2x30-40 min workouts per day?
Hello!
I'm wondering if 2x30 min workouts are better than 1, 1h workout for fat loss purposes and for muscle growth.
Anybody?

You are over-analyzing it. Do one hour per day and you'll be fine.

I read an article that said if you break up your 1hr work out into 2 thirty minute sessions that you will burn more fat. It was in an RX fitness magazine. I will see if i can find some info online for you

The article you are referring to was regarding aerobic exercise.
It was "30 min. - 20 min. rest - 30 min." VS. 60 min.
The "30 min. - 20 min. rest - 30 min." protocol burned more fat.

I do what I have time for, and that works for me. If I have a full hour, I do it once a day. If I don't I split it up. I can't tell much difference either way. It's just getting it in.

Yeah, I thought that might be it, but wasn't sure. Good one.

Yes,this is ideal as it increases metabolic rate and nutrient partitioning on a more effective scale. If this split is taken,do the cardio first thing in the morning (drink a PRO shake as breakfast beforehand) for the longer lasting bump to resting metabolic rate and lift weights in the evening.

You're best off doing it all at once if you can. Unless you have motivation and energy coming out of your ears as well as have good recovery abilities - the later session will probably not be as effective or might even be skipped altogether. Plus you can't eat the same after a 30 minute session either.
That said, doing 2 sessions does have its benefits, but the negatives will usually vastly outweigh the positives for most people not in competitive athletics.
