x2

The non-lifting troublemakers around here make me go elsewhere. Which is a shame, as I'm interested in what the lifters have to say. 'hope it gets cleaned up.

My bad

Bane, I should probably run a search before I run off at the mouth. I guess I was more interested in the notion of a natural anti-catabolic state in seasoned trainees. That might also be an old...

Question Review article on HMB

I just read a review article that included a section on Beta-Hydroxy Beta-Methylbutyrate supplementation (Clin Sports Med 24 (2005); 719-738). I'm curious to hear what y'all think. It's my...

Thanks Arl

Holy $hit. Now I feel guilty for whining. Your reconstruction was exponentially more complicated than my own but there are some definite similarities. More importantly, it gives me hope for...

Again, exactly

[QUOTE=Arlecchino;100527601]

What I had to do to avoid this at first was utilize minimal resistance until I developed the motor skills necessary to keep the bar in its proper path. After some...

Exactly

That was my issue. I affixed the bands so that the bar was pulled more toward my head. I made the mistake of thinking I'd be better hitting the lower pecs on decline...but I failed to take into...

Question That's it

I think this is where I got into trouble...the rhythm/speed. For some reason, although the resistance in both is progressive, chains have never given me a problem either with max effort or higher-rep...

Great idea

It appears we have this in common. Although I prefer chains alone on squats, I haven't had any problems using bands (knock on wood). I'll bring out the board & consider some floor work. Thanks a lot!...

Nice!

Thanks for sharing your experience...and I'm afraid you're right. Once I get the cuff warmed up & well-lubed, the pain is greatly diminished. This was an excellent video but I'm confused regarding...

Thumbs up Thanks in advance

Thank you for all the input! I use an aircast ice water circulator to ice the sucker into submission but those posterior rotator cuff muscles are so deep and well-insulated that I'm not sure I'm...

Band training re-injures shoulder. HELP!!!!

I recently had a flare-up of a shoulder injury after incorporating bands into an old movement. I'm curious is anyone else has experienced something similar. Here's the history: I posteriorly...

Aussie Docs Poo Poo Tribulus

I've always at-least-imagined experiencing decent results with Tribulus Terrestris supplementation purely in terms of strength. I just read an article (J. Strength Cond. Res. 2007 May; 21(2):348-53)...

Thumbs up Westside

I think they could almost get credit for inventing chains and bands. They use many unorthodox techniques and their numbers speak for themselves. There are quite a few youtube clips worth checking out.

DJH, I'm more of a chain guy but use bands in a limited capacity. There's no dick about it...you use them in any way you want to! You're absolutely right, bands have the advantage of allowing you to...
