Introduction *drum rolls please*
I have created this Journal for my first fitness contest. I have applied to another contest but I was not chosen, which is okay because this opportunity presented itself right after the contest had chosen its participants. I'm very excited to get started even though the actual contest does not start until January 7, 2008.
Since this particular forum only allows me to write about my workouts, please feel free to check out my profile. I utilize my Blog & Workout Tracker. Even though I already use the Workout Tracker, this Journal will let me write more about the exercises and be able to add pictures and helpful comments from others. My Blog includes a variety of things, mostly I post my Food Diary (for this month, it is not in the best shape), recipes, thoughts, etc.
If there's anyone that will be able to give some helpful hints and constructive suggestions, please feel free to express yourself. I'm also here to learn from people who have been successful in any of their fitness goals.
Some Information about the $70,000 Gold?s Gym Challenge ~ 12 Week "Get in Shape" Program
(It's mostly referred to as the 2008 Gold's Gym Transformation Contest ~ but who's asking? LOL!)
There are 5 Categories (Category is Determined by age at the beginning of the 12 week program)
18-29 (This is what I'm in)
30-39
40-49
50-59
60+
Anyone can enter as long as they pay the $49 entry fee (this is my Christmas Present from my Husband, YAY!)
Then we make an appointment to have BF%, Weight, body measurements, and pictures taken. I asked what we were to wear and she said for women to wear sport bra's and short shorts. I have to use the same clothes in my after pictures as well.
I read the Rules for the Challenge and found out that I have to write an essay. What?! Okay, I need to talk someone tomorrow about that because it's due the same day that I get measured. My appointment is on Monday January 6, 2008 and the contest starts the next day.
All participants are responsible in transforming themselves in the next 12 weeks. Illegal drugs are forbidden. They will do polygraph and drug tests if necessary. Supplements and any other nutritional needs may be used to help with your fitness goal. (If any Reps from any of the Sports Nutrition Companies is reading this ~ I welcome Samples!!! Please PM or Email me.)
Cash prizes are awarded. Each franchise (franchise = about 6 gyms) chooses the best 10 transformed people after the 12 weeks. They win a cash prize. Then from the 10, they chose the best 2 to compete against the other franchises in Las Vegas in July 2008 for a cash prize.
I think this is Great and Exciting! My Trainer will help me out so I have no problems. This is going to be fun! If I don't win, there will be other contests but I praying I'll make it all the way! )
A Little Bit About Me
The last few years I have let myself go. I am currently tagged as Morbid Obese because I am over 40% bf. I was always depressed and disgusted with myself. Even through all of this, my Husband loved me for who I am. But that wasn't enough for me anymore.
In the beginning of this year, I scheduled to have Gastro Bypass Surgery. I was desperate and at the time, this was the only thing that can help me. I thought there was something wrong with my body and I had a lot of tests done but I was fine, just fat. When I started getting ready for the surgery, one of the requirements was to start exercising. So I did, but it was half ass but at least I'm in the gym.
In July I met an awesome man who was a Pro Bodybuilder. His story inspired and motivated me, and still does to this day. At 19 he was diagnosed with a Lymph Node Cancer. He survived it and got even with life by becoming a Bodybuilder and winning. So if he can fight cancer, I can fight this damn obesity!
In July I started going to the gym 7 days a week, then 6, then 5. I lost 20 pounds in July and it was GREAT! It was so great that I canceled the surgery (to the relief of my Husband and family)! In August, I decided to train to become a Bodybuilder so that I can complete in 2009. I told my Trainer and he's been kicking my ass ever since. To this date, I have lost about 40 pounds on my own.
My second inspiration is my friend Gina Osterly. Many of you know her because she's all over the fitness magazines and well known in the fitness world! She's an awesome person and she's currently helping me with my aspiring goals. She was one of the very few that I met that understands what's going on with my life and is giving me 100% support!
This contest is just to fuel my Motivation even more. I know the great benefits of being healthy, but what Motivates me everyday?
My Husband.
When I see that "look" in his eyes, like I'm the only person in the world...it's worth every blood, sweat, and tear that I put my body through! And when he wraps his arms completely around me when he hugs me...it makes me so Happy because he hasn't been able to do that in years.
Sorry, I know this is long but I wanted people to understand that this isn't just a contest for me.
This is to prove to myself that I can accomplish anything when I put my mind to it and fight my obesity once and for all.
Thank You for Reading & Following Me in my Fitness Journey.
Jesse

