I thought about not entering for consideration after seeing that the thread was on the 3rd page already. But I figure, why not. My pics are on bodyspace, and I have a very boring desk job lol. I work as a digital phone provisioner for Time Warner Cable in Dallas, TX. But I'm at the gym 5 days a week and enjoy the feel of a good workout. Thanks in advance for any consideration.

My name is Will Sarty (ARMBENDER) and I am 27 years old. I am currently employed with the Canadian Forces Submarine Division and along with my occupation, I am a professional Arm Wrestler for Team Canada. Dueto my profession, physical fitness is of extreme importance, not only for my annual fitness test but for my deployment readiness.
My Armwrestling takes a major role in my life which I dedicate the majority of my training to. My training regime consists of 7 days a week of strength training, strategic training, mental readiness, and overall core strength. I have been fortunate enough in my carear to accomplish 6 National Titles, 2 Atlantic Canadian Titles, 5 Provincial Titles, and a 4th place finish at the World Championships in South Africa.
I joined BodyBuilding.com a few years ago with most of my interest in the Supplements Forums. Since joining the BodySpace section, my training and general knowledge of sport specific training has jumped to a significate level. This forum allows me to track the performance of my weight due to the 2 times i need to diet each year. This allows me to safely do it by comparing my stats from the previous year and know how my progress is going. My lifts in order to develop a better routine for each competition, the picture section and goals section allow me to bring up my motivation and intensity of my workout routines. While deployed in Afghanistan this year, I would not have been able to win my last National title due to no practicing. The BodySpace allowed my to study my opponents in the videos section and help me win my 6th National Title. My training schedule was to the max and my mental awareness was top notch. Which I owe all to BodyBuilding.com
One of the biggest benifits I get out of the BodySpace, is sport awareness. The professionalism, training intensity, dedication and comrodery of Arm Wrestling is not well known across the World but is slowly growing. This year at the World Championships in Bulgaria, there were 1600 competitors, a significant jump from last years in England. The BodySpace allows people to see this progress and understand that it is a Professional Sport. I have recieved many personal messages along with answering many threads concerning this sport. The best part is that the majority of people inquiring are Teenagers. This group of people arethe future of our sport. Its great that I am able to spread my knowledge to people across the World while I am either tied up in the office or Deployed overseas away from my family.
This website is now the 1st thing I look at in the morning and the last thing I look at before bed.
Thanks BodyBuilding.com!!

I am so in. Just six years ago I just wanted to lose weight and inches from around my waist. I used BB.com to the best of my ability. I order product though the site, I used the workouts to get me ready for my first show that they posted on this site, and I even pick my sanction and show though this site. Bottom line - I am a product of Bodybuilding.com.

not sure if you want any highschool students but i started lifting when i was 15 weighing 120 lbs and 4 years later im 180(now im 171 for wrestling) and when i started lifting my bench was 115 lbs and now my max is 300. being a growing teenager has definatly helped but it has also taken a lot of time and dedication in the gym to get to where i am now considering i subluxated my shoulder a year ago(2 months recovery) and i had surgery on both of my ankles this last summer(6 weeks in wheelchair and 6 weeks rehab after that). BB.com has been a huge help for me i have gotten all of my lifting programs off here, order my supps off hear, and am constantly learning new stuff from both the articles and off the the forum. thanks for this opportunity
P.S. i can get some better pics if you want

average joe
I am a state corrections officer, married with two boys (6 and 2). I work a 6am to 2pm shift; which means I leave at 5am and get home at 3pm. I am able to take my boys to the gym's day care mon-thurs. I do my best to get 5 days per week. When I can't get to the gym I work out at home using bodyweight exercises (many came from this site).
After being stuck in a rut for about 6 months, I found a routine on bb.com that, at first, seemed a bit strange to me, but I tried it and it worked and I've been gaining strength and size ever since (I am 5'9" 174 now). I was also hooked on the site after that.
(Sorry, these are cell phone pics)

"yes, you can build great muscles over 55+"
Last February I could hardly cross the street from my office to my classroom building; the walk from the university parking lot to my office became a major difficulty just managing the arthritic pain in my knee. I remember telling myself: "This can't be happening to me!" An X-ray confirmed that I had osteo-arthritis, and my physician suggested I consider a knee replacement. This was a major wake up call for me. I already had visions of myself using a walker (you know that assistive device on wheels) and now I faced the prospect of a titanium knee replacement--neither alternative was appealing to me. I asked for some non-surgical options, which included exercise, diet (weight loss), and some supplements (Glucosamine Sulfate and Fish Oil). I was advised to stop using the treadmill by a number of friends and colleagues in our Kinesiology Department at my university, which I did, and I began using the eliptical machine instead for cardio. I wanted to lift more seriously and googled "bodybuilding" and discovered Bodybuilding.com. My life has literally turned around. The encouragement and support, as well as inspiration I get from this site is incredible. I think a lot of guys and gals over 55 give up on their physical development and the results are progressive physical decline. I'd like my age-mates to know that, "yes, you can build great muscles over 55+," and my experience at Bodybuilding.com is a testimony to this, judging from the consistently positive feedback I receive-- awesome muscle development is possible. So, I'd be happy to tell this story and encourage folks to consider the possibility of personal transformation. Need anything else?

