She was the life of the party, naturally. Actually, K is not one of my most favorite. Now my partner on the otherhand loves her. I'm not such a fan of the dissociative party aids in general. I'm too much of a control freak.
I like E....I'm old fashioned.
Oh, and I'm sure you'd be a welcome addition to my next soiree.

When HIV kills CD4+ T cells so that there are fewer than 200 CD4+ T cells per microliter (?L) of blood, cellular immunity is lost. In some countries, such as the United States, this leads to a diagnosis of AIDS. In other jurisdictions, such as in Canada, AIDS is only diagnosed when a person infected with HIV is diagnosed with one or more of several AIDS-related opportunistic infections or cancers[9][10][11]. Acute HIV infection progresses over time to clinical latent HIV infection and then to early symptomatic HIV infection and later to AIDS, which is identified either on the basis of the amount of CD4+ T cells in the blood, and/or the presence of certain infections, as noted above.
In the absence of antiretroviral therapy, the median time of progression from HIV infection to AIDS is nine to ten years, and the median survival time after developing AIDS is only 9.2 months.[12] However, the rate of clinical disease progression varies widely between individuals, from two weeks up to 20 years. Many factors affect the rate of progression. These include factors that influence the body's ability to defend against HIV such as the infected person's general immune function.[13][14] Older people have weaker immune systems, and therefore have a greater risk of rapid disease progression than younger people. Poor access to health care and the existence of coexisting infections such as tuberculosis also may predispose people to faster disease progression.[12][15][16] The infected person's genetic inheritance plays an important role and some people are resistant to certain strains of HIV. An example of this is people with the CCR5-Δ32 mutation are resistant to infection with certain strains of HIV.[17] HIV is genetically variable and exists as different strains, which cause different rates of clinical disease progression.[18][19][20] The use of highly active antiretroviral therapy prolongs both the median time of progression to AIDS and the median survival time.

who called for this information? Why is it helpfull/relevent? I could understand if someone asked otherwise - post it to the teens who think protection lies purely in contraception. Kinda offensive.

And this is why EVERYONE should practice safe sex. Gay, straight, male, female. I recently saw that the #1 killer for black women 18-35 is HIV. I saw it on tv, and do not remeber the source - I just remember being stunned by that fact.

Over in England the stats for the past 10yr or so have had those contracting being str8 in the majority - yet still press, medical/insurence, general populace, ect. see it as ours and though I`m glad we have the help where others dont - its like being shown ur own turd - constantly - I hate its automatic association and find it offensive.

I agree, but I'm not sure what the poster's intent was, so I checked out his profile and he really caused a stink in the misc thread!!
Based on what I read - I bet he was trying to piss people off in this thread.

I think this guy is not trying to piss people off. He's spreading awareness of the disease. He posted this in our thread too... and it made me re-asses things a bit. And if he's causing a stir, his self-mandated awareness campaign is effective. We are reminded of the disease and hopefully we respond accordingly by making adjustments in our sex life.

Wow talking about not having time to eat!!
These few days has been over the roof for me and its going to be like this up till my holiday. Thinking of the all parties is the only way to keep me going at this point.
We just signed all the paperworks for the a new cafe (2 min from our current cafe) and we will be running it a week after NY. So much stuff to do before the opening. Find contractors for new floor, ordering new Carbinates, new tills systems, eftpos, electricity etc... has to be switched over. You would of have thought that because you have done it before it will be easy but this **** seem to never get an easier.
Setting up a new whole management systems/operating/production systems so that both of the cafes can work together and hopefully will cut down alot of our expenses, wages, electricty etc...
Oh and don't let me start on finding staffs. The amount of people who claims to know be "barista" are shocking and none of them seem to be able to tell the different between a Flat White and Latte. I'm up to a point of where having a spare coffee machine for just the trailing purpose.
And i have to get it all of it done before my holiday otherwise knowing myself i will be worrying too much to have fun.
Ohh i had the best review i could possibly asked for in the national newspaper. So proud.
ps. Dr.John if you still have a time slot avalible i would like to make an appointment for a whole psycial check up please.
Hope you folks are enjoying the holiday season.