Monday ~ 12.17.07
I did not work out today because I got a head cold (curtesy of my Husband, LOL!). I was debating if I should do 30 minute cardio like last night but at the moment I'm sneezing and having a hard time breathing (a bit congested). So that made up my mind. I'm bummed out because I do enjoy exercising and I wanted to jump start my training as if the contest already started.
I need to get better by this Thursday because we're going to Vegas! YAY! And I'm driving so NO sneezing allowed or I might be in a car accident, LOL! (well, now I think about it...its not as funny...)
So I'm going to take the next few days pretty easy until I can get rid of this damn head cold. I can still work at my job but I'm just miserable the entire day.
If I get better this week while in Vegas, I will be working out at the Gold's Gym over there. I can get a temp pass from my gym, which is Great. The gym at our timeshare sucks ass. At least I'll be comfortable when I workout at Gold's.
Besides, it gave me time tonight to write my Introduction! YAY!
Have a Great Day & Workout Everyone!

Wednesday ~ 12.19.07
I'm finally getting over my head cold! YAY! I'm in that stage where I cough every thing up (I know, ewww!). But I'm so relieved because I HATE being sick and being congested on top of it all.
I felt so much better that I decided to do some cardio today so I went swimming! The pool at the gym is always at the perfect temp so it felt sooo good to do my cardio workout.
This was great because I haven't swam in about 3 months. I was able to do 40 laps almost continuously without stopping too long or getting cramps. I only stopped to turn around or cough. Before I was always out of breath and had to wait about 2 minutes before I could do the next lap (and this was 1 lap!). So I definitely saw a great improvement and progress in my body. And my bathing suit fit really well too, LOL!
I swam for 50 minutes:
10 Laps of Kicking with my Legs and using a foam board for support.
10 Laps Breast Stroke (this definitely worked out my traps!).
10 Laps Walking with my body submerged in the water up to my shoulders.
5 Laps Doggie Paddle without using my legs (to work out my arms more).
5 Laps Doggie Paddle using my arms & legs.
Afterwards I spent 10 minutes in the hot tub. That was heaven! I kept putting my legs, glutes, back and arms in front of the water jets so I would get this mini water massage. Then I just sat there and enjoyed the hot water. I was very relaxed afterwards.
Before I left, I got the temp pass so I can use the Gold's Gym(s) in Vegas! YAY! I'm pretty sure I'll workout tomorrow night, at least some cardio to burn off the food that I know we're going to eat (buffets, here we come! LOL!).
Vegas or Bust Baby!!!

I can't wait to check them out. I think there's 2-3 and I'm thinking of checking all of them out and pick a favorite (I wasn't able to do that last time).
I always wondered if they're themed "Vegas"...I wouldn't be too surprised to see a blackjack table! Well, that's another fun reason to go to the gym every day. Workout then lose your money at the same time, LOL!
I feel GREAT this morning. I slept like a baby because I was so relaxed. Then I woke up so excited for my day! I have to pack and eat breakfast and then its the 6 hour drive to Vegas, YAY! Don't worry, I packed some healthy snacks to help me along the way. I also packed my good ol' oatmeal and supplements. Hey, I may be on vacation but I can't forget my training!
It's funny if you think about it, women always lug around suitcases of clothes and accessories. I'm a simple person. My Husband and I use 1 large suitcase that has both of our clothes and toilette accessories. Then I have a duffel bag with all my snacks, supplements, and water polo ball. For a women, I think I'm a little weird that way but I can't wait to get the body that I want, LOL!
Cheers!