I am 20 years old and a full-time student at University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I have been working out for 4 years now, and competing for two. I learned most of the information I needed to succeed in bodybuilding.com articles (along with Arnold's books.).
Thanks.

First, thanks BB.com for doing this. Recently, I've been working my way towards 189 and bodybuilding.com has played an integral part in my success. As one of the oldest forum members here (in join date!), I've seen bodybuilding.com transform into the supplement warehouse and bodybuilding resource giant it is today. Its been great growing with the company and website and helping people that were once in my shoes.
Here's my story:
I'm glad to be able to post these pictures with confidence. For a detailed background on myself, please read my profile. For a cliffs version, I was an athlete, got hurt, played video too much, realized I was a mess, and am currently working towards contest shape. I plan to enter an amateur natural contest within the next 6 months at a weight of around 189. Most of my results have been over the past 2 months. I started training seriously, got my diet in check, and slowed down on drinking during thurs-saturday. I also have a full time job as an account manager with a major computer hardware and software reseller. While this makes training difficult, I love hitting the gym after a hard days work and seeing the reactions of my coworkers when I am eating odd things throughout the day.
Diet: I currently eat anywhere between 5-8 times a day. I use a customized and convenient version of the cut diet. I cycle high, medium, and low carb days. I try to eat carbs in the morning and tend to stay away from them at night.
Supplements: Since my goal was weight loss, I have been focusing on keeping the muscle I have while shedding fat. I currently am taking a Multi, Fish/Flax and ON whey. I took Green Mag and Jungle Warfare when I was really heavy but never really saw results and that was over 6 months ago.
Training: I use a 4-day training program. Chest/Tris, Back/Biceps, Shoulders/Forearms/Traps, Legs, rest, repeat.
I customized this program as well, but the core workouts can be found here: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/work...rcount=30&s2r=
I try to do cardio in the morning on an empty stomach. I currently do a 30 minute cardio session of either biking, eliptical, or running after my workout at night.
Goals:
Get to 6-8% BF.
Maintain muscle mass and add once fat loss goal is met.
Avoid any lose skin and strech marks.
Run under a 6:00 Mile, 21:00 3-mile.
Compete in a natural competition within 6 months.
Get below 189 for competition.
Bench press twice my bodyweight and tape it for my future son(s)!
Maintain a livable, healthy lifestyle and help as many people as possible.
Feel free to ask any questions, but I ask you to keep them in here instead of PMs so they can be helpful to others. I still have a long ways to go, but I am a lot happier than I was before and feel great.
Before, 275 lbs.:
2-13-07
"relaxed," lol.
Current, 216 lbs.:
11-16-07
More detailed pics are in my bodyspace. I really enjoy updating my bodyspace with progress and perhaps the best thing is making more difficult goals to reach. I am currently 214 and am so excited about how I will look once I hit 189. I plan to compete by March and would love to inspire many bodybuilders - novice to expert - that results can be achieved even for people with full-time office jobs!
Regards,

I'd be very interested. I'm an artist. I work doing art reproduction and graphic design. I am not a trainer nor have I ever been trained. I have never had a job in the fitness industry either, but it is always something I thought about. I work 5 days a week and workout after an 8 hour day. If I cant make it after work I go before work early in the morning. I have never used steroids and I am 100 percent natural. I am a real person who lives a real lifestyle and doesn't owe my success to drugs. I owe it to hard work, commitment, and a serious drive.
I haven't overcome a serious disease (besides asthma), I wasn't overweight and lost a ton of weight, I am not a fanatic or obsessed with my body where it suffocates my life, and I am not someone who will chance their health by using steroids to get what I want - I am just a guy who has looked to fitness and bodybuidling his whole life as a wonderful and positive outlet. It has taught me focus and commitment, educated me on my body and diet, and overall improved my life outide of the gym in everthing I do. My passion is my drive and that has always been enough for me get what I want out of this great sport. Just like everything else, there is an ugly side and a good side in bodybuilding and I think I represent how good the good side can be. Bodybuilding and fitness are a huge part of my life and always will be. It would be great to represent bodybuilding.com. I hope to hear from you guys.

