Day 7

Tomorrow morning will be a little scary b/c I am getting my hydrostatic weighing done, which, ummm quite frankly.....I ABSOLUTELY HATE!!!! It will be the most accurate way for me right now to estimate my bodyfat. Perhaps I can get skinfolds done as well.... just to make sure I have one of the best mornings ever!! Nothing better than kicking off your day by having someone pinch your fat and then throw you in a tank of water and almost drowned you....then tell you how much fat you have. Always kicking me when I'm down...a girl can't catch a break around here. Totally kidding---it has got to be done I guess.

The diet I follow right now basically looks like this. Sometimes I exchange out some of the foods for something similar.

Meal 1 protein pancake made with egg whites/oatmeal/whey/a little baking mix like Bisquick

Meal 2 ground turkey/rice/beans, some kind of fruit

Meal 3 oatmeal/whey/natural PB/nuts mixed with water OR protein shake

Meal 4 grilled chicken or tuna and a veg

Meal 5 spinach salad with chicken and veg

Meal 6 protein shake

This is what I am adhering to right now. Let me just say this....I am really gonna miss Christmas cookies!! They are always throwing themselves at me and calling my name and try to jump into my mouth.....it just isn't right!! And those darn Hershey hugs....with their cute little stripes and pointy tops....damn you, Hershey!!! You aren't gonna bring me down this time!!!

Well I gotta go to Cobra Kai dojo now...then my workout is up in the air from there, depending on if I kill myself in Cobra Kai tonight or give myself a black eye. Man, I can punch really hard

Thumbs up Death to Hershey...

Yes, it's true...Hershey is out to destroy me. At first I thought they were my friend, but in light of recent events (like 15 minutes ago) I have had a change of mind. They are trying to destroy me and everything I stand for. I am going to make some Xmas cookies (mind you, I'm not eating any....soooo annoying) and I make these things that are pretty much the best thing in the world. I don't know what it is, but I just love these things...the Rold Gold round "holiday" pretzels (which by the way, I'm still trying to figure out why a circle is their holiday mascot of a pretzel out of anything in the whole world)...anyways the hershey kiss on the pretzel then you melt them and then push an M&M into it. OMG...yum. Ok, so I discovered it tastes way better with hershey hugs.

So I get my bags of hugs and I decide tonight that I would take all that foil off of them and just throw them in a bowl...kinda easy access for tomorrow when I make them. Yeah. More like easy access for me to grab and handful and scarf them all down. It's a little tougher when you have to take that menace foil off...although Hershey tried to make it easy with that cute little pull-top paper thing. Kudos to you, Hershey. Reminds me of a fortune cookie, except there's no fortune...just "Hershey Hershey Hershey" written all over it..trying to brain wash the world.

Ok, anyways....I didn't eat any. None!! I think I can put that as a BB accomplishment on my profile....can I not? Yes, it was a proud moment...I took a picture to illustrate.

Day 8

Week 1 down...yeehaw. That's what we say here in Nebraska. Got up early to go to my dunking appointment...which I was looking forwared to for obvious reasons. Sarcasm there. Hey--at least I'm alive and my family wasn't shot up at the mall by this 19 year old punk kid. What is going on here? Unbelievable.

On a more positive note--I got my fat pinched today! Woohoo! Then I got in the tank, which went pretty quick this time. If anyone has not had it done, it's pretty intense. I think I did good blowing out all my air, which I attribute to hot yoga. BTW--this bikram yoga is no joke! I know it sounds easy and all, but they don't mess around in there! I went this morning after my dunking since I was already all wet. You sweat like crazy in there, depending on how hard you work and focus. It's a physical practice and a mental discipline...I need discipline dammit....I'm a mess!! lol.

I liked the instructor we had today b/c she really pushes you...literally. Quite honestly I think she just likes to touch me. haha.. Ok Ok kidding. So me, being the queen of "killing two birds with one stone" figured I'd throw some deep conditioner on my hair and get a little conditioning action going on in hot yoga. It was like 20degrees outside and I walk into yoga w/ soaking wet hair and a winter hat on. I looked pretty cool. Well, apparently I looked like a woman name "Rosa" b/c this older guy (barely clothed) walks up to me and says, "Well hello, Rosa." I stared at him for a moment and figured, "hey--why not?" So I respond, "Hello! You're looking good!" Then I walk away. I think he caught on though during class b/c I swear he was casting nasty gazes in my direction everytime we flipped around for a sit up.

