DB Farmers Walk

Excuse my ignorance, but why is it that you have to wait for a signal to rack the weight? Has it always been that way?
You just squatted 900+ lbs., then after that you have to just sit there and wait for a command to rack the weight? Wasn't squatting it enough already? lolMy log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=136366931

Squat (no belt)
475x5 @10
475x4 @10
475x3 @10
A. Bench Press
315x6 @9.5
315x5 @9
315x5 @9
315x5 @9.5
315x5 @10
B. Chins
60x6
60x5
60x5
60x5
60x5
Barbell Curls
45x20
All over the place with squats. Made a couple technical errors on the first set and that drained me. I either need to get my sh*t together or drop the weight a bit.
Benching was absurd. Form wasn't exactly where I wanted it but I felt so strong.
Thanks man.
@8: 2-4 reps left
@9: 1 rep left
@10: max effort
Da fuk.
Rules are rules. You let it slide for one lifter, then another lifter complains when they get called on it.

Yeah I'll be ok
You gotta realize as well that at heavier weights, things can be very dependent on form and that a couple of mistakes can be very costly.
I thought the RTS manual was a good read even if I didn't actually do the program. Definitely learned some stuff. The Cube Method was a good read as well as I liked how he ranted in there and the information was interesting. Will read again soon.
The old archives on T-Nation is what got me going in the first place. Favorite authors are probably Charles Poliquin, Dan John, and even Chad Waterbury.

Deadlifts (conventional, no belt)
545x5 @10
405x10 @8.5
Back Extensions/Sit-ups
BWT x15
BWT x15
BWT x15
Ring Dips/Close-grip Chins
BWT x15
BWT x15
BWT x12

Fantastic day. Bodyweight is 203 right now and I am looking to put on another 5-10 lbs.
Next deadlift workout I have to back off a bit. According to the (weight x reps x 0.0333 + weight) formula my theoretical max is 635 right now lol. First time I go 600+ with conventional I might be repping it!

Awesome deadlift work again.
@Juggernaut, I think the reasoning behind the rack command is to make sure that the lifter has fully completed the lift and is still in control of the weight. If you take a step as soon as you get up or are about to be up then they can't say definitively that you completed the full squat. I've seen people take steps to rack the weight before fully completing a rep on squat.S/B/D: 485/305/500 lbs

Thanks dude. Just trying to squeeze out some linear/noob gains for a bit with somewhat of a 5/3/1 style before jumping into more volume work.
515x5 @8.5-9 last week, 545x5 @10 this week, 575 for reps next week? Or deload? I should probably deload lol.
Besides having to sh*t 3+ times per day it's going great! Whole milk ftw!
Lol if I ever get up to an actual 220, sure.
Thanks fellas.

Thanks Woody. Hopefully within a couple months 545x5 will be a joke.
Didn't you end up performing terribly at your mock meet (relatively, of course lol) after all that?
Probably not going to chase your rep PRs in the >8 range lol. I'd be thrilled with 405x20, just wait a few months when I'm pulling 605x3
Cool beans.