I am a school teacher to many Wife to one and Mother to two beautiful girls who started training for my first Figure Competition in March at a weight of 170 lbs. I decided to do it to get healthy and get rid of all the baby weight I was carrying from being on bed-rest for three months and on top of that having a C-section. After My second baby I was 190 lbs. in August of 2006.
I am was an astonishing 116 lbs for my first two figure shows. I went from just wanting to get on stage to becoming a serious contender. There have been a few publications that are talking to me about doing a story on my transformation.
I would love to inspire others just because I have been through so much in the last five years. I have a child that was born four months premature and this child has had over 25 surgeries and procedures, and almost died on Christmas day 2001. To this day we still have nurses in our house for 16 hours a day. This is to ensure Kayla's health and safety.
During this past five years I would train but never consistently work out.
Last February I put my foot down and decided if I wanted to live long and have a productive life I was going to have to lose the weight. So I joined Body space and was able to write and Track all of my gains, pics, accomplishments, and read many articles about training and supplementation. What I loved most was shareing my story and reading about other peoples success all of these things motivated me so much.
The true motivation was going to be getting onstage half naked in front of 1000 people. That?s why I decided to do a National qualifier - the Golds Classic in New Jersey.
As of now I have competed at the Golds Classic and East Coast Bodybuilding and Figure Championships where I qualified as a National Level competitor. I am going on to do Arnold Schwarzenegger?s amateur show in Feb (this is one of, if not the biggest, bodybuilding/fitness shows in the world).
I have trained so hard to stay in shape my workouts look like this 1 hour of cardio in the morning. back to the gym at 4:30 p.m. and do 188 reps in a row (dumbbells) at 80% of my max full body. I get a 90 second break and then I?m back at it two more times, then another 30-45 minutes of cardio.
I just hope you get a chance to check out my progress I believe you will enjoy it because I have truly been kicking my own but. I just got news, MHP a huge nutrition company is interested in putting me in some transformation ads and a commercial.
Here is a link to a Youtube before and after slide show of Me: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=uhIfySS0EE0

loll
loll i wana try this im intrested haha, i wouldnt say i hav the best body but...
i fink i can reach out to bodybuildings UK teens who are in full time further education (A levels and uni)
my story goes abit like this. ahh yes the fat kid in the family getting teased by his brothers story :P. i was a tubbyy kid and during secondary school/ high school for americans i think it is, i wasnt popular at all. i was either known for the wrong reasons or not known at all haha. my school was massive around 2,000 students and had great affiliation with sports i wasnt one of them.. although did play in the cricket team a few times. i wasnt realy athletic but i tried me best. one day i saw a picture of my grandfather (he pased away before i met him) he was HUGEE :| and my grandma and mother always use to say how i was like him. thats when i wanted 2 change, i hated my body and the way i looked at hated being a nobody. soo one day i was invited to come to the school gym. and bang! i felt the pumpp... THE PUMPPP! i was hooked. went 3 times a week and went on a strict diet. lost a stonee in a few weeks. i just loved the pain, the feeling, the adrenaline.
as being not that popular i was picked on sometimes, a few names here and there wasnt too bad i guess but what was great was the way they all fell silent. one day i went to the school gym with my PE class who where all a part of a school team for different sports. and i took me shirt of and did my sets on bench press and flys. little that i knew people where looking at me.. the faces that had made fun of me stared and i remember one of them saying " what the hell happend to you " as his face lit up in shock. ahh how i smiled :P people began to reconize me in school. all the so called "cool" folk where coming to me for advice on training. this was another great experiance for me just seeing someone listen to you and do what you told them makes me feel great. through my bodybuilding i found respect in my school life and became socailly accepted which it could do for others. Training becomes hard when study is in the way. i try exercising everyday doing one muscle group each day. its very difficult but its you life, if you can organize urself to create a diet and training programme . motivate urself forr that last rep of the set, why cant you connect what you learn in bodybuilding to life? in your studies and hobbies! if ur not popular in school get up and do something about it. make something of yourself! use the haters to get that fire burning. Everyperson has their own story, i aint a hero! i didnt save a child from a burning building im just an average teen living in london! and theres millions of us! lol i hope all those who feeling low about themselves discover bodybuilding/training and realise what it can offer you!
lol sorry about the grammar mistakes i hope its enough and i hope i get selected. i have pictures of me on me bodyblog and heres a picture of me grandad, he was a wrestler. please feel free to ask any questions! thank you for the chance to express my feelings and story!

I'll be attending post highschool education in january!
I can go into much greater detail, but I'll save that for the next step if you like what you see mr. developer

Our marketing dept told me to let everyone know that this isn't just a one-time ad. This particular ad campaign will be on-going throughout the next year. So if you're not in magazine shape yet, but will be in 6 months, then please let us know when you're ready!
We'll be featuring about 3 new ads per month, so there is ample opportunity for tons of people to be featured! We'll be picking a female member tomorrow for the next ad - you could be next!