Anyhow--back to my fat. It came out to be 19.4%...estimated, but I'll have the same girl test it next time so as long as that number goes down and not up I'll be a'ight. If it is higher, well then I'll kick my own @$$...BUT rest assured that I will not start opening fire with my AK in a crowd of innocent Xmas shoppers...COME ON!

AM TRAINING:
hot yoga 90 min

I took one Cytolean around noon and another around 4pm. I still love the vanilla IntraPro more than the Chocolate I think. They are both good though. I need to work on a "cookie" recipe with whey...there's gotta be a way to do this.

I haven't lost any weight this past week. I feel great though-- except I haven't been getting much sleep. This is due to my work schedule and other obligations...not b/c of the Cytolean...or the meth...I just like to stay up all night and disassemble my electronics GAAAAAWWWWD.

That's no joke! It's freaking hard! But it pushes you to the limit and that's the only way to progress. Awesome...

Day 9

Day 9 already...I had a good leg workout tonight. I know better than to wear gray shirts to the gym....doh!..especially on leg day! Hell-O. Sweat like crazy on leg day. I think maybe I scare some people with how much I sweat...yeah, that's it....it's not b/c I do the Soulja Boy in between sets or throw my hands up in tha air like I just don't care. What? Nevermind. Anyways....I took two scoops of Cytolean on my way to the gym. Yuuuum. I have the blue raspberry and it's fabulous. I bet the orange is good, too. So this was my second leg workout with SP250. This one was better than the last. I was in this good rhythm tonight. My hamstrings were on fire, but I just kept pumping out more reps....was moving quick again between exercises...hopefully I feel this tomorrow...

I took one Cytolean before cardio this morning. I only used the IsoPro once today, after I lifted. I'm starting to become such a beefcake that I can barely fit throught the door...screw you, hippie!!! Cartman right there...and I have nothing against hippies. Peace, man.

AM TRAINING:
a little Cobra Kai

PM TRAINING:
legs/glutes

I bounced around between everything. 3-4 sets of every mini-circuit. It was not National Leg Day again today, so I could hog more equipment tonight. One guy tried to steal my smith machine so he got a karate chop to the jugular....hey, there were two smith machines and the other one was free...HOW DARE HE!??

leg press/ wide stance, then narrow 15-20, 60-75 lbs
lunges on cable 15 X 30-40
bench step-ups/ no weight 15 per leg

smith machine single leg presses (MSFITNESS has a video of this)...this is a good one / 20-30, 25's
cable kickbacks/ 25-35, 20-40 lbs

leg extension/ 20-25, 30-50 lbs
single prone leg curl/ 30-40, 30-45 lbs
treadmill walking lunges/ 15% X100
backwards walking/ 15% about 2min

sauna/stretch

I didn't get much sleep last night on account of "the beast" having his poker buddies over. They were playing cards all night in the basement and smoking like trains, not to mention cussing like sailors and eating like crap...Vinny, the bulldog was really getting on my nerves!! He kept putting down my goals and trying to get me to eat pizza, Twizlers and zebra cakes. He agreed to pose for a picture after a little of my "homemade eggnog" wink, wink.

LOL, my yoga outfit is pretty skimpy but it made yoga much eaiser to do.

I haven't been to yoga for awhile because it's too far away right now, but I want to go back once I am done with school. Then I will (hopefully) have more time.

Day 10

Man?it?s after midnight already?.this is the first chance I?ve had to get away to write, as this character who kept referring to himself as "King Marmoset" has been drunk dialing me ever since 3pm?babbling something about it being his bday yada yada yada. I don?t care if it is his birthday?the guy cannot hold his Mango Tango Margaritas?.and, no, Marmoset?.that does not count as your fruit servings for the day so will you please stop asking me!!!

