IMO I tried the watermelon (I think it was) of two tubs two summers ago and it was not that cheap, nor did it taste that good. Why can't they just make BCAAs flavored like choclate or vanillia so I can mix them in my protein shakes without it tasting like crap.
Either way I also came to the conclusion (after mega dosing leucine for two months also) that BCAA's are useless unless you are on a cut. And, while I am cutting now I am not even bothering to use them.

That's it! I was trying to figure out which ingredient it was that was making me feel like I was going to scratch a layer of skin off.

I think it's ok. I think bcaa's and eaa's work better with carbs so i diont see the point in having carb free formula's. The CM is nice.
At my weight, the recommended serving works out to be like 4 grams CM. Which is a nice little dose. Helps with endurance. The glutamine could offer some benefit. Glutamine can turn into glucose and buffer stomach acidity, so maybe (this is just a guess) it can help you more fully absorb the bcaa's, but that's just a quess....
Overall I think it's inferior to something like Vendetta or Ergopharm's All in One (R.I.P.)

Well, having carb-free versions allows for people to add their own carb sources in. I agree that BCAAs or EAAs seem to work better with carbs.

I have been using Xtend but just got purple wrath to see which one I like more. I want the Beta Alanine.
And for the record, it is just Xtend, Xtends is like that male enhancement product.

I used Xtend. Didn't feel anything.
I much more enjoy IntraBolic. Totally different formula from Xtend with the highly derived WPH and 5g of leucine per serving (which is more than enough for someone 200+ pounds of lean muscle). I only take 3/4 of a scoop cuz of my body weight in fact. And since I'm on a constant recomp (gain muscle while maintaining/losing body fat), I've noticed the effects of IntraBolic, such as its' anti-catabolic effects.
I'm enjoying IntraBolic thoroughly and plan to buy some more soon. And I've found it for $30-31, so if anyone wants to know where, PM me. It's a few bucks cheaper than bb.com but sometimes every dollar counts
