Review : Universal Juicy Watermelon EAA Stack
Big thanks to Universal for sending out some free tubs of this to those members who won them over in the Company Promo section.
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/univ/eaa.html
100% Free Form Aminos Targeted For Lean Mass!
EAA Stack, with its comprehensive essential amino acid (EAA) profile, is designed to deliver the correct ratios of key essential amino acids required for igniting the anabolic drive via increased muscle protein synthesis and decreased muscle protein breakdown. Recent research has shown that, following resistance exercise, only EAAs are needed to spark protein synthesis - non-essential amino acids (NEAAs) are not required and are effectively wasted. What makes EAA Stack superior is that it contains the right forms and dose of EAAs. By using only special Free Form aminos, EAA Stack delivers those critical aminos fast, when your muscles need them most. Each serving of EAA Stack also provides a proven 6,000mg dose. So on the road to recovery and new growth, be sure to fuel your muscles with EAA Stack.
Taste: 9/10 Juicy Watermelon, just like the name implies. I must say, this is VERY GOOD. Xtend (while a BCAA formula) is very good, you can tell it is not a true watermelon flavor. EAA stack tastes just like biting into a giant piece of watermelon. Just a tad sour, but very refreshing during a workout.
Formula: 10/10 Free form EAA's, not much to it, nor does there need to be.
Efficacy: 10/10 I am dosing this, 2 servings (4 teaspoons, 12 grams of EAA's) with 30g dextrose, 30g WMS, and 5g plain creatine mono, intra/post workout. Not much DOMS the next day.
Price: 8/10 $19.95 here on BB.com for 35 servings which equals to $.57/serving. Pretty decent price.
Thanks again, Universal. I need to try the fruit punch soon or the BCAA stack flavors!

Thanks for the review Tuna. Universal did a fantastic job with the flavoring on this one, it's stellar.

Thanks for starting this thread! I got my tub a few days ago now, I pm'd the Rep with my thanks and to let him know when it arrived.
Now that I've taken it a few days I'll use the same format as above for my review:
Taste: 10/10 - for an amino supplement I think you did a great job in not only masking the flavor but giving it a great taste. It really does taste like a Juicy Watermelon to me.
Formula: 10/10 - I agree on this one too - While it only says it's "the correct ratios of key essential amino acids" I've learned that you guys know what you're doing and trust that is true. I've been taking my amino's mostly in tablet form via 'Universal's Amino Tech' but being able to drink down a full supply of EAA's in a tasty form, how much better does it get?
Efficiency: 10/10 - It's a little too soon to say how it's making a difference but I've already worked it into a new 'stack' as soon as this tub is done.
Price: 9/10 - I like the price but a bigger tub would be nice. I'm grateful we've got a standard shipping price here, but maybe a larger tub would become an option?
Overall I'm really happy with the product and it was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for allowing me to try it; it's won me over.
Happy Holidays!