Ok, now onto me. I had two lovely workouts today. I took two Cytoleans when I got up and then headed out to the gym to do some cardio. I felt energized and full of zest this morning. Time flew by on cardio, which is always a good thing. Note to self: don?t ever wear the "hecho en mexico" tshirt again to the gym?this attracts too much unwanted attention? In my defense I only paid like 12 cents for that badboy at a swap meet ok..hey, come to think of it I have a hoodie that says "Mexico" on it. I think I?m onto something here. Do I subconsciously think I am Mexican? Do I need therapy? Is it normal to wear a sombrero to bed?

AM WORKOUT:

cardio?

what is this double line nonsense? I can?t fix it?.

treadclimber 25min/ eliptical 20min

I got to enjoy my SP250 today and all of it?s blue raspberryness. BTW, there is no such thing as blue raspberries. I asked every local grocery store?.some more than others?ok, mainly one store more than others?a lot more?and I threw a little tantrum when they told me there was no such thing and chucked some braeburn apples in the general direction of the checkers?I didn?t mean to actually hit anyone, but whatever. I did. I?m banned. booooo. Anyways, turns out they really don?t exist.

PM WORKOUT:

chest/back circuit/4 times thru, 15-20 reps

pushups on smith machine bar

seated cable row high pulley/40-50lb

pec-deck single arms/40lb

lat pull/75 lb

pushups on ball

seated row machine/50lb

incline db flyes/15lb

one arm db bentover rows/17.5lb

then I finished off with a few sets of abs, just b/c I felt like it..nothing fancy? 3 sets of bicycle crunches on the ball and some hanging knee raises. I?ll do a better ab workout this weekend

sauna/stretch

This concludes my workout for day 10!!! Yay!!! Hot yoga tomorrow and I can?t wait cuz, like I said before, I need discipline dammit!!! I?m outta control and I need hot yoga, end of story.

Day 11

What the heck is with all those question marks in that last post?? Must be cuz I copied from the blog and pasted it here... This! computer is! possessed! The! world!!! is out! to get! me!!

Today I had the opportunity to get in two workouts...so I did . Basically, I have no life, in a nut shell, thank you. Just kidding. I play bingo at the legion club with the "older ladies" on Friday nights. They really know how to party. I've been super busy lately, and it always seems like I'm more on track when I stay busy.

I took just one Cytolean this morning when I woke up, then headed to the gym to do some cardio. I think I better take two next time like I did yesterday. I felt good about taking the two yesterday..was just seeing if one was much different. I just wasn't really into the cardio this morning. I wanted to stay in my warm bed!!! I was starving by the time I finally got outta the gym, which was strange b/c usually I am not feeling that way when I take the Cytolean. However, there was way too much time between the time I woke up and the time I actually started working out. I didn't eat before the gym. I need to start doing morning cardio at the gym closer to my house instead of driving all the way to my normal one. C'mon, Danica...common sense. Doh!!

AM TRAINING:
cardio/abs

Treadmill incline 15% 20min
alternate walking front/back

Step Mill 10min---it was killing me today for some reason

2-3 sets 15-25:
reverse crunches with ball
hip thrusts
jack knife
ball crunches
side crunches on bench

PM WORKOUT:
hot yoga 90min

I am telling you these yoga people are kuh-raaazee....It was so hot in there today, which was totally fine by me. I'm all about sweating like a freak. Must have been a little hotter b/c the class was so big. About 20 min or so into it, this girl passed out. Now, I have really felt like I was gonna pass out before, but never have. I have also never seen this happen in yoga while I've been there. They have bowls of life savers in the room for people who get low blood sugar. I know I have. I did pass out in the suana last winter. It was scary! I think I got up too fast. So this girl was standing and passes out and the instructor just so happened to be right there so she sort of caught her...straight up "Benny Hinn" style. Maybe she was a little dizzy or something beforehand and was wobbling and the instructor noticed ....either that or that girl was really lucky the instructor happened to be in just the right spot at the right time.