Friday ~ 12.21.07
Sorry for the delay! With me being on vacation, coming back to work and the Christmas...I was really busy!
While on vacation, I was able to workout once in of the Gold's Gym. There are 5 (that's what the phone book said) and I actually saw this by accident. I was shopping in the plaza it was located in. I was very excited so I went in and asked what time they closed. All of the Gold's Gym are open 24 hours a day.
So I went and I had to give them my license along with my temp pass so they can hold on to it. I thought that was odd but whatever.
First impression from the outside, it was big! But when I went inside, it was less desirable. They employees were nice but not as warm as the employees at the gym that I go to. Their "Juice Bar" looked like something from an 80's hospital cafeteria.
Inside the actual gym, it was very big. But it wasn't welcoming either. 20% of the walls were this desert brown color and the rest was this ugly and institutional gray color.
1/3 of the place was separated by wall columns and it held all of the cardio equipment. The rest was a mass of weights and machines. There were no class rooms, or an area that had mats so that you can stretch. 90% of the walls had mirrors.
And there was this one guy (looks about 18) that walks around. His job was to make sure all of the equipment was put back and the place was organized. I stepped away from the leg press so I can stretch and he asked me to put the weights back (in a nice way). I have no problem doing that but there were 10 people total. What, he couldn't wait until I was done stretching? Dumbass.
Overall, I was not impressed with the place and will not be going back. I will check out the other 4 gyms and hope I can find one that is similar to the one that I go to. This place is on the corner of Sahara & Decatur.
I did my workout routine anyway but I was uncomfortable in this place.
Cardio - Treadmill for 25 minutes
Angled Leg Press
3 x 15 @ 360 lbs
3 x 15 @ 450 lbs
4 x 15 @ 180 lbs (Heels Only)
DB Concentration Curls
3 x 15 @ 10 lbs
DB Forearms - Wrists Twists
3 x 20 @ 10 lbs
Cardio - Treadmill for 20 minutes + 5 minute Cool Down
No Stretching since there wasn't a place for it.
Post Workout Meal
Protein Shake with Fat Burner
***I don't remember what's in it but it had a berry flavor. It wasn't that great but I had to drink something because I was getting hungry***
I had a good work out but I couldn't wait to get out of there, LOL!
Overall, I had a great and relaxing vacation with my Husband, really disappointed when we had to come back home!

Thursday ~ 12.27.07
Today's focus was on my Chest.
Pre Workout Meal
4 oz ABB Speed Shot - Purple Frost
***Tasty, I like the grape flavor. I drank it on a semi empty tummy (I wasn't suppose to) but I did not feel any side effects because of it. I did feel more energized by the time to got to the gym.***
Cardo - Treadmill for 25 minutes
DB Chest Press
4 x 15 @ 10lbs
DB Flies
4 x 15 @ 10lbs
Push Ups - Standing at a 45 degree angle and pushing against a bar. Back straight, Abs tight.
3 x 15
Hammer Curls (Forearms)
4 x 20 @ 10lbs
Obliques (machine assist) - Side Crunches
4 x 50 (2 Sets on each side)
Balance Board (Calves)
Both feet on the board - 1 minute
1 leg at a time, leg extended at the side of my body (30 seconds each leg = 1 minute)
1 leg at a time, leg extended behind my body (30 seconds each leg = 1 minute)
Cardio - Treadmill for 20 minutes + 5 minute Cool Down
Stretching
Post Workout Meal
ON 2:1:1 Recovery Powder - Mucho Mango Flavor
10 oz Water
***This was much better! I shook it in a bottle vs a shaker bottle. Really foamy and the taste was good. Tastes like a protein shake with mango.***
Well, the contest is about 2 1/2 weeks away.
I also joined a 2nd contest - YES! A second contest! YAY!
It's very similar to this one. The differences are :
1. A different company.
2. No entry Fee.
3. It starts 1 week later then this contest (01.14.08)
4. I have to buy 3 FULL products from this company and use it within the 12 weeks of the contest (buy 1 box, not 1 bar).
Other than that, everything else is the same. I have to take measurements, pictures, write an essay and I'm responsible for completing this contest.
I'm very excited! I can't for this to start! I'm prepping my body now because when this contest starts, I'll be more focused and strict with my Training and Diet.

