Bigger chest

Weighted dips have worked well for me,but it also depends on your insertion points and origins of muscle.Work with what you have been blessed with.

bench press barbell vs dumbbell press

I prefer db presses because i can get a greater range of motion and each side works independently along with the smaller stabilizer muscles.Alot of times with the barbell the stronger side takes over...

If you had one angle to work with

I prefer about a 30 degree incline,because i can limit to much shoulder involvement and focus on the pecs more with dumbbells of course.

i agree with Steven08 soreness doesn't mean you had a good workout,you may have actually have damaged the muscle fibers to severly or your body may be getting use to a movement it's no accustomed to....