So you would think the class would gasp... or flinch....lose their focus for just a second...something. Nothing. We were doing the tree pose, if that helps with the visual. Now, I admit....my eyes wandered over there for a split second....what can I say...I'm easily distracted. So weak!! So the instructor gently places the girl on the floor and then pops up. "Come on people! We have work to do! This is your workout! We only have 90 minutes! She is ok!!!" Wow. I like this lady. She is all business. The girl was ok...just trying to get attention if you ask me. There was another instructor who "tended to her"....this was also pretty interesting. It was funny b/c in my head all I could picture was this instructor like throwing life savers at people who were passing out and not even bother interupting the flow of the class for a moment. "Eat a life saver kiiiiiiiiiiiiid!!!!" like Mrs Crabtree on Southpark. "How dare you interrupt my claaaaas!!!" No, I am not on drugs.

Day 12

Twelve days down.....horray for me!!! Yeah....Ok, I had the opportunity to fit in two workouts again today. Just got back from lifting. I took the two Cytolean this morning when I woke up...I ain't ascared!! Then I went to the gym closer to me. Good choice. I could always join the Gold's right down the street from me so I could really get to the gym quick, but I'll just continue to do my part contributing to global warming by driving 1/2 way across town....Hey! I rode my bike to the gym all summer what else do you want from me!!!

So I get to the gym this morning and come outta the locker room to see that there was a spinning (cycling) class going on. I love me some spinnin! It had only started like 10 min before so I thought I'd wander on in. The class was packed. I was gazing over the room to see if there were any empty bikes. Then all these people were like, "oh, there's an empty bike over here! Over here!" Whoa....wait a minute. Why are these strangers being so nice to me!!? Were they trying to trick me? I'm a very suspicious person...Anyways so I proceed with caution to this area where supposedly there is this "extra bike." I was happy at first...what a fine bike it was. Then I go to adjust the seat. There is no stupid knob. No bloody, stupid, stinkin knob people!!! Just an ugly screw thing sticking out. This wouldn't have been a problem if I was about 8 feet tall....it was conveniently stuck all the way up as high as it would go.

So I had another moment of rage...I threw my towel on the ground and balled up my fists...."I DON'T HAVE TO TAKE THIS FROM YOU SCRAWNY WEAKLINGS!!!!" Ok, ok...that was really from SouthPark. . looked like another day of the Step Mill for me. But the good news is that the Step Mills are on the outside of the cycling room, which has walls of glass....which meant I could shoot dirty looks in there if I wanted to....

AM WORKOUT:
cardio/abs

step mill 20 min with weight
treadclimber 20 min

sauna/stretch

I felt great after the 2 cytolean...cardio just flew by and I felt like I could go forever. Instead I went home and cleaned my house, scrubbed my floors, did laundry, vacuumed, put up my Xmas decorations finally....oh, and made more cookies THAT I WON'T BE EATING!!! I bet they are good. I took a scoop and a 1/2 of SuperPump on my way to the gym (a different gym) tonight to lift a little. I just can't go to the same gym twice in one day...people may think I'm a little off-balance, which obviously I am not...paleez. I felt like I had so much energy tonight. I did arms and shoulders. I moved quick...one exercise to the next with no rest. It was slow so I could hog more equipment...

PM TRAINING:
bi/tri/shoulders

3-4 sets X 15-25 reps of the following
Incline DB curls
reverse DB flyes
DB lateral raises
DB front raises
Barbell skull crushers on decline bench
preacher curl
upright rows
overhead cable tri extension
standing DB curls
overhead DB tri extension

I don't remember all the weights I used... I also did some drop sets on some exercises like the standing DB curls and the DB lateral raises. I use a weight that is hard for me to get the last few reps.
Oh, and apparently I'm not the only one going to two different gyms today. I saw this guy at the gym tonight who was also at the other gym this morning...man, what a weirdo!!! And...he was in the spinning class this morning. He wasn't one of the trickers though...so I let him slide by me w/o giving him a knuckle sandwich.

I've decided I'm taking tomorrow off seeming how I'll be busy all day anyways. No more double workouts for me this week except Thursday maybe...if I'm lucky. Too bad I don't get paid for working out...then I'd have it made.

