowly coming back up.
I really cant swap my toutines around. I use to do delts the day after chest but I found that my delts hurt by doing that. I have to have at least a day rest from chest and delt days. With a four day split there is not too many variables there.

I was suppose to start with a partner but he goes to a different gym and I do not want to buy a membership at his place. I think it would be good to have a a partner. Then again he might hold me up. Who knows I will just keep working out alone.
What does your leg work out consist of?

LOL I use to be on leagues when I was about 9-13 I liked it a lot. Then didn't bowl for years. This is the first time I have been on a league in about 10 years. Probably be my last as well, it really cuts into my working out and the peer pressure of having a beer. lol
I enjoy it,but it is getting rea expensive. $16 a week (every other week) and a round of drinks. Even buying a soda for everyone gets to be like 6 bucks.
Still fun but I want to compete next year and think it will interfere with my plans.

Legs...
ATG Back Squats, ATG Front Squats (or Hacks or Presses), SLDL (or lying curls or standing curls), Leg Extensions, Walking Lunges (or bulgeria squats or weighted bench steps). I always keep the staples but mix the others up.
Enjoy your day off...
What are Overhead shrugs?

Thanks, I really don't do lunges maybe i should start doing them once in a while.
Best way I can explain it is when you hold a bar over head and sort of try to touch your ears with your delts.
Man I woke up at 04:00. I don't know what my problem is. I just can't sleep tonight well this morning.

Nice workouts Carl.
I just got back from fishing. Nothing was biting. LOL We (Dad and I) fished at Lake Cumberland for stripers.
4 sets of 205# on the bench will make you sore. How many reps will you do before moving up? Will you jump to 225 or 215?
I was going to ask what overhead shrugs were, but now I know.

I went back to bed at 05:00 and was able to squeeze out 2 more hours of sleep. I had a long day with the kids today. Tomorrow morning back at the gym. Hope I sleep through the night tonight because some DEADLIFTS are in the immediate future.

No bites eh? Its bad enough not to catch anything in the summer. It must be twice as irritating in the winter.
I figure I will do 205 for two more workouts, then try 225 and see what I can do. Then I will figure out what I will do from there.