Yes I will be posting some pics. I'm still shy about my body, so it's mostly going to be body parts for now. At the end of the contest, I will post before and after full body pictures.
I'm planning on posting videos but I'm having problems locating the battery and the accerssories for my video camera. Once I find it, then yes I will be adding videos.
For my next vacation, I would really LOVE TO GO to the Arnold Classic in Ohio! I'm planning on it but I don't think I will be able to go. I wish they held it in Vegas.

Thanks Buddy! Most of my pics are upper body (for a good reason). Until I lose more weight, it's gonna stay that way for now, LOL!

Friday ~ 12.28.07
I had a great workout but I'm so exhausted!
I focused on my Shoulders. I haven't worked them out the last few weeks because of my rotator cuff injury. It's been 6 weeks so I decided tonight to give it a shot. I'm really sore but I feel fine.
Pre Workout Meal
Muscle Milk Light Chocolate Shake (Protein 20g)
***I was surprised how yummy this was. I tried different flavors from Muscle Milk but this is one of my new favorites. And it as Light, YAY for lower calories, LOL.***
Cardio - Treadmill for 25 minutes
DB Shoulder Press
3 x 15 @ 10lbs
Lateral Raises
1 x 15 @ 5 lbs (This was tough)
Front Raises
1 x 15 @ 5 lbs (This was tough)
Side External Rotator (Rotator Cuffs)
3 x 15 @ 5 lbs
Shoulder Shrugs
3 x 20 @ 10 lbs
Seated Cable Row (Back and I felt it in my biceps)
3 x 15 @ 50 lbs
Push Ups - Standing at a 45 degree angle and pushing against a bar. Back straight, Abs tight.
3 x 15
Cardio - Treadmill for 20 minutes + 5 minutes Cool Down
Stretching
Intro Pilates Class (1 hour)
My Trainer was teaching this class tonight and he asked me to join (it was free for me). I was walking out of the gym after my workout when he stopped me and asked me if I wanted to do it. I said yes because I knew it will be fun with him but now I'm very sore, LOL!
Post Work Out Meal
ABB Pure Pro (Fitness & Recovery Formula) - Grape Flavor
***Very tasty! I love grape flavors and it has no metallic or aspartame aftertaste. I will definitely buy this again.***
Overall, I had a good day today.
I was actually exhausted all day. My co-worker bought me lunch, Chinese food! This was my cheat meal and it was so good. But I was so sleepy afterwards that I ended having to walk around the office parking lot for 15 minutes just to wake up.
Then I spent 3 hours at the gym. Well that was way more than I wanted to. My Husband asked if I was over doing it and I just blamed it on my Trainer, LOL (well, it's true!).
I asked my Trainer if he wanted me to do cardio on my OFF days. He said yes so starting tomorrow I will be doing cardio 7 days a week. I'm not worried or intimidated. I'm excited because I'll probably go swimming tomorrow. Which is good because 3 days straight of weight training has taken its toll on my body. I need some rest so cardio is not such a big deal.

Saturday ~ 12.28.07
Cardio & Core Day
I'm really sore from the last 3 days of weight training. My pecs are the sorest of all. I had my Husband massage them (yeah, I know what your thinking, lol) but it was pretty painful. So I took it easy today. I was only going to do cardio but decided to toss in some core exercises as well. 1 or 2 I learned last night from the Pilates class.
Cardo - Treadmill for 25 minutes (8 incline, 2 - 2.5 mph)
Balance Board
Both feet on the board for 1 minute.
Both feet on the board with a 9 lb bar on my shoulders for 1 minute.
Standing 1 leg at a time, leg extended on my side for 30 seconds each (= 1 minute)
Standing 1 leg at a time, leg extended behind my back for 30 seconds each (= 1 minute)
Squats on the board while holding a foam box (used for Pilates)
3 x 5 - this was tough, trying to balance on the board while squating
Lower Abs
Leg Raises - not your ordinary style, this was Pilates style.
***The legs are raised to eye level with toes pointed. Your suppose to lift your neck and shoulder off the floor as if your doing a crunch but I just kept my head on the foam block. Back is flushed against the floor. You start from the eye level position and do scissors.***
3 x 5 - this was tough, but I was able to do it
V Leg Raises - not your ordinary style, this was Pilates style.
***Same thing as above but you start at eye level and your heels are together and toes pointed out to look like a V. Raise both legs in the air and form a larger V and then come back to starting position with heels touching again.***
3 x 5 - this was tough and advanced, but I was able to do it
Cardio - Treadmill for 20 minutes + 5 minutes Cool Down (8 incline, 2 - 2.5 mph)
Stretching
Post Workout Meal
Protein Shake from the Gold's Gym (40g)
This was a good day. I wanted to go swimming earlier in the day but when evening approached and it was cold outside, I changed my mind. I might go swimming tomorrow, I haven't decided yet. Everything I did was slow and controlled (except cardio) but it worked my body out because I kept sweating the whole time.