Day 13

Yeah, yeah...so I said I wasn't doing any working out today. I lie. It's what I do. I got up extra early this morning to fit in some cardio before I started my day. I was gonna take the day off, but am taking it off tomorrow instead b/c I got more sleep last night than I will get tonight.....always a method to my madness.

Two Cytoleans when I got up again. Then off to the gym...about 10 degrees this morning. buuuuurrrrr. So much harder to go when it's so cold.

AM TRAINING
cardio

eliptical trainer 35 min
stretch

I am not the biggest fan of the eliptical b/c, well it's boring. I was getting into after a little while this morning though...jamming out to my ipod, of course. I was almost done and then here comes Toni Braxton....I get so high...whatever that song is called. Oh, yeah...I forgot all about this song!!...so I cranked up the incline all the way and put a bunch of resistance on so I could keep up with the beat...which is really slow. Kind of a nice break from my usual gangsta rap.. haha. "you make my temperature riiiiiise oh baby baby baby baaaaby.....ooooh ahhhh oohhh ahh"---yeah, don't sing that out loud when you have people next to you who aren't wearing headphones...unless you want them to leave. Whatever...I didn't want that guy next to me anyways...he was soooo boring.

I had the same experience on the elliptical the other day except instead of Toni Braxton the song was.......wait for it.....Highway to the Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins. Yes, that's right, good ol' Kenny Loggins.

Good job on the log, keep up the good work!

I know, that song is like an infection. Even mere mention of its name gets it stuck in your head.

Day 14

Today really was an off day. The past two weeks have flown by!! I can't wait to workout tomorrow---I miss my blue raspberry ice concoction...it's lovely.

I've decided I'm gonna buy a toboggan tomorrow. Well, I may steal the neighbor kid's...I haven't decided yet..depends on how quick I'm moving at the time. I'm gonna take advantage of this snow and find me a big, massive hill and go tobogganing (?). It's such a good workout running back up the hill in the snow. I used to go in high school every winter. Oh, those were the days...Put on the ugliest, most hideous, non-matching "whatever we could find" clothes. I felt like that little kid on A Christmas Story..."I can't move my arms!!! Bahhhh! I have to go to the bathroom!!!"

Perhaps I can strap some gear on "the beast" and have him pull me around town while I'm at it. Together, the beast and I will help put a stop to this global warming nonsense!!

Don't know what I'm going to do for a workout yet tomorrow. I'm gonna try to go to spinning Wed or Thurs...and they better not pull that "oh, there's a bike over here!" over-excited BS card with me again....I'm onto these evil spinners now

Day 15

This maybe a long one....I have a lot to say!! Unusual, I know. Let's see...I took two Cytoleans in preparation for my cardio. I was not feeling like doing it today. I just wasn't. I was trying to talk myself out of it. I've been wanting to check out this pottery place kinda by my house b/c it was the only place I could find that would let me come in to use their potter's wheel, which I haven't done since high school. So before I go to the gym I call them to see when I could come in...hoping they would say, "oh, you can come in now if you want." I was trying to get out of cardio, you see. Anyways, they were really picky and specific about when I had to come in. Friday at 1pm. Like I have time to work around YOUR schedule, lady!! So I found another place downtown, which is not close to my house at all. They were cool. I could come in anytime I wanted and they wouldn't make me wait 2 wks for my pot to dry before they fired it....I'm a little impatient I guess. Plus, it's $50 and you could come in everyday for a month, no appointment, no signing up for a class. The othere place was gonna charge me $20/hour. Smokin crack or something. Anyways, I was really tempted to go down there this morning, but ***siiiigh*** I went to do my cardio.

