"So you gonna buy me a drink?"...

I've spoke to a few guys about this and they all think it shows a girl is confident to say that to a guy, i on the other hand hate it and think its taking the piss somewhat.

Anyway this happened to me last night and just wondering a what kinda response you guys would give.

Went out drinking last night with lots of friends and met some ppl from school i hadnt seen for a good 7 years, so there was a big difference in me from that time.

There was one girl there that i noticed and thought yea shes got really hot, but then carried on with the night and we were all having a good time. Looked over at one point and caught her staring at me, was one of those situations where she looked away and looked abit embarassed that i caught her.

Next time she came over while i was talking to a friend and was asking if i remember her and how ive changed, then before i could really say much else her bf whisked her away. At that point i noticed he went to kiss her and she pulled away and you could tell she didnt want to kiss him and they just went back and sat down.

Then later i went to the bar on my own to get me and a friend a drink, while i was ordering i felt a hand on my face then she sat up at the bar next to me. her first line was "So you gonna buy me a drink?".. lol its probably just me but i hate that saying, it really puts me off.
At this point my drinks were ready, i payed and said to her, "maybe...what will i get for buying you a drink", she kinda looked stunned and didnt say anything, the barman came over and i pointed her out, smiled at each other then i went back and sat down. lol she ended up getting herself a drink at teh bar and coming back.

After that the night ended, could see a bit of tension between her and her bf. Found out apparently hes a bit weak and her friends were saying she needs someone a bit stronger (mentally i mean lol) that doesnt give in to her every word.

So what would you guys say as a response back to that, as i think i may of messed up there, and you think anythings there? i mean its obvious she kept trying to talk to me, and caught her staring a couple of times.

- Went out with friends to bar
- Met ppl from school (not seen for 7+ years)
- One girl got hot, Caught her looking at me few times
- Kept trying to talk to me
- Came upto me at bar "So you gonna buy me a drink?"... what to say back
- Got a bf, she didnt want to sit with him/kiss him

Ok, jokes aside, I think you did pretty good but it would have been better if you got her digits or email at least, because it looked like she was on the horizon to breaking up. Also maybe she's still with her boyfriend until she finds someone better and she found you that day, but you didn't make the right decisions?

I know a sh*t ton of girls... (not trying to sound cocky or anything like that.. ) and trust me, its a waste of your money.

Me and my friends have been big into the bars around here.. for a few years now, met everyone we could.


The only time I say "go for it" on buying a chick a drink.. if you already have her in the bag and have been wheelin' her for a long while already..
been dancing for a while, maybe made out once.. bla bla.

Then sure, why not buy a couple drinks..







Never take a 'drinking bet' with a woman, odds are good she already knows she'll beat you at slamming that Jagerbomb down and has bet with 5 other guys that night.

Never talk for 5 mins and then buy them a drink..

and Always remember.. the "nice guy" 9/10 times loses. Have character, but keep sh*t real. Buying drinks is an instant obvious that you aren't keeping it real.

Yea nothing really came out of it in the end, a few of my friends said she looks like she likes me. I wasnt expecting a loada ppl from school to be there and as i hadnt been out properly for a while or seen ppl from school in a long time i didnt even get chance to speak to most ppl.

I think most ppl were shocked as i was about 110lbs at school, and everyone there last night (men) were either fat or skinnyso i guess i kinda stood out.

This was a special case, you should have bought it, and said something like: "sure, I'll get you one if you buy me one next time". and then judge her reaction. based on what she says, ask her for the number so you can hang out again.

Here are the guidelines..

1) U dont want to buy the drink if its just some random girl or osmeone you've been talkin to for 10 minutes. Buying the drink might be a good way to meet her but I think theres also that chance that she'll just ignore u after that.. u can get to know her without the $10

2) U dont want to give a response like "well what am I going to get"... yeah thats the easy answer that a lot of guys think of on the spot, but its really just a creepy answer

3) The way you want to interpret the question is that its some girl trying 2 chump you for a free drink, and that shes probably done it to a few guys already that night and isnt talking to them... so be keen to that

4) Give a playful answer like "how many sugar packets do u like in your water".. or if ur smooth, ask to see her ID and then memorize some fact about it and when u have a conversation with her later, act like you guess it

I buy girls drinks all the time. I only do it for girls I know though. Examples are coworkers at happy hour. I get good results from doing that if you know what I mean.
