I agree. I hate it when people who workout and lift just to look better and increase their performance start getting soo nitpicky with their food that it makes it look like they have a show coming up...

The schedule sounds pretty good. I think its a good idea you use full body workouts 3x week instead of splits because if you train hard enough, the full body workouts give u great fat burning effect...