The Law of Gravity
Hey Everybody!,
Ho Ho Ho Homosexuals.
This is an update on being outed in the fire department and the aftermath.
Well I think I underestimated my friends in the fire department. The majority have shown that they do not care after discovering that I am gay. The ones that care are in fact fighting something themselves, at least I can prove that about one of them. I really think that I underestimated how much they value me as a friend. I was told that people actually respected me more because of the way I handled it and by being honest when the pressure was on me. I feel good about that.
Some other good has come from being outed. I have networked with a few guys I met through FIREFLAG and am hoping that I get to meet them all in the next year or two. If you know of any fire, EMS or cops that are looking for a support base then FIREFLAG is a great start. I also belong to another group as well. You can IM me if you need additional info.
The guy that outed me called a few of his fireman buddies to get some brownie points by spreading the rumor about my orientation. It spread like wildfire through the department by means of two unprofessional pricks, captains at that. This guy that was supposed to be my friend? Recently a gay friend of mine spilled the beans about something that guy is hiding in his personal life. Apparently he was curious about me for his own interests. It all makes sense now. He had tried to pry it out of me two years ago when he was hinting that I might be bisexual. Hell, I forgot that back in the summer of 2007 he had approached me to ask a bisexual girlfriend of mine to do a three way with us. Go figure. I tried to have sex with her a few months back but I just could not keep it up for her. Do you think I 'm gay? LOL.
As far as homophobia in the fire service, well, no one, firefighters or anyone else, wants to hear a constant barrage of stuff about our sexuality any more than I want to hear the same about or from straight people. I am just going to keep doing my job and hoping for and believing the best about people unless or until they prove otherwise.
In the meantime I hope that the captains that are so intrigued about my life enjoy seeing me in my Speedo. They may just get what they are looking for if they look hard enough.. :-)
My kids are doing well. My oldest son, now 23, was recently voted as hottest male by the gay male employees at the Circuit City store where he works part time. They know he is straight but they also know his dad is gay. He is not ashamed to tell anyone. That is the kind of relationship and openness we have. He is a riot.
The following photos were taken on my birthday,10 December 2007, the same day my updated avatar was taken. It was the sunrise at Wrightsville Beach, here near Wilmington, NC. There were porpoises in the water near the pier and seagulls feeding off of small fish. I walked the beach drinking a cup of Joe and picking up seashells. I am going to use them to border the frame I will use for one of the photos. While I was walking the beach it was snowing in Chicago and a winter storm was coming through the plains but it reached 80* here. I loved it.
May the best of 2007 be the worst of 2008 for all that read this!

Thanks for the updates Steve. I was wondering what had happened with you...
Glad to hear for the most part that things are going well. There will always be those who enjoy stirring things up at other's expense..
Thankfully, you're strong enough to not give a crap what those *******s think...
Coincidently, we were at the birthday party for one of our gay firefighter friends down here last night....
I think he's been out for around 8 years or so, if I remember correctly...
Hope your Holidays are well...

I am sure I can fit you into my schedule. I'd start my running my stethoscope over your pecs, then of course I'd have to check you for testiclar cancer. I'll try to linger down there as much as possible. I wonder if a semen sample would be necessary. Then, I'd have to ask you to turn around while I slip on some latex. Maybe on my hand, mabye not. In any event, I'll guarantee a deep proding that will leave you breathless.

FiremanSteve -
The pics of the sunrise are beautiful. So nice to hear that all is going well with your coming out, and you look positively edible in the new avatar.
Now, please post pics of your hottie son.

I believe I'll need to use an extra long and thick tool to reach that area.

Unfortunately not well at all. Wont be doing anything about it until the new year. Mom's got all kinds of good but bad foods waiting for me for christmas
The last five years I had been caring for my best friend. And really not taking care of myself. Pretty much forgot about myself in the process. But the best friend had to move back home with his mother. I couldn't do it anymore. It was just too much to deal with.

Fireman Steve!!!
Beautiful pictures...
And I am heartened by your story of people who stuck by you when you were outed. It is a terrible thing to have that personal decision taken out of your hands. I am not really out at work, but I'm sure they suspect. Perhaps that is why I tend to keep work very professional and not to get too personal with anyone. I think true friends will understand, but I'm sure you would have liked to come out (or not) in your own time.
And on a more personal note, I was posting about my fetish for hot gay firefighters and now you say you have a son who is a hottie?
Who's yerrrrr daddy? Yowza!!

Ahhh...this warms my heart. Congrats there, dude.

He`s not talking about drugs...(E)dmund is just a bit of an old fuddy duddy but he gets a bit strange at parties - it all depends on who hes mixed in with - sometimes hes brilliant and sometimes his old legs give way and he has a bad trip. Bless him thou - hes allways invited.
