KETTLEBELLS GET ONE or TWO
The best exercise out there in my opinion is the kettlebell. I have been using it for about a good week now. I have had it for 3 or 4 months using it on and off but now I am hooked. It is money well spent. I want to buy more and find out more exercises to use them with. I challenge you to go out and try it. Most places will give your money back if you do not like it. I promise you once you start it is so hard to stop. I use THe Art of Strenght DVD and it is great.
I just want to know who else is using them and what do you think about it. Good luck and have fun.

Depending on what you are doing dumbbells can work just as well. I'm not really sure if having a different center of gravity really does anything or not.

I got kettlebell handles...only did so because I workout in my basement, low ceilings, and it allows me to do some overhead presses. Kettlebells are kind of a new (old) fad, they're alright, but they're not the silverbullet they're being made out to be.

Tell you what, there's nothing like double kettlebell swings. I've never felt that kind of soreness from anything else.

Kettlebell
If you are thinking about buying a kettlebell you should just do it. It will be money well spent. There is so much you can do with a kettlebell.

What exercises can only be done with the kettlebells because my partner ditched my gym for a new one for the sole purpose of kettlebells. When I ask him, he only tells me "It's too hard to explain, but they're essential for formation improvement".

It is hard to explain. You just have to try it out and you will understand. You can do almost everything you can with a dumbbell and more. It is a HIT workout. Try it and you will love it.

Kettlebells are without a doubt the meanest workout tool you can find. I have been training with them for a while and I notice an all over strength that I never had before. I'll usually incorporate a few KB moves into my routine and it makes all the difference. The trap and shoulder development and strength is amazing. Plus I love taking one of my "strong" buddies and watching them attempt a Turkish get up with 64 pounder. The moves require a lot more stability strength and balance. I plan on getting my KB instructor cert. sometimes next year.

What a fad.
Hopefully it'll last unlike other things which make a comeback...

When I was deployed to GTMO with the Coast Guard we all went in a lot worse shape than we left. I've seen some massive gains from people that would do Kettlebells. I trained in the gym while some of my buddies did the bells and while I believe I improved a bit more than they, they still had a lot to be proud [edit] of.
If they weren't so expensive I'd definitely invest in them. I wish gyms had them