Happy New Year!
I hope that everyone had a great New Year's Eve & Day!
I used my last few days and cheated.
My Gold's Gym Contest starts next Tuesday and the Labrada Transformation Contest (my 2nd contest) starts on the 14th.
So I just used the last few days to self indulge.
Starting tomorrow, I will get back in the groove and tighten up my routine and diet. I will begin to start to actually create menu's for 2 weeks at the time. Currently, I just create a bunch of food on Sunday's (whatever I have on hand). I want to make sure that I stick to my diet strictly until the contests ends. I will still eat healthy after the contests, but at least I can ease up on my diet by then.
I have been sampling different shakes and bars and some of them are very good. So now I have snacks that I can enjoy without the guilt, lol. I do snack, but the products that I have sampled recently are much better. If there are any Reps reading this, I would appreciate samples!
I wish everyone Success & Happiness for this New Year!
Remember, opportunity always knocks on our doors but only we can walk through it.
Cheers!

Wednesday ~ 01.02.08
Well, this was my first workout of the year. It was good, but I became very depressed around 5pm. I almost didn't go to the gym but I forced myself to. Even though I feel better (physically), mentally and emotionally, I'm still very sad.
I put all of my negative energy into my workout today, that's why I felt so good. But I guess I didn't produce enough endorphines to overcome my sadness.
Morning Workout ~ 5am
Cardio - Treadmill
45 minutes + 5 minutes Cool Down
8 incline, 2 - 2.5 mph
Lunch Break ~ 1:50pm
Walked Briskly around the office building for about 10 minutes after I ate my lunch.
I felt good and revived, especially since I was getting sleepy.
I think I'll do this more often.
Pre Workout Meal
4 oz ABB Speed Shot - Subzero Red
***This was good, tasted like cherry. I felt the energy by the time I was on the treadmill.***
Evening Workout ~ 7pm
Cardio - Treadmill
25 minutes
8 incline, 2 - 2.8 mph
Chest
Push Ups - Standing at a 45 degree angle and pushing against a bar. Back straight, Abs tight.
3 x 15
Chest Press using cables (sitting down, straight back, abs tight, chest forward)
3 x 15 @ 20 lbs
Chest Press using cables (standing, straight back, abs tight, chest forward)
1 x 15 @ 20 lbs (this was putting too much strain in my shoulders)
2 x 15 @ 15 lbs
I felt my secondary muscles working - delts and biceps
Forearms
Wrists Twists
3 x 20 @ 10 lbs
Back
Lat Pull Downs
3 x 15 @ 50 lbs
Upper Abs
Used Ab Machine to assist me with my crunches
3 x 35 Crunches with feet on the bench
1 x 35 Crunches with feet @ 90 degree angle
1 x 35 Crunches with feet @ 45 degree angle
Cardio - Treadmill
20 minutes + 5 minutes Cool Down
8 incline, 2.1 mph
Stretching
Post Workout Meal
Protein Shake from Gold's Gym (Peanut Butter Dream, YUM!) 40g
So far, not bad for my first workout of the year.
My goal is to do cardio in the mornings because I know that it burns fat faster and I have energy throughout most of the day.
The general manager at Gold's Gym told me a few months ago that he used to cardio 2x a day and lost 100 lbs in about 8 months because his metabolism was consistently running. I'm hoping that this is true and that it can happen to me. So we'll see.

