Who would have known that the best tasting food in the world is McDonalds
Skillet Burrito? YUMMMMY
I am already loving this "eating big" stuff!
It will be a short lived lifestyle though lol
I have tons of time on my hands since I don't prepare all my meals all the time which is nice as well.

Aparently having just one off for me is bad enough as I can't count myself, my weeks are long but not 8 days... That last 2 is supposed to be a 1

I really never set my workout in a 7 day week.
I have had a 4 day split with a day rest making a total of 5 day week then start over. So if I did chest this Monday then chest would be hit on Saturday then on Thursday and so on and so on and... Whoops had tha commercial in my mind. lol
In other words No set day for a body part.
But I got your point wich still sounds good.

Smart Move brother...
I totally support your plan to gain size for the year and move up a weight class. Too many guys are not willing to shake things up and change the formula so they get to the next level in this sport. I know you are gonna be surprised at how much muscle you gain and how your body will reward you for this change. Keep me posted brother.

I keep a pen and paper journal and a BodySpace journal and also a Workout Tracker journal! Definitely helps me know what I should be shooting for so far as progress goes on weight and reps attempted goes.
Enjoying gettin' HYOOOG!

I read your blog today and looks like you have a really slid plan going on.
Your lifts are pretty much the same as me and our weight is the same.
We must be some kick ass older dudes.
When you gonna post some photos man? Inquiring minds want to see...

Shoulders & Traps
Ok so today I decided to take some measurements. I have not done so in over 3 years or so, except for my waist. Now I measured both left and right and averaged it out.
Weight: 160lbs.
Waist: 34 1/2
Arms: 16"
Legs: 24"
Chest: 43"
Calves: 15 1/4"
Forearm: 12 1/4"
I will wait for 6 months and measure again to see if anything changes.
I may post a progress pic on my B-day in a few weeks.
THE WORKOUT
Military Press;
2 warm up with 45lb bar 15 reps each
1 set 95lbs 12 reps
4 sets 135lbs 7,6,6,7 reps
Side Latterals:
3 sets 35's 8 reps each set
Rear laterals:
3 sets 45's 8 reps each set
Shruggs
2 sets Straight bar 135lbs 12 reps
3 sets 205 7,6,6 with streatch and hold at top for 2 count
1 set 135lbs 8 reps
Upright rows ( to target front delt and traps )
45lb bar 15 reps
3 sets 95lbs 7,8,7 reps
1 set 115lbs 5 reps
20 minutes on the Elliptical Level 15 220 cals burnt.

Thanks. I have thought about posting pics, but my wife always wonders if I'm trying to pick up women. LOL, If I was only the stud she thought I was.
My measurements are about the same as I posted this summer, except my waist is down and my chest (actually back) is up. So hopefully I have gained some muscle while losing some fat.
I have really been hitting deads hard this past year and want to continue to the 405# mark. It has been the big lift that has not bothered my shoulder. 335 for reps tomorrow ( I hope).

Don't you know that all guys 5'6" - 5'9" at our weight are all studs. Well the weightlifters anywhey. (at least let me believe that)
I honestly haven't measured in years until yesterday. I started to look at other peoples body spaces to compare. I feel happy with what I have achieved so far.
One of my weak points. OK two of them, my lower back and hammy's.
Deads are going to be my best friend this year.
YEAH Steelers LOST, YIPPIEEEE!!!! Titans better go all the way since they knocked the Browns out. GRRRRR!

I think next year will be a really EXCITING year between the rivalry
of The DAWGS and the Steelers. More than it was this year, they spanked our ass! Yes I can admit it, I'm a big boi.
I still have the Ohio State game tomorrow against LSU. I predict a better game than last year against Florida. I think it is a coin flip though.

Leg day (Hammy Cramp)
This morning I woke up with a slight headach.
Around Noon it went away. I am woundering if I am coming down with something because I got a cramp while doing leg presses.
Leg day:
Start off with leg presses: All sets are all the way to the stops and all the way up. Always have always will.
2 sets 1 plate per side 15 reps
1 set 4 plates oper side 10 reps
1 set 5 plates per side 6 reps
1 set 5 plates WHAM! 5 rep Left hammy tightens up.
I tried to stretch and loosen it up. Went to do some squats and couldn't.
Calves:
seated calves
3 sets 90lbs 12 reps
3 sets 140lbs 8 reps
Very disappointing workout to say the least.

I'm sorry! At least you were able to get some work done. I hate when stuff like that happens and it ruins my workout. Not to sound like your momma or anything, but are you drinking enough water?

Ouch, I agree with Hibby on the water.
Do you have a Foam Roller to get to that Ham? Best Investment I have ever made.
Hope all is well.

I didn't have any more or any less than any other day. I honestly can't remember the last time something like this has happend. I even had a bananna today which I normally don't eat. Potassium from the bananna should have helped, I would think.
This leads me to believe that I have some kind of cold or something because my whole body is aching right now.
No, I don't have a foam roller. How often do you use it? Just the night b4 back or legs or the night after? Every day?
Ohio state looked good out of the gate, Now at halftime man it looks like the Florida game all over again.

Yeah -- they did look tough out of the gate. LSU was looking kind of flat, but they definitely came out of the funk. LSU is tough when they are uninjured and playing well. They have a heck of a football team. I'm sorry if Ohio State is your team. Who knows? Another half to be played!

This leads me to believe that I have some kind of cold or something because my whole body is aching right now.
No, I don't have a foam roller. How often do you use it? Just the night b4 back or legs or the night after? Every day?

I was thinking that if your diet was a bit looser then your sodium would be up and without the extra water that might push to cramping. But your right about the banana... Sometimes things are just strange... Hope it does not set you back.
I use the roller just about every day, I keep everything loose and cramp free because of it, Legs, back, chest, arms, Neck... much cheaper than a massage.
