46lbs Weight loss but now i have hit a plato

On the 28th of August i decided to make that change i needed to get my life back on track and get healthy. I have lost 46lbs now but for the last 4 weeks i have been around the same weight give or take a few pounds.

This has hit me hard and my motivation has just gone out the window. I am now going to try lift myself and find motivation from somewhere to restart my weight loss.

What i was wondering is does anyone have any advise on what i should try? Should i follow everyone else and give the V-Diet a go. Will be hard this close to christmas but i could do it for 14 days half the time and start again after christmas. Is this the way to go??

Completely reintroduce a whole new diet and workout plan. seriously that kicks the **** out of a plateau! Im at that right now i cant get under 194 naturally... so during finals im reintroducing a new meal plan and eating habits.

so when i get back at the gym full time i have both aspects completely re-engineered.

right now im back on the 6 meals a day. cutting out cheese slowly
and coffee's with splenda and harsh on my intake during the day having one cheat sane day in my diet and then all cardio and 2/3 nights of lifting heavy 3/4 body parts as im doing an hour or two of cardio and warmup HIIT.

itll kick my a$$ but u have to do what you gotta do.

get new music.
cardio i listen to like techno kinda remixes and arabic music, and lifting i listen to like metal and disturbed and slipknot and such items.

seriously change everything up for the better.
like the nicotene patch. u got to step 2 now take the step to 3! it requires change but i know you can do IT!

regards
ESA

46 lbs!! Since August 28th!!!

You should be ecstatic at the progress you've made so far. Take into account that normal weight loss occurs at about 1-2 lbs. a week on average and you'll see you've come a long way extremely fast. I've only lost about 22 lbs. since August 1st in comparison and I'm really happy about that. But I do understand how you feel so just realize that this has got to be a change in lifestyle FOREVER - not something temporary. Since you've hit a plateau just change up your routine and tighten up on your diet (and don't buy into the whole fad diet idiocy) if your eating right then your on the right track. Shredd3r is right about the change up in routine and diet. Oh and shredd3r try the Kraft Fat Free shredded cheese seriously it's good mixed in with salads or for making cheese sauces and stuff but don't eat it by itself.

Nine times out of ten, you aren't eating enough.

I'm willing to bet it's that.

Thanks all for your advise. I have been thinking about it alot yesterday and today i am going to go for it between now and christmas by starting at day 1 again...

When i started i was on a FAT & Protein Diet im going to give this one a try again. The gym im in doesn't have cardio equipment and I have a trainer there with me for each session pushing you to do better. This week on of the trainers has just come back from a training course and yeterday changed the way i train completely and today i feel like im back on day one with aching pains in my legs. I love and hate that feeling at the same time.

Here's what i plan to be eating the next 2 to 3 weeks, the last time i was on this i lost 14.5lbs in 12 days.

Breakfast
2 eggs, scrambled, boiled, fried, how ever you like them
Half a 200g full fat cream cheese (philadelphia)
or
2 streaky Rashers

Lunch
Large Salad - Lettuce, Onions, Celery, Tomatoes, Green Peppers,
Sweet Chillis, Strawberries, Cucumber
Tina of Tuna, Turkey Breast or other source of protein.

Dinner
Large Salad - Lettuce, Onions, Celery, Tomatoes, Green Peppers,
Sweet Chillis, Strawberries, Cucumber
Other Half Tub of Philadelphia.
Very large sirlion Steak.

Snack
Protien shake made with double cream

I know this is not a diet to stay on forever but it might help me kick start the weigh loss again.

Shredd3r mentioned HIIT i was thinking as i have a 3 month voucher for another gym i might just use it and get down there for my cardio. After looking into HIIT i was thinking of using the Body for Life Routine on a bike. After which ill try running on a treadmill for a while.

I dont know why i posted here really, just need a kick in the ass really. My motivation was so high untill the last 2 weeks i thought that advise and encouragement from others would help.

Whats also not helping me is im missing my ex and her kid, we broke up just before i started this journey and i miss her now. It's me stopping us getting back together as she just made everything hard work. I didnt want a battle for the rest of my life and she will never change. But there is plenty of more fish in the sea. Just getting me down a little.

Cheered up a little though as i saw someone last night i havent seen in a long time who could not believe how well i was looking and she did tell me that my ex wasnt for me and she knew it a long time ago.

Anyways over the next 2 and a half weeks i have taken the last of my holidays for this year which leaves me after today with the next 4 days off, then im working for another 3 and have 6 days off then 4 more at work and a huge christmas break.