Thursday ~ 01.03.08
Today was a good workout but my delts and tri's were sore from yesterday. So I decided to focus on my legs tonight. But I was silly and didn't have a protein snack before my workout so my muscles fatigued halfway through my workout. I almost started shaking (which means I'm almost depleted of energy) so I slowed down my pace so I can finish my routine.
Pre Workout Meal
4oz ABB Speed Shot (Subzero Red)
Cardio - Treadmill
25 minutes
8 inlcine, 2 - 2.5 mph
Legs
Angled Leg Press
3 x 15 @ 360 lbs
Angled Leg Press
1 x 15 @ 450 lbs
I would have done 2 more sets but this is when my body became fatigued.
Angled Leg Press (Heels only)
3 x 15 @ 180 lbs
Balance Board
Both feet on the board for 1 minute.
Both feet on the board with a 15 lb bar on my shoulders for 1 minute.
Standing 1 leg at a time, leg extended on my side for 30 seconds each (= 1 minute)
Standing 1 leg at a time, leg extended behind my back for 30 seconds each (= 1 minute)
Chest
Push Ups - Standing at a 45 degree angle and pushing against a bar. Back straight, Abs tight.
3 x 15
Forearms
Wrists Twists
3 x 20 @ 10 lbs
Cardio - Treadmill
20 minutes + 5 minutes Cool Down
8 incline, 2 - 2.4 mph
Stretching
Post Workout Meal
Protein Shake from Gold's Gym (Summer Sensation) 40g
After my workout, I signed up for the gyms Bootcamp that starts on Monday. My Trainer and another Trainer will be teaching it. This was also much cheaper. They charge $300 for 5 days a week / 6 weeks. Another place I was looking at was $600 for 5 days / 6 weeks. And my Trainer said that they have nutrition classes that's part of it. So this should be fun. Its also at 6 am! There's no way I'll be skipping it for the amount of money that I have paid for it. And my Trainer is making me turn in my Food Diary (which I'm doing anyway) but its part of the Bootcamp so its MANDATORY. He'll be getting on my ass for EVERYTHING, lol! I was able to get away with it in December but he'll be hunting me down if I don't do it now.
He's basically kicking my ass BIG TIME! Can't wait! I told him that after the Bootcamp, I want to lose 5 inches from my waist. It's up to me but he guarantees it since he knows how much time I spend at the gym. He wants me to kick up my routine so I can get the results that I want. And I know it will be worth it. At the moment, it's a bit intimidating.
I asked him if we're still training...uh, yeah?!
I asked where are we going to fit it in our schedule? He'll make the time.
So I'm just asking for an ass whoopin form him.
But I realize that in 3 months, I would be 1/4 way towards my goal.
I just might be able to compete next year as I have planned. YAY!
The Gold's Gym contest starts on Monday as well. This is where I'll be getting measured, take pics and apparently have a counseling session with one of the Trainers.
CAN'T WAIT...LET'S DO THIS!

Friday ~ 01.04.08
I focused on my shoulders today but I slowed or stop when I felt really sore or tired because of my rotator cuff injury.
Pre Workout Meal
Cliff Bar (Protein 10g)
4 oz ABB Speed Shot (Grape)
Cardio - Treadmill
25 minutes
6 inlcine, 2.7 mph with my hands behind my head
***My Trainer saw me and changed my treadmill routine. He didn't want me to hold on the side rails anymore so he changed my incline and speed. By placing my hands behind my head, it gave me support to balance myself and it made me work harder. My heart rate increased by 30 beats and I was really sweating when I was done.***
Shoulders
DB Shoulder Press
3 x 15 @ 10lbs
Lateral Raises
2 x 15 @ 5lbs (this was tough)
Front Raises
2 x 15 @ 5lbs (this was tough)
Rotator Cuffs
Side External Rotator
3 x 15 @ 2.5lbs
Forearms
Wrists Twists (Foreward & Backward)
3 x 20 @ 10lbs
Chest
Push Ups - Standing at a 45 degree angle and pushing against a bar. Back straight, Abs tight.
3 x 15
Legs
Balance Board
Both feet on the board for 1 minute.
Both feet on the board with a 4 lb medicine ball held above my head @ 30 seconds with each hand (= 1 minute).
Standing 1 leg at a time, leg extended on my side for 30 seconds each (= 1 minute)
Standing 1 leg at a time, leg extended behind my back for 30 seconds each (= 1 minute)
Cardio - Treadmill
20 minutes + 5 minutes Cool Down
6 incline, 2.4 mph with hands behind my head at 5 minute intervals
Stretching
Post Workout Meal
11 oz ABB Pure Pro (Tropical Punch)
***This was tasty, not as bad as I thought.***
I almost did not workout today because it was raining pretty hard. I don't like to drive in the rain. But I was sad and depressed so I went to gym to get rid most of it. It helped, but I'm still sad. One of my friends that works with me got laid off, it sucks and I've been really sad for the past 3 days because of it.

