In canada, or alberta at least you're forced to just do math 10/20/30 in high school and 31 if you want (calc 1 i think) but that's the highest it goes in high...

sinx + sinx/cosx isn't the same thing as sinx(1 + cosx) man...

edit: sinx + sinxcosx would be (1 + cosx) but it's sinx + sinx/cosx (division, not multiplication)

You just need to take sinx+tanx/cosx +1 and make that equal tanx without jumping the equal...

Easy trig identity question for 2.8k reps

(sinx + tanx) / (cosx + 1) = tanx

Prove that it's an identity. I'm stuck on this one, it's definitely an identity, can anyone show step by step how they solved it?