Now, I've decided that the world does not want me to go to spinning. At least the people at this gym. I called them late last night cuz I wasn't at home and couldn't get online to see the schedule. I asked the dude working the front desk what time the spinning classes were today. 6am and 6pm. "What? No noon class anymore?" "Nope." "OK, thank you...you have been a very helpful young man." "You wanna hook up?" "Uhh, no." Haa. kidding. Ok, so I get to the gym at about 12:45 and I'm in the locker room, minding my own business as usual. And I see these women with cycling shoes on. Wait a minute...what is going on!! That guy lied to me!! So I asked this woman if she went to spinning (just to make sure before I go find this front desk guy and kick him in the shins for not knowing how to read a schedule). She informed me she was going to, but there were no bikes left....which brings me to another point: WTF!!! It's a Wed afternoon....not a good sign of things to come 'round New Year time when there are gonna be even more people. Hey! I know your pain, lady....at least they didn't all welcome her with open arms and smiling faces only to lead her to a bike with no handle bars or something. So I opted for the Step Mill again. 30 min. It was all I could handle, really cuz this guy comes up out of nowhere and gets on the one right next to me. There are 9 other empty step mills. He smelled really bad. I had to go.

I was so excited to take my SuperPump 250 tonight and go workout. I was going to meet a friend to workout...which I rarely ever do...I work better alone. So, I don't know where all my stupid sports bras go, but something is going on here. I have like 38 of them, but surprisingly enough I conveniently had them all in the washer at the same time...and even more convenient...I forgot to put my clothes in the dryer so I didn't have enough time to dry anything before I went to meet my friend to workout. Ok, fine. I'll stop at the store and buy a stupid sports bra. So I stop on my way and get one. I get to the gym. I warmup. No workout partner so far. Ok I start lifting...no workout partner. I lift for about an hour....anyways, I was stood up. Not to mention, I drove completely out of my way to meet this person at a totally different gym than I ever even go to. And I had to stop to buy a sports bra. I should have just worn a wet one out of the washer!! Arrrr. Ok, so I had a good workout anyways. I did chest / back and they had a bunch of different machines that I've never used. It was worth it, I guess.

Ok, so I leave the gym and go to a Walmart nearby. I despise Walmart for lots of reasons, but it was late and I needed a few things. Mainly a toboggan...BTW, excuse me..it was brought to my attention that it was not a toboggan....thank you to the "toboggan expert" that I ran into along the way. Whatever! I'm calling it a toboggan. It's really like a plastic sled slider thinger...technical name. So I put the "toboggan" in my cart. I'm pushing the cart. I pass by a lovely snow boot display. I need some snow boots to go romp around in, so I stop. I am looking at these boots that I thought were snow boots. They were not the prettiest, but I'm just gonna walk the beast in them and go "tobogganing" so whatever. I'm bending over and putting one on. I see this person out of my peripherals coming down the aisle. I see the person stop....right by me. For GAWD'S sake...just ignore them. Man, I attract some weird people...gotta hand it to myself there. It is Walmart, I remind myself...just look down. Just look down. So I'm tying the boot thing. I stand up. I am met by this huge, smiling head staring at me. I can see this dude's lips moving. Oh, haaa...I had my ipod on....so I couldn't hear what he was saying. "What?" I asked. I don't even know why I said that cuz I still had my ipod on. Lips moving. Long sigh. I pull off my glove, take out my ipod, push pause...it was a huge production. "What? " I ask again. Oh, then huge, smiling head guy was a little irritated that I hadn't heard what he said the first two times. " I saaaaaid....that boot you are trying on doesn't match your green hat, " he says pointing at my hat. Is this guy serious? "Ummm, yeah. YOu are right." I don't even know why I said anything. I should have just kept saying "what? what?" lol. Ok, so then he wanted to know who I was shopping for...mind you, I have one giant, blue toboggan thing and windshield wipers in my entire cart...in plain site. Hmmmm....my grandma...what kinda stupid question is that. Then he said some weird comment about how green must be my favorite color b/c I had a green hat, green coat and ...oh, my ipod was even green...how observant of him. I didn't say anything. I would like to say I was deep in though about something important, but all I was thinking was, "OMG...he's right. I even have a green freaking ipod. Am I some kinda freak? The Mexico hoodie is even green. Bright green. I have green shoes...." Good thing I didn't have the green shoes on...the stanger may have been totally freaked out by that. There was a few awkward moments of silence, then he walked away.