Monday ~ 01.07.08 (Gold's Gym Contest & Bootcamp Starts Today!)
Well today is an exciting day!
Bootcamp
I started off with my Bootcamp at 6am but it was only an introductory day. We had to get our weight, BF, and measurements taken. While we waited, my Trainer talked about nutrition and that took most of the hour. Tomorrow he will teach the class and tonight he told me to get ready and to "Bring it on!" for tomorrow. So I'll be going to bed soon. Pretty much everyone left after the class but I stayed behind and did cardio since we didn't do anything.
Cardio - Treadmill
30 minutes + 5 minutes Cool Down
6 incline, 2.5 mph (Placing hands behind my head at 5 minute intervals)
Contest
Well, all I did was the same thing this morning but I had to take pictures. It's been a long time since I wore shorts that I was very self conscious. They took my weight, BF by using a caliper, measurements and pictures. I was in a sports bra and board shorts (I haven't worn these in years, but now it fits! A bit snug but much better than not be able to fit in it at all, LOL). I asked how many people signed up and they said about 60, so I have some tough competition ahead of me!
Afterwards, I worked out but I'm so exhausted because I only had 4 hours of sleep last night. I was so excited about the Bootcamp that my excitement kept me awake really late.
Evening Workout
I focused on my chest today. I'm a little bit stronger because I can tolerate more Reps than before.
Pre Workout Meal ~ 1.5 hour before and I was still a little full by the time I got to the gym
4oz grilled lemon pepper Chicken
2 hard boiled Eggs
1 whole Avocado
Cardio - Treadmill
15 minutes
6 incline, 2.5 mph
Chest
DB Chest Press
3 x 20 @ 10lbs (20 Reps is a GREAT improvement!)
DB Flies
4 x 10 @ 10lbs
Push Ups - Standing at a 45 degree angle and pushing against a bar. Back straight, Abs tight.
3 x 15
Cable Chest Press (standing, chest out, chin up, leaning forward & abs tight)
1 x 10 @ 20lbs (this was too much weight & it affected my shoulders)
2 x 10 @ 15lbs
Biceps
Concentration Curls
4 x 10 @ 10lbs
Forearms
Hammer Curls
4 x 10 @ 10lbs
Obliques
Machine assist Side Crunches
4 x 25 on each side
Cardio - Treadmill
10 minutes + 5 minutes Cool Down
6 incline, 2.5 mph
No Stretching - I was too exhausted
Post Work Out Meal
11 oz ABB Pure Pro (Tropical Punch)
Tomorrow is another big day and I can't wait!

Wednesday ~ 01.09.08
Morning Workout
Bootcamp - 6am
Cardio - Treadmill
30 minutes + 5 minutes Cool Down
6 incline, 2.5 mph
No Evening Workout
My body is very sore and tired.
As much as I want to go to the gym, my body is screaming for rest so that's what I'm going to do tonight. I want to feel refreshed for tomorrow because my Trainer will be instructing and he forewarned me that he will be intensifying the workout.
Bring it On!

Hey Buddy!
That sounds GREAT! I can't wait to see it!
Can you make a video and email it to me? Or put it on UTube?
That would be so awesome.
I'm a visual person and I like watching videos vs looking at pics (I can download it in my ipod so I have it handy).
If not a video, than a lot of pics. That works too!
My shoulders and traps have been sore these last few days.
I worked them hard the other day and they're slowly recovering because I also do a lot of shoulder work during the Bootcamp in the mornings.
Your wife added me as a friend, YAY!
I love making more friends! She's very nice, she's a Keeper!