Maybe he was planning on robbing me then thought twice after he decided I was a crazy "green obsessed monster" girl who couldn't even pick out boots that match. It was about that time this worker showed up out of nowhere and asked if I needed any help....this is unheard of at Walmart...so I was really freaking out by this time. She informed me that those were not snow boots and the only snow boots they had were the ones on the other side. She would be referring to the butt-ugly, plain, boring, black, bulky, blaaah boots....no, thanks. Pass on the boots. On the bright side...the toboggan was only like $8.82 and not the $18.26 or whatever weird price it said it was. Heeehe. Suckers.

WORKOUT NUMERO UNO (five years of spanish, thank you very much)
cardio

Step Mill 30 min

WORKOUT NUMERO DOS (that's as high as I go..."
back/chest/abs

4 sets of this circuit, 15-20 reps:

DB single arm rows
pushups
Incline DB flyes
Dorsi flexor machine
Rotary upper back
Rotary chest
Rotary Lat Pull
Reverse Lat Pull
Decline sit ups

That was a good workout, considering I don't really love doing chest or back. I've never done a lot of these machines. It felt good to get a little different angles. I'm thinking about going to this gym just to do back/chest from now on...not sure yet. I'm kinda crazy like that

WOW

Day 15 was quite eventful I must say and good for you going to the gym instead of the pottery place.

And yes, you attract weirdos (that's why I'm here )

Day 16

Today I finally got to go to spinning. Thank God....I was really getting worked up over that whole situation. It was an ok class...an "endurance" class....ok, so basically we did almost the same thing the whole time, which was kinda boring. The music WAS NOT HELPING!!! It was some kinda weird disco something...I don't even know what it was...it was not doing it for me, I know that. I stayed focused though...mainly staring at my triceps in the mirror!! Ha! They were kinda popping out today. I would really like to lean my upper arms out. I don't know if it's happening. Hopefully when I take some more pics I'll be able to tell.

This lady almost passed out today in spinning...or something. I don't know what her deal was. She had been there before, but she got off her bike about 1/2 way through and I heard this kinda "ahhh!" high pitched short little scream from behind me. I thought someone fell off their bike so I looked back and this lady had gotten off and was being all dramatic about how hard she was working and how she just had to leave....what? Watching her wave her arms around in the air and talk about how "girl! I just got to go! I can't move my legs no mo!" was probably more entertaining than if she had fallen off the bike. Perhaps she just couldn't take the disco music anymore...

I took one cytolean when I got up. I didn't do cardio right away. Had places to be and I wanted to go to the noon spin class. So about 3 hours later I took one more cytolean. Then went to spinning. I definitely prefer taking two.
TRAINING #1:
cardio
spinning 45 min

I had legs to do tonight. Horray! I took my SP 250, two scoops on my way to the gym. I don't really feel any different right away. It's not until I start getting into my workout that I feel extremely focused and strong. I get into a good rythym and just knock out set after set. Like a machine! Yep, that's me...MACHINE!!!

Had such an awesome leg workout tonight. Changed up my order and exercises a little. I mainly did two exercises at a time, back to back. It's always hard to do it b/c people "steal" your machines, but then I improvise a little.

PM TRAINING #2:
legs!
4 sets of each group--high reps--
-smith machine single leg press (LOVE THESE) 35's X 20-30
-smith machine lunges 10's X 15-20 (light, but popped up and did these right after the presses...burn)

-bench step-ups holding 10lb in each hand X 15-20 per leg
-leg curls on ball X 15

-single lunges on bosu ball with back leg on bence
-single lunges on bosu ball with back leg on ground

-prone leg curl 40-50 lb X 20-25
-run TM incline 12% for 1 min...I believe this is what kicked my @$$

-leg extension drop set starting with 60lb X 20
-rotary calf 45 X 20-25

I think it was that damn incline running that did me in.... haven't done that in awhile....kills after ham curl...but feels good... I heart pain

You must attend some pretty serious workout classes....there's people passing out all over the place!

I feel your pain on the horrible music at spinning class. The last one I took was 45 minutes of techno music. To add to the mood, apparently, they turned off the regular lights and flipped on the black lights. I guess the theory is if you think you're at a rave, you'll forget about the searing hot burning sensation in your quads. If that was the goal, it didn't work for me.

By the way, your leg workout looks pretty intense! Nice work!
